Aether Chronicles: Birth Of A Legend-Chapter 339: Somewhere Down South?
After escaping the main gate, the girls vanished into the distance. Selene risked one last look as she noticed the fox woman Aiko joining Elara, they stood alone against the tide. She met Selene's eyes across the carnage, winked, and leapt into the fray, using her eastern magic to kill the school guards.
They all noticed the two women became mist and fury, a storm of magic, claws and steel that swallowed the pursuit whole. The last thing they saw was Elara's silhouette, swords high, enemies breaking against her like waves on obsidian, before the mist closed and she was gone.
Drakenwood fell silent behind them, save for the distant clash of a lone warrior holding the gate of hell itself. The group was resting in a secluded clearing just outside Willowbank Village, catching thier breaths. Sasha and Mirella had joined them on their escape, the purple eyed twin sat up.
''Will Elara and Aiko be okay?'' she asked, a worried expression crossing her face. ''I mean they see us as the enemy.''
''The rebels won't touch them,'' Zahara revealed. ''They will be put in prison and used to lure Rae in when he returns from the south.''
Just then, everyone turned to Alice who was still recovering but Selene questioned. ''Have you heard from them yet? You gave them the device?''
''Their plate isn't connecting,'' the blonde sighed. ''Looks like their either trapped somewhere we can reach them or it's broke but I doubt that, father spent a lot of gold for them.''
''Damn!'' the Demoness complained.
''Calm down, Sel,'' Dominique finally spoke up. ''We need to head south before chaos reaches us or the rebels catch up.''
Everyone agreed and stood up just as a rustle from nearby appeared, causing everyone to spin in the sounds direction, ready for a fight. Only to be shocked when two women stepped out of the shadows. The group recognized them as Cecelia and her maid Diana but the older woman stepped forward.
''Can I get rid of this form, my lady?'' she asked.
''Yes Diana, we're no longer safe and you no longer need to hide,'' the purple-haired woman replied.
Selene, Sasha and Mirella stepped in front of the others, alert but the blind noble spoke. ''I mean you five no harm. We're here to join you.''
''Unfortunely,'' Diana muttered before Aether washed over her.
When the six women saw the transformation they were shocked as a tall gorgeous Orc woman stood there, she had light green skin with dark green hair and big blue eyes, she was built like a warrior with muscles but it didn't take away from her beauty. Her chest strained against the leather armor.
This caught all their attention as Selene shook her head. ''No! Just no!''
Alice and Dominique agreed, confusing Zahara who looked at her bestfriends. ''What do you mean, no?''
''Look at her, Zee!'' the Demoness blurted out. ''She's gorgeous, built like a goddess and stubborn. Just the type of older woman Rae likes.''
Sasha was the next to talk. ''She's got a killer body for an older woman, much like Dahlia who is our sister.''
''Our sister?'' Dominique asked, green eyes narrowed.
''Yes, Blackwood likes us and who want to sexy twins to have a threesome with?'' Mirelle suddenly added, her big chest bouncing whenever she moved.
This shocked everyone, even Cecelia and Diana who blushed. Zahara giggled as she felt her cheeks heating up. ''You dirty bitches, we don't even know how Rae feels about you two.''
The Half-Elf's eyes widened in realization as her head snapped back to the Orc woman. ''I agree but we need all the help we can get.''
''Makes sense,'' Selene added with a knowing grin. ''I've seen the way he looks at you both. Especially Mirelle and her devious curves and big boobs!''
As the short-haired young woman heard this, she blushed to the point even her ears turned bright red, making the other twin giggle as Dominique turned on her. ''And you with your ass and seductive cleavage that he constantly looks at, we know what you do Sasha Harker.''
Sasha couldn't help but smile as she teased the Vampress. ''Good, because I train hard to get a body like this, though I must admit that you all are gorgeous as well.''
''Enough!'' Diana suddenly shouted. ''You girls don't have to worry, I hate that human with a passion, I would never lay with him even if My Lady does.''
Everyone looked at the Orc woman like she was an idiot as Selene began laughing before rebuking her. ''You say this now but you haven't met Nivara yet, she hated him now she wanted to bounce on his cock.''
''Shut up, Sel,'' Zahara snapped at the Demoness. ''Stop being so dirty, it's bad enough with these two.''
She pointed at the Harker twins who stuck their tongues out at the Half-Elf as Cecelia stepped forward. ''Diana can keep things calm, do you want our help or not?''
''Yes,'' they answered.
''You do realize we're leaving the empire? Raegar is somewhere down south?'' Alice informed the newcomers.
''That's acceptable, Dawnfire is crumbling thanks to an unknown power,'' the blind beauty asked.
''The Old Ones,'' Zahara revealed. ''Raegar fought one already and they're strong, forcing him to focus on increasing his elements and Tier.''
Cecelia nodded. ''Makes sense, but now Dawnfire isn't a home for him. The Fall is coming, and I fear this is the beginning,'' she said.
Following that, the women continued talking before getting on the road. While traveling Southeast to the Vaelthorne Estate, they came across a raging battle. The loyal Dawnfirians were fighting against the rebe;s and losing. Without a word, Dominique brought out ten Death Knights and their leader.
''Kill all the rebels!'' she ordered, rage filling her.
The Undead rushed toward the enemy only to crash into the frontlines, blades, claws and teeth tore through dozens of soldiers. As this happened, Zahara cast a shield over the group as a wave of spell hit it. She gritted her teeth but deflected the attack into a group of rebels turning them into meat chunks.
She turned to the others, grey eyes full of seriousness. ''We need to move and reach the Vaethornes, they'll be holding out in their stronghold of a home.''
Everyone agreed, rushing away from the battle as it got worse as the Death Knight vanished due to taking so much damage. They continued running for miles, hours turned to days thanks to sneaking past rebel blockades or fighting them when forced to. By the time they reached the Vaelthorne's it was pure chaos.
The massive estate was underseige from two side as some of the Imperial Army had joined the rebellion alongside a northern army. While the girls planned to help out, Raegar was discovering something horrifying that would change his entire journey.

Raegar landed in the Night Peoples tunnel with a thud as Nivara silently appeared, the Dark Elf at home in the darkness. Thanks to his senses getting better thanks to leveling up his elements he got used to the shadows. There was a single entrance that led further into the den of monsters.
The silver-haired Elf was ready, daggers in hand as Drusilla appeared, returning to her human sized form. She glanced around, sniffing the air before shivering. ''I can sense death coming from this place.''
''Be careful you two,'' he whispered, summoning his daggers.
Following that, the trio stepped down the tunnel, sometime later a chittering noise echoed out as one of the humanoid creatures lunged from the darkness, swiping its class. Raegar leaned back before hitting it with a Lightningfire Blast, it was sent flying back, crashing into the wall, hitting the ground.
More rushed from the shadows, forcing the women to get invovled as they watched his back, killing any Night People that attacked from behind. The three continued fighting until piles of bodies was left in their wake. By the time they reached the first chamber, Raegar was breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling thanks to all the fighting he had been doing.
It looked like some kind of food storage place, rotten flesh littered the ground with piles of bones. When Nivara saw this, she muttered. ''Just like the stories, they hunt on the surface but also the outside world.''
After speaking, the Dark Elf pointed to a nearby corpse clad in Dawnfirian armor—marking the soldier as a survivor of the razed frontier outpost. The group pressed onward, pausing only to snatch a handful of coin pouches from a shadowed corner. Hours later, they finally crossed paths with another band of travelers.
Hours bled into one another as the group trudged through the unlit veins of the earth, boots grinding against stone that had forgotten the sun. The air grew colder, heavier, tasting of iron and old smoke. Then the tunnel widened without warning, exhaling a faint, greenish glow that painted the walls in sickly light.
Raegar was shocked when seeing the scene in front of him.
