After Descending the Mountain, Seven Big Brothers Spoil Me-Chapter 1069: She Has a Stomach Full of Mischief
Zhao Xinghua quickly had the place tidied up, and Zhouzhou, skipping along happily, went over to help. She even brought all the cups and chairs from her room for their use, bustling around energetically.
Qiu Guoliang looked at her, his eyes softening.
Once everything was done, Zhao Xinghua said, "You all can rest for a while. If you need anything, just come find me."
Since the group was spread out in separate rooms, Zhao Xinghua assigned someone to stay with each of them for convenience and to help look after them.
There were many admirers of Qiu Guoliang in the Fourth Bureau, so when they heard that they would be choosing roommates for him and the others, everyone rushed to volunteer.
Zhouzhou raised her little chubby hand, shouting, "I want to live with my Master Uncle!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Lingfeng glanced at her, narrowing his eyes.
Zhouzhou blinked innocently, giving him a look of wide-eyed innocence.
Ye Lingfeng smirked and turned to Qiu Guoliang. "Master, just a heads up—don’t let her innocent face fool you. She’s full of mischief."
Hearing this, Zhouzhou puffed out her cheeks, tilting her head as she shot him a displeased look.
Her father was tarnishing her reputation! She was going to make a fuss now!
Qiu Guoliang couldn’t help but let a smile flicker in his eyes.
Zhao Xinghua also laughed, then said to Ye Lingfeng, "Where did you get the idea to speak like that about your own daughter? Zhouzhou is such a good child."
"Exactly!" Zhouzhou nodded, her little head bobbing vigorously as she propped her chin with her chubby little hand, agreeing wholeheartedly with Zhao Xinghua’s words. She was indeed a good girl!
Ye Lingfeng clicked his tongue and shook his head. He had learned to indulge her, but one day, when she caused trouble, he wouldn’t come to their rescue.
He gave Zhouzhou’s hair a light tug. "Behave yourself and get some rest. We’ll start training tomorrow morning."
"Okay!" Zhouzhou nodded obediently, looking perfectly well-behaved.
Ye Lingfeng looked at her, though a sense of unease lingered in his heart. This little girl was up to something again.
He gave her one last glance but couldn’t figure out what she was plotting. With a sigh, he turned and left.
Zhouzhou waved her little chubby hand at him, her lips curling into a mischievous grin.
Once he had left, Zhouzhou sat down on a little stool beside the bed, cupping her face in her hands as she started telling Qiu Guoliang a story. She recounted tales that her teacher had told her back at school.
Qiu Guoliang listened quietly, his eyes flicking toward the door where a shadow peeked out.
Ye Lingfeng returned, having made a quick roundabout, and stood for a while, listening. When he didn’t notice anything unusual, he quietly left again.
Zhouzhou’s ears twitched slightly, and Qiu Guoliang noticed this, smiling as he watched her.

His gaze had a natural sharpness to it, though not piercing. Zhouzhou wasn’t scared of him, but she knew she couldn’t lie under his watchful eye.
Of course, she hadn’t planned on lying.
When she was sure her father had truly left, Zhouzhou smiled at Qiu Guoliang and leaned in closer, whispering, "Master Uncle, could you do me a favor?"
Qiu Guoliang looked at her quietly, waiting for her to continue.
Zhouzhou said, "I want to go on a mission, to take care of those on the Dark Web’s wanted list. Master, would you help me?"
She looked at him expectantly.
Qiu Guoliang’s pupils contracted as soon as he heard this.
He had known that Zhouzhou was staying behind for a reason, but he hadn’t expected her to ask him something like this.
The people on the Dark Web’s wanted list? And she wanted to handle them alone? That was impossible!
His brows furrowed as he looked at her disapprovingly.
Zhouzhou didn’t rush. She said, "How about this, Master Uncle? Tomorrow, you check out my martial arts skills. If you think I’m capable, could you talk to my about it?"
After a moment’s hesitation, Qiu Guoliang nodded slightly.
He thought to himself that she was just a young girl, and even though she had been recruited by the Fourth Bureau at such a young age, it was probably because of her talent, and she was being brought in early so that she could be of use when she was older.
However, what he didn’t expect was that Zhouzhou had already gone on a few missions before.
And even more surprisingly, her martial arts skills were actually quite good.
After they agreed on this, Zhouzhou resumed telling Qiu Guoliang stories, keeping him entertained until he fell asleep.
The next morning, as soon as the sky brightened, Zhouzhou woke up, pushed Qiu Guoliang to the cafeteria for breakfast, and immediately took him to the training grounds.
Ye Lingfeng noticed them and, seeing what was going on, walked over to offer assistance. He also glanced at Zhouzhou, asking Qiu Guoliang, "Did this little girl ask for your help? Is she trying to go on a mission?"
Upon hearing this, Zhouzhou’s eyes widened. How did he know?
Seeing her expression, Ye Lingfeng immediately knew he was right. With a tired sigh, he pinched the bridge of his nose. This little chubby girl!
She was a complete handful!
Other girls were playing with toys and dressing up like princesses, and his daughter, on the other hand, was always trying to get into fights.
And not just any fight, but with the most dangerous criminals on the wanted list!
What was going on in her mind?
He had guessed this last night, and after thinking it through, he felt it was the most likely situation. This morning, he simply decided to probe her and had managed to get confirmation.
Zhouzhou had known that he wouldn’t agree, so she had gone ahead and asked Qiu Guoliang to speak on her behalf.
She had completely outplayed him!
Realizing this, Ye Lingfeng couldn’t help but glare at Zhouzhou.
Seeing she was caught, Zhouzhou turned her gaze away, feeling a little guilty.
Qiu Guoliang, watching the exchange between father and daughter, almost burst into laughter.
These two were so in tune with each other, it was like watching a little drama unfold. It was quite amusing.
However, Ye Lingfeng wasn’t finding it funny.
He couldn’t resist poking Zhouzhou’s forehead and warning, "Behave. No more trouble. If you keep at it, I’ll tell Qin Lie. Let’s see if he’ll throw a tantrum and start crying."
At this, Zhouzhou’s eyes widened. How could he say that?
She stamped her foot angrily, huffing, "Tattletale!"
Ye Lingfeng glanced at her coldly. "I learned it from you."
He wasn’t going to let her get away with it that easily.
Zhouzhou was seething, her hands on her hips, puffing out her cheeks. She looked so angry that she resembled a pufferfish.
When Zhao Xinghua entered and saw this scene, he couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
"Zhouzhou, who’s bullying you? Tell me, I’ll help you teach them a lesson."
He said, looking directly at Ye Lingfeng.
Ye Lingfeng just snorted, not even bothering to answer.
He was doing this on purpose, trying to get Zhouzhou to say something, so that he could use it against her later.
But to his surprise, Zhao Xinghua seemed to be on Zhouzhou’s side.
Zhouzhou hadn’t yet realized that Zhao Xinghua also wanted her to get into some real action. She had completely forgotten about that thought and was now focused entirely on glaring at Ye Lingfeng.
Her dad was simply too much!
He used to call her "baby" when he was being sweet, and now he was calling her a "little liar"?
As expected, all her bad habits were inherited from him!
Father and daughter were locked in a staring contest, each trying to outstare the other, and Qiu Guoliang couldn’t help but smile wider.
As they faced off, someone suddenly burst into the room with urgent news, which immediately wiped the smiles off their faces.
He said, "Li Huan has been exposed!"
