Affinity: Chaos-Chapter 1545 ReChapter ynolds' Breakthrough
Grey and Klaus were busy dealing with some of the businesses of the Gnomes in the human world, Reynolds and Alice were trying to get to the Sovereign Plane.
Both were using the same tactic which was through multiple battles.
Over the course of the past few weeks, they've been involved in numerous battles, winning most, and occasionally withdrawing from the ones that were above their ability. There have been times they've fought against multiple opponents at the same level as they were, and they've almost lost their lives in the process, but in the end, they would either successfully retreat, or make them retreat.
Their days have been filled with the stress of the continuous battles, but they're growing with each battle.
Reynolds' Elemental Warrior was just shy of the Sovereign Plane at the moment, and thanks to it, he could fight against Pseudo-sovereigns. After his battle with the Griffin, he opted to fight against more Peak Rank Seven Magical Beasts compared to humans. Beasts were stronger which meant they would be able to put more pressure on him.
….
Bang! Boom!
A sigh of relief was heard in the small shack in the woods as a large creature fell to the ground. This creature was a Centipede at the Peak of the Seventh Rank.
On the other side, the figure of a person covered with lightning armor appeared. Reynolds has been battling with this Centipede for a few days now. The Centipede was difficult to kill. Its exoskeleton made its defense terrifying. No matter how powerful Reynolds' attacks were, they found it difficult to penetrate the exoskeleton of the Centipede.
Reynolds returned to his normal state and looked at the large corpse before him. He has been staying in the woods for some time now. Other than attacking Magical Beasts in the forests, he would occasionally head to town in search of information about any Magical Beast terrorizing any area. As long as it's within his ability, he would rush there and engage in a battle with the Magical Beast.
During these past few days, he has somewhat developed some fame in this region after he killed most of the Magical Beasts destroying Towns and Cities. Reynolds' young age and high cultivation stage made his fame grow at a shocking speed.
In the end, he started staying in the woods since he was getting invited visitors.
With each battle he engages in, he cultivates just as hard as his battles to prepare himself for his breakthrough. At the moment, he could feel that he was very close to getting to the Sovereign Plane. Although he has been getting this feeling for a while, he feels it will happen very soon this time around.
He walked into the shack, not even bothering with the corpse of the Centipede. This Centipede naturally has uses, but Reynolds has gotten so many Magical Beasts corpses in his spatial ring and he didn't think he would be able to store another one inside.
After entering the shack, he sat down cross-legged and looked up. His gaze was steady and firm.
"This time, I'll succeed." He muttered and shut his eyes, entering a focused state.
Time ticked by slowly with Reynolds sitting in the same position. He didn't open his eyes as he calmly absorbed the essence energy around him, refining his core and body with it.
A day and a half went by in the blink of an eye with Reynolds sitting in the same position like a statue.
After a day and half, a change finally occurred. A gust blew around the shack as Reynolds felt his body enlarging. His body was physically growing larger, but he could sense that his body was growing, creating space to contain more essence energy. He knew what this meant, he's on the verge of breaking through to the Sovereign Plane.
After so long, even though he wasn't as fast as Grey and Klaus, he was still here in the end. It took a few months later, but he's finally on the verge of getting to the First stage of the Sovereign Plane.
Essence energy gathered in the sky, and they shot straight into the shack. Reynolds remained sitting as the essence energy shot into his body. His aura grew as the essence energy entered his body. It was growing at a fast pace. Before long, it was at the very end of the Venerable Plane, a thin veil was all that was stopping Reynolds from becoming a Sovereign at the moment.
He finally opened his mouth and yelled, staring at the sky from his broken shack roof. He looked up and his figure shot into the sky.
His body was covered with lightning armor, and like a lightning God, he stood in the sky as the essence gathered around him. His body was like a vortex as he absorbed everything.
He felt a cracking sound in his body. Just like ice, the sound continued and before long, a popping sound was heard. It was as if the thin veil blocking his path had been destroyed.
Reynolds' aura burst out, and it wasn't that of someone who just entered the Sovereign Plane, rather, he had the aura of a Second stage Sovereign. From what he could tell, it was all due to the Elemental Warrior he used as an armor. He read about the massive hike of Elemental Warriors cutting down once the Elementalist gets to the Sovereign Plane.
However, there's a difference now. He could actively cultivate the Elemental Warrior to make it grow stronger. It wasn't easy, but he was confident he could achieve that.
At the moment, the Elemental Warrior was on the same stage as himself, and if he failed to cultivate it, he would grow stronger than it. The biggest advantage of Elemental Warriors was their ability to have a higher cultivation stage as their owners.
Luckily, cultivating them wasn't as hard as humans, meaning, as long as he could feed it with top tier lightning treasures, it would grow pretty fast. This will also help Reynolds' cultivation speed.
