Accidentally Yours, Mr. Stranger-Chapter 88: Marriage Contract - Part 1
Chapter 88: Marriage Contract - Part 1
"Is he still following us?" Sienna asked once they reached the path that led to the villa.
"No, he stopped following us after we left the club," Kyrell said, glancing at the side mirror.
He had noticed the man a long time ago. Although the man tried to remain inconspicuous, Kyrell and his team had noticed him within a second. Moreover, the man was riding a motorcycle. Even if it wasn’t something to be suspicious about, considering that a lot of young people were riding them, the man’s actions were what caught their attention.
The man wasn’t present when they left the villa. He only started following them after they departed from the restaurant.
Sienna nodded and stared at Kyrell thoughtfully.
"Why did you stop me from capturing him?" Kyrell asked curiously. He had wanted to capture the man the moment they discovered him. But Sienna had stopped him, commanding everyone to back off and let the matter go. She even told them not to bother with him unless he became a threat to her.
"The man doesn’t seem like someone who will harm me. I’m more interested in the person behind him," Sienna said, tapping her fingers on her thighs lightly.
Kyrell remained silent, glancing at Sienna before returning to his gaze on the road. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"After today, they will find out you and I are together."
"Is that why you kissed me?" Kyrell asked, feeling incredulous. Although he loved everything that had happened, he still felt uncomfortable when he thought that Sienna only kissed him for the man to see. He clenched the steering wheel tightly and pursed his lips.
"No, I actually wanted to kiss you. It has nothing to do with the fact that the man was keeping an eye on me," Sienna said honestly.
Kyrell’s mood lifted instantly, and his heart bloomed in joy. His dark expression vanished, and he couldn’t stop smiling again. A sense of relief and ecstasy washed over him, and he grinned at Sienna, who hadn’t moved her gaze away from him.
"But I guess me kissing you served another purpose as well."
"Will you be in danger?" Kyrell asked, fearing what lay ahead for her. Although he’d always be beside her to protect her, he was still scared. What if something happened right under his nose? What was he to do? The fear of her being in danger was so strong that he had had nightmares about it. It had kept him awake a few nights to the extent that he had gone without sleep for more than two days.
"Perhaps." Sienna didn’t deny the possibility. She was already in danger. After tonight, maybe she’d be attacked even more.
"What are you going to do now?" Kyrell asked, his lips taut and his jaw tense.
"I’m going to wait. Whoever it is will strike soon, considering that the matter about the will and the conditions stated in it will be revealed to the public in the morning," Sienna said, turning to look out of the window. The cool breeze calmed her heart, and she clutched the seat belt to control her emotions.
"Sienna, do you think they’ll show themselves this time?" Kyrell wasn’t that confident. It didn’t seem that easy.
"Maybe, maybe not. We’ll have to wait and watch. But through this plan, I can at least get a few answers."
Kyrell quirked a brow questioningly. But Sienna didn’t say anything, and the couple remained silent until they returned to the villa.
"Please come to my room in half an hour. I have something important to speak to you about," Sienna said before getting out of the car, and Kyrell nodded.
Kyrell got out of the car and leaned against it while he waited for his friends.
"Ky, why did you stop us from capturing that man?" Xavier asked when he reached him. He was frustrated whenever he thought about it. His hands were itching to punch someone for a long time, and they finally found an outlet, only for it to slip through their fingers. What was Kyrell thinking?
"It was Sienna’s orders."
"Huh?" Xavier was confused.
Not just him, but even the others were baffled. They stared at Kyrell interrogatively, waiting for him to spit out the truth.
"Sienna is trying to lure the master mind out."
"But how?" Isaac frowned, unable to keep up with Kyrell’s words. "Did Miss Lawrence and you plan something?" he asked. It was the only possibility.
Kyrell nodded, giving his friends a look, and they didn’t delve into the matter anymore. Since the plan was in motion, they were relieved and even felt that letting go of the man wasn’t in vain.
"Be alert from now on. The threat to Sienna’s life might have just increased," Kyrell warned, and the others nodded, their expressions grim yet determined.
"Will you be in danger? Now that Miss Lawrence and you will be getting married soon?" Kyle asked, his voice gravelly after not having spoken for some time.
"Maybe." Kyrell didn’t deny it. Since he’d be marrying Sienna, his life would be in danger as well. After all, whoever wanted to kill Sienna wouldn’t allow her to have someone like him in her life.
"Be careful, Ky," Xavier warned, and Kyrell nodded.
"Are there any other instructions for us?" Kelsey asked once everyone went silent.
"Nothing much. Just be careful and keep an eye out for danger."
Everybody hummed before they retired for the night.
Meanwhile, Kyrell took a quick shower and went to meet Sienna half an hour later.
Knocking at the door, he waited patiently. Once he heard her voice, he entered the room and stood by the door.
"Lock the door, please," Sienna said and tied her hair into a bun.
Kyrell had never seen Sienna so laid back and casual. Even when they met in the mornings before she got ready for work, she hadn’t looked so casual. Dressed in a tank top and shorts, she looked more homely and less domineering.
"If you’re done admiring me, can we get to the important matter?" Sienna teased, and Kyrell cleared his throat awkwardly.
Once he locked the door, Sienna gestured for him to sit beside her, and Kyrell walked stiffly until he reached the bed.
"Please take a look at this and tell me if you want to modify something." Sienna handed him a file, and Kyrell took it with a questioning gaze.
"What’s this?"
"Our marriage contract."
