Adventures of the last Wild Dragon-Chapter 203: After meal Treat
As the final item of food was eaten Violet collapsed back on the floor whilst letting out a bliss filled moan of delight.
Never had she experienced food such as what she had tasted this day, it made all other food that she had ever eaten seem like bland tasteless slop.
Then their was the deserts! The creamy ice cream, the sour bite of the berry tarts, the luxurious taste of the chocolate cake. It was all too much for the dragon to process in a single sitting, resulting in her current state of unresponsive bliss.
Luna and Rhyana were not much better off either, both girls having gorged themselves on the various dishes that seemed to never end. Each of the 3 beast girls having eaten nearly their entire body weight in food, well their weight when in humanoid form anyway.
The only two enlightened, Susan and Isabella had been forced to pace themselves somewhat, although Susan definitely ate more than she ever would have thought she could stomach.
Isabella for her part was in slight awe at the amount the girls had eaten. She had to ask the servers to just keep coming with more and more food to satiate their appetites. She was internally wincing as she wondered exactly how much this meal would cost her, yet at the same time, she did enjoy the evening so viewed it as a worthwhile expense.
Eventually the girls began to rouse from their food coma, they were still unable to form coherent words, but they could at least function well enough to sit upright so it was a definite improvement.
"So I take it that you girls enjoyed your dinner?" The elf asked with a slight smile at the slightly rotund stomachs of the girls.
"Mmph, it was amazing!" Violet said, opting to use telepathy as she found speaking manually to be too much work at the current time.
"Fufufu, I’m glad that you enjoyed yourselves. And I must say again, it was a pleasure to have met you today, I do hope that we could do something similar again. Maybe the two of you might be interested in attending a tournament at some point?" She directed the last part at Rhyana and Susan.
The glanced at each other, clearly communicating through their bond before Susan chose to spoke up. "It has been a pleasure to get to know you too, but I think we will have to turn down your offer of participating ourselves, at least for the time being, maybe one day but not right now."
Her answer seemed to be enough for the elf as she chose to not pursue that line of inquests any further. Instead she broached a different topic. "Do you all have a place that you can stay the night at? If not I can recomend a place for you?" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Luna managed to recover enough to answer for them this time. "No thank you, we already have rooms back at an inn so no need for us to stay somewhere else."
Isabella smiled at them at that. From there they talked about some small topics for a bit longer, before the girls decided that they had recovered enough to make the effort to stand.
As they exited the establishment Isabella bowed slightly towards the girls. "Once more I wish you all the best, if you ever need to get in contact with me you should be able to find me at the colosseum, or at least be able to get a message across to me from there. But for now I shall bid you all a good night."
With that they all said their goodbyes as the elf and the party went their separate ways. The girls now having the tast of locating the inn that they were staying at the previous night.
Whilst they knew the general direction that the inn was supposed to be found at, they had managed to get lost in the maze that made up the city streets.
They soon found themselves wandering into a part of the city that looked much less welcoming than the parts that they had previously traversed. The buildings were in various states of disrepair, trash could be found piled up along the streets and the general populace that resided here wore threadbare clothing.
The people themselves also seemed much less friendly than others. Shooting them gazes that held a hint of hostility or fear.
The girls soon found themselves walking down a side street in an attempt to leave this district when their path forward was blocked by two burly dwarves.
"Well well well, looks like we have ourselves some tourists. What are you pretty ladies doing wandering these here streets, you know it’s not safe to wander around here right?" The one on the left stated as he raked his eyes over the girls.
"Oh? How would it not be safe for us?" Asked Violet, she was genuinely curious as to his answer given that she had already felt that everyone in this area was noticeably weaker than any of her friends. Even the two men before her were likely not even in the late stages of tier 3 and they were already the strongest individuals that she had noted since entering this more run down section of the city.
"That’s simple really, you might find yourselves wandering into a place that you shouldn’t." This time the man on the right spoke. As he did several more figures entered the alleyway behind them, effectively blocking off their escape. Well it would have if they had even intended to escape in the first place.
"Really now? And what would happen if we were to encounter such a place?" Luna asked the man. She did not feel threatened by the number of people closing in on them, whilst they had their group outnumbered 2 to 1, their pitiful strength was not enough to intimidate her.
"Well they may require a... toll to be paid for safe passage through their territory." The left dwarf said.
"And what would happen if we refused to pay such a toll?" Asked Susan, understanding her friends well enough to understand what would happen next should these ruffians decide to push their luck much further.
"Then we would be forced to take the toll from you by force." This time they opted to entirely drop the act of being a concerned citizen. "Now hand over your coins or we will take them from you."
Violet and Luna were about to step forward when they felt a hand land on their shoulder. Turning they saw Rhyana looking at them with a predatory grin on her face. She clearly wanted to deal with this herself, she likely wanted to have a fight of her own after witnessing so many fights earlier in the day.
"We are going to have to say no to that." Susan said coolly.
"In fact I have a better idea." Rhyana spoke up. "Why don’t you hand over your coins and we may forgive this misunderstanding."
The left dwarf scoffed at her words, clearly not liking being threatened himself. He then made a gesture of some kind which prompted the thugs behind the girls to rush forwards.
Rhyana let her small smile grow wide as she turned around to face the oncoming thugs. No electricity danced along her body this time, she felt no need to use any magic to deal with the incoming threat.
Instead she rushed forwards herself, her fist impacting the face of the closest thug with a satisfying crunch as his nose was shattered from the impact, his body flying backwards to impact into the thugs behind him.
Rhyana opened her arms wide as she gazed down at her prey that had served themselves up to her. ’This is going to be fun.’
