After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic-Chapter 860: Tired, Taking a Break
"Connor, do you still like her?"
The King was furious, "She has always been hiding by your side, surely waiting for a chance to kill you. She has countless identities, she’s a ruthless spy! And you still refuse to kill her, you’ve disappointed me greatly!"
Connor was indifferent to his anger.
He had long known she was not any kind-hearted person and had already witnessed her tactics.
Natalie is no good person, but is the King any better?
A man who can abandon his son so easily has no right to order him around!
Not to mention he has feelings for Natalie, even if he didn’t know her, he wouldn’t seek revenge on her.
"I’m going for training."
Connor walked a few steps, then paused: "Also, I won’t marry Kaylee, if you like her, marry her yourself."
After he spoke, he left, leaving the King shaking with rage.
But he had no choice, as now he had only this one son left, if not him, who would inherit the throne?
While the entire S Kingdom was searching for Natalie Niles, she had already assumed another identity and was on a plane back home.
Her timing was perfect; any later, and the King’s warrant would have reached the airport, and she might not even have been able to board the plane.
David was conducting his routine patrol around the villa at night when he discovered that the lights in Connor’s house were on. He went in to see Natalie Niles sitting in the living room drinking tea!
He was so shocked his jaw almost dropped: "Aren’t you supposed to be in the S Kingdom?"
Natalie sipped her tea, looking at the latest international news, and replied calmly, "I couldn’t stay in the S Kingdom anymore, so I came back."
"And Connor? How’s he? Weren’t you there to help him? How will he manage after you’ve left?"
"He’s fine, he’s already established himself, and the power Young Master Hunter gave him is enough for him to protect himself."
If she stayed there any longer, not only would she not help Connor, but she would also cause him enormous trouble.
Her leaving is what’s best for him.
"What about you now? Will you stay here? Not going back to find Connor?"
"I’m tired, need a break, I’ll stay here for a while. If there’s any trouble that needs solving, remember to call me."
David looked complexed; could she really stay here?
She’s too close to the Young Master!
She is so dangerous, and if she harbors any ill intent, the consequences could be dire!
David didn’t dare be negligent and immediately went to report to Harry Hunter.
Harry’s response was calm; he had received the news the moment Natalie returned, and wasn’t surprised she moved into Connor’s place.
"Don’t worry about her, let her stay."
Someone like Natalie, if she wants to do something bad, it doesn’t matter where she lives.
However, judging from her recent activities, Harry felt that she was in a low period and showed no interest in anything.
Given her capabilities, if she wanted to remain in the S Kingdom, she absolutely could have.
But she chose not to linger, and left directly.
Harry pondered indifferently, if Natalie lives a peaceful life in A City, that would be the best scenario. Considering Connor and Johan Niles, she could have a place to stay.
The night grew deep, and Harry sent David off and returned to the living room.
Isabella Weaver was asleep on the sofa with a book in her hands.
Her recent days had been comfortable, her complexion glowing, and even her hair shimmered with health.
She experienced none of the discomforts common during pregnancy, so much so that she often forgot she was expecting, still leaping into his arms as she used to.
Harry gently touched her flat abdomen, his expression tender.
From now on, he had one more person to protect.
