After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic-Chapter 842: If I Lived in Ancient Times, I’d Definitely Be a Fatuous Ruler
Isabella Weaver placed her hand in the palm of Harry Hunter, who tightly clasped his large hand around hers. Together, they walked down the steps toward the dazzling Maybach.
She raised the corners of her lips in a smile.
Cora Ginger has changed, so what?
As long as her Harry will never change, that’s enough.
"Hubby, what are we eating tonight? I’m kind of craving crispy fried anchovies."
Harry raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed that his little wife had improved a lot mentally, knowing that Cora Ginger was plotting against her, yet still keeping her composure and thinking about eating anchovies. Much better than last time.
Last time, she couldn’t control her emotions and was almost on the verge of breakdown with sadness.
Harry held her hand tightly and led her into the car, instructing David to drive as he said, "I’ll ask Zoe Lewis to come to our house to cook for you. But those anchovies are a bit troublesome; the kind you had last time is a specialty from Mount Verity, not sold on the market. You have to go there and catch them fresh."
Seeing his serious expression, Isabella hugged him with a smile, "Alright, I’m just kidding. No need to catch the fish, and definitely don’t have Zoe come over to cook. It wouldn’t look right; after all, she’s not a real chef."
Zoe Lewis is now her secret ally, always helpful in critical moments, making a huge difference. To have Zoe cook would be a waste of talent.
Harry patted Isabella’s head, kissed her ear, and said earnestly, "Isabella, whatever you want, as long as you like it, I can fulfill it for you. You are my treasure, my cherished wife. Let alone asking Zoe to come cook fish, even if we invited her father, Evan Lewis, to be the chef, he’d be grateful to come!"
Isabella stared at him in amazement; he was too... domineering!
Harry pinched her chin, his lips almost touching hers, "Baby, do you admire me? Hmm? Yes, your husband is this powerful, so you should be more confident when you go out. If anyone dares to question you, just say it’s because your husband spoils you."
Isabella lightly kissed him, "Hubby."
"Mm."
"You look so handsome today."
"Really?"
"Yes, my heart is racing. I feel like I’ve fallen for you all over again."
"So how many times have you fallen for me in total?"
"I can’t remember, so many times. I always feel moved, wondering if there’s something wrong with my heart."
Harry pulled her into his embrace, holding her tightly, not speaking for a long time.
She loves him.
Every day, she loves him.
He knows.
But she doesn’t know that he truly loves her to the point of wanting to satisfy her every little desire, willing to spend a fortune for her, and to remove everyone who makes her unhappy.
If this were ancient times, he’d definitely be a foolish king, one willing to bear the world’s scorn for her.
His voice was low and husky, "Sweetheart, be good. I love you, very much. Do I not say this often? I’ll say it more in the future for you. Today, when I sent you those three words, I missed you terribly. Looking at the wood carving you made for me, my mind was filled with you. Without a reply from you, I almost couldn’t resist coming to find you." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
As Isabella listened, tears fell suddenly, and she snuggled into Harry, endearingly calling him hubby. If it weren’t for being in the car, with David driving in the front, she might have torn his clothes off, clinging to him even more fervently.
Harry kissed her, ignoring David, treating him like air. At this moment, anyone around wouldn’t stop him from kissing her.
He never cared about others’ opinions!
