Achieving Nothing, I Can Only Be the Pirate King-Chapter 600 - 355: Old Navy, New Pirate
"Huff, huff..."
On an island, a guy wearing red armor, draped in a black cloak, with a braid and bronze skin, was running desperately.
Bang bang bang!
Gunshots continuously rang from behind him, with bullets either whizzing past his body or striking the ground where he was moving, splattering clumps of dirt.
"Catch him!"
"Don’t let him get away!"
A group of Pirates wielding weapons were pursuing him from behind.
There were over a hundred of them, all firing their triggers while chasing.
Bang bang!
Another series of gunshots, and the bronze-skinned figure in front revealed a red dot in his eyes, turning around to strike with his elbow. His elbow carried a pitch-black hue, causing the incoming bullets to spark and ricochet off.
This guy had long arms, with two joints, belonging to the Long-armed Race.
After batting away the bullets, the Long-armed Race showed a trace of impatience. Normally, he would have killed these people outright instead of running like this.
But now, he really had no choice; he couldn’t stop.
Yet the attacks from behind were too overwhelming...
"Rankyaku!"
He swiftly turned, lifting his leg to draw out a Vacuum Slash, but it hadn’t flown far before two identical slashes immediately appeared around it.
Bang!
The Soaring Slashes collided, creating a gust of airwaves.
In this airwave, several shadows charged straight towards the long-armed figure, revealing eyes as pitch-black as night, each stomping rapidly over the ground, driving their bodies swiftly.
Six Styles, Soru!
The shadows split into left and right, arcing towards the Long-armed Race figure. He was about to pivot, but finding it too late, he could only clench his fists and punch fiercely to both sides.
Bang!
His fists collided with fists featuring black and gold-striped skin. Although he did not hold an advantage in strength, his fists clearly carried Haki, causing the opposing fists to swing apart after a brief stalemate.
But soon, more fists followed, with additional shadows exploiting the gaps in his attacks to target his body.
Despite his Observation sensing danger, he desired to defend himself, but with their overwhelming numbers, it was impossible to fend off all attacks.
Bang!
The Long-armed Race member fought with both hands and feet, retreating while fighting, yet he was ultimately overwhelmed by their numbers, getting hit squarely in the chest by an unexpected fist, flying backwards, and landing heavily on the ground.
At the moment of landing, a group of shadows encircled him in a circle, preventing any escape.
"You bastards!"
The Long-armed Race lifted his upper body halfway, clutching his chest and glaring at the group with entirely black eyes, gritting his teeth and saying, "Why do each of you know the Six Styles!"
"Master taught us."
In the crowd, an eight or nine-year-old child leisurely stepped forward, looked at this Long-armed Race member, and said:
"Shuzo, Navy Headquarters Commodore, Master said it’s a disgrace for a Commodore like you to come here as a hitman; stripping your skin publicly matches your identity better."
"Hmph, I’m no longer a Commodore; I’m free now!" Shuzo laughed. "Don’t think numbers will win!"
Las shook his head, "We know you wield Haki, but such power is good against one or two. Now, all 300 of our fellow tribesmen have arrived; everyone practices the Six Styles, so you’re no match for us. Capturing you here isn’t easy, nor will we let you escape easily."
"So what if you catch me; I won’t say anything."
Shuzo stood up, laughing heartily, "You damned Pirates will all disappear one day!"
"No need to say, we know who you are, Neo Navy division leader, under Zephyr."
Las said, "Also, Master said, even if you are Five Elders’ son, this time you’ll be caught and skinned!"
Catching this guy wasn’t easy.
Besides Fix Island, they also lost a nearby island, where stationed people were completely wiped out, and their pirates’ belongings were plundered.
Las felt utterly humiliated then.
Following Master for so long, he’d never been so humiliated. Thus, he specifically sought Lady Lily to have the Sea Map for this area’s vicinity drawn, then informed nearby islands to watch for a Long-armed Race member.
Fortunately, though the previous subordinates died, nearby villagers saw him clearly, finally confirming all his features.
With the features pinpointed, the task became manageable.
Sage’s intelligence might not match Big Mom’s first-class industry, but when investigating the Navy, nobody could surpass him.
Even if CP and the Navy’s intelligence aren’t shared, investigating a few Navy identities was still achievable.
Thus they discovered Shuzo, the former Navy Headquarters Commodore.
For this guy, Las brought along all his fellow tribesmen, aiming to capture him completely!
Facing a Shuzo, master of the Six Styles, Observation, and Armament.
All 300 of them, belonging to the Demon Race, also mastered the Six Styles, with some wielding Armament, others Observation, and though few knew Haki, it was definitely enough.
This Shuzo carried quite a nice strength. If it were by strength division, he might reach Vice Admiral, except for lacking military achievements.
Yet even a Vice Admiral, facing their 300, the most elite of the Disaster Pirates, was ultimately bound to fail.
"Capture him!" Las swung his hand vigorously, all 300 Demon Race charged forth.
...
Storm City.
Royal Palace.
Sage was at that moment in a resting room, leaning against a luxurious gemstone-embellished sofa, absentmindedly tapping his golden jewel-ringed fingers.
He bit into a cigar, turning to look at the perfectly manicured, lush, and vibrant garden outside the window, exhaling smoke.
In front of him, Lily stood.
"Las called; Shuzo has been caught and is returning. Sage, isn’t it necessary to take precautions, considering Zephyr..."
Sage waved his hand, halting Lily’s words.
"Why worry about such newcomer Pirates? Not even needed; once the tracks are found, I’ll personally make a trip!"
Having found the culprit, they also identified Shuzo’s current identity and his leader.
Intel claimed Zephyr quit the Navy, taking along a bunch of defected Navy men, forming a ’New Navy’ named ’Neo Navy,’ engaging in underworld confrontations in the New World.
This group doesn’t rob civilians nor confront the Navy, but targets Pirates specifically, aiming to kill.
No Pirate encountered by them ever survived.
But that doesn’t differ much from Pirates anyway.
Not robbing civilians?
Not confronting the Navy?
Such types exist among Pirates too.
Whereas underworld feuds, well, that’s exclusively Pirate territory.
Shedding the Navy skin, no matter how old, from an essence standpoint, Zephyr became a New World newcomer Pirate.
Otherwise, even Urouge could be deemed an old senior; how could he be considered of the same era as Sage and Hawkins.
"Hahaha, really damned interesting."
Sage crushed the cigar into the ashtray, casually took the Gemstone Wine Glass, and drank half of it.
"Without that skin, wanting trouble seeks abound, yet those haven’t come for you, instead you came messing with me, am I so easy to bully?"
Sage swirled the wine glass, glancing at the remaining swirling liquid, scoffing:
"Seems truly fallen, huh. From not-killing to must-kill, that’s not change of willpower; it’s a willpower weakened till it rebounds from hitting rock bottom, dying well."
