Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Kick Out Amelia Sutton

Chloe White let out a laugh. "Someone’s about to get kicked to the curb. I’ve got to record this so everyone can get a good look."

Eva Monroe was about to explode with anger. She stepped in front of Eliza Sutton. "I’d like to see who dares lay a hand on Eliza!"

Amelia Sutton frowned. "Eva Monroe, you’re a lady from the distinguished Monroe family. Why are you always messing around with someone like Eliza Sutton?"

"Birds of a feather flock together. Eva Monroe is so fond of Eliza Sutton, maybe she wants to do some time in prison herself."

"Then Eva Monroe had better suck up to Eliza Sutton. After all, she has connections on the inside."

The back-and-forth mockery from Amelia Sutton and Chloe White made Eva Monroe snap. She pointed at Chloe White and let her have it. "You’re not wrong! You and Amelia Sutton really are two peas in an evil pod. But you’ve got one up on her—at least you’re openly nasty. Not like Amelia, who’s always using you as her attack dog. She reaps all the rewards and still manages to look like a saint. Poor you. Have you taken a look at your reputation lately?"

Eva Monroe was sick to death of Amelia Sutton. The woman always put on an act of being so prim and proper, but she was rotten to the core.

Chloe White’s expression changed in an instant, and she eyed her with suspicion.

Amelia Sutton quickly interjected, "Chloe, you know how I am with you, don’t you? Don’t listen to Eva Monroe trying to drive a wedge between us. The woman’s a lunatic."

"Of course I’m not falling for it. I was just thinking I should record this to show your future boyfriend. Let him know what a troublemaker you are. Who knows when you’ll end up behind bars? That would be utterly humiliating for him."

Amelia Sutton agreed wholeheartedly. "Exactly. If someone’s asking for trouble, they shouldn’t be allowed to drag down their husband’s family. Manager Zimmerman, you must be our witness when the time comes."

"Rest assured, Miss Sutton. I’d be happy to help the two of you save a future victim."

As she listened to them taunt Eva Monroe, Eliza Sutton’s expression grew colder and colder, her eyes turning as sharp and cold as ice.

"You’re right. Innis is not a place just anyone can enter. And Innis’s designs are certainly not meant for any random riffraff. From this day forward, Amelia Sutton and Chloe White are blacklisted from Innis. You are permanently banned."

"What is she talking about? Blacklisted from Innis, permanently banned?" Chloe White burst out laughing. "That might be the most ridiculous joke I’ve heard all year."

Amelia Sutton tugged on Chloe White. "Maybe it’s not a joke. Maybe it’s a new skill Eliza Sutton picked up in prison—bluffing... Pfft..."

With that, she burst into loud laughter.

’I had no idea Eliza was such a good bluffer.’ But as her best friend, she had to back her up. Eva Monroe lifted her chin. "If you’re scared, you should apologize now."

"Oh, we’re so scared. We’re terrified," Chloe White sneered. "So tell me, when exactly are you going to have us thrown out and blacklisted?"

"Very soon. I’ve already made the call," Eliza Sutton said, casually waving her phone.

"She’s getting better and better at acting," Amelia Sutton said, completely exasperated. She turned to Manager Zimmerman. "What are you still waiting for? Do you expect us to share the same space with this freak? Because if you do, we’re leaving."

Manager Zimmerman instantly grew anxious. His tone toward Eliza Sutton became hostile. "Miss, how much longer are you going to hang around our store? Surely you don’t expect me to throw you out myself!"

"Who is being thrown out?"

Just then, an authoritative voice called out, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps entering the store.

The man in the lead was middle-aged and impeccably dressed in a suit. He carried an imposing air and was followed by an assistant and security guards, presenting a powerful entourage.

Upon seeing him, Manager Zimmerman scrambled forward, bowing slightly with a fawning smile. "General Manager Reynolds, what brings you here?"

The man was the general manager of Innis, a powerful figure whom Manager Zimmerman could normally only admire from a distance.

"Miss Sutton." Saul Reynolds walked over to Eliza Sutton and bowed respectfully. "It is a true honor to meet you today."

Eliza Sutton gave a slight nod. "Take care of the problem," she said coolly.

"Yes, ma’am," Saul Reynolds replied instantly. He waved a hand at the security guards behind him. "Clear the room. Escort all irrelevant parties out."

Upon hearing the order, the security guards immediately stepped in front of Amelia Sutton and Chloe White. "Please leave."

The color drained from Amelia Sutton’s face. Chloe White shrieked at the top of her lungs, "I’m the eldest daughter of the White Family! I’m a valued VIP client of Innis! How dare you try to throw me out? Aren’t you afraid I’ll file a complaint?"

Chloe White’s face was a mask of arrogance. Her status as a daughter of the White Family had always been her greatest source of pride.

"Be my guest. Right now, both of you must leave. As for being a VIP client... not for long. Innis will be refunding the total sum of your past purchases, and you will be required to return all previously bought merchandise. Furthermore, we expect that neither of you will wear any Innis products in public from now on. If you do, our legal team will most certainly be in touch." Saul Reynolds’s tone was firm.

The color drained from both Chloe White’s and Amelia Sutton’s faces.

They looked like they wanted to say something more, but the security guards gave them no opportunity, forcibly removing them from the store.

This mall was enormous, always bustling with people even on a weekday. The scene of the two women being thrown out was witnessed by quite a few shoppers, and the news spread like wildfire.

It was an absolute humiliation.

Amelia Sutton and Chloe White exchanged a round of bitter accusations before covering their faces and scurrying away.

「Inside the store.」

Manager Zimmerman looked at Saul Reynolds, a sense of unease creeping over him. "General Manager Reynolds, that Eliza Sutton is a convict. Are you sure you didn’t kick out the wrong people?"

"Shut your mouth! Now get out!"

"G-go... where?"

"Home! You’re fired!"

Only after dealing with that piece of business did Saul Reynolds return to Eliza Sutton’s side. "Miss Sutton, I deeply apologize for your unpleasant experience."

Eva Monroe walked out, laden with shopping bags, her expression one of utter bewilderment. "Isla Sutton, what in the world is going on? Why is that general manager being so courteous to us?"

Eliza Sutton said, "I’m the owner of Innis."

Eva Monroe reached out and touched Eliza Sutton’s forehead. "You don’t have a fever. Why are you talking crazy?"

"I’m not talking crazy. It’s the truth."

"Alright, alright, I believe you. You’re the owner of Innis, and I’m Innis herself. We sisters are an unstoppable team."

Eliza Sutton was speechless.

’So she clearly didn’t believe me.’

Suddenly, Eva Monroe’s phone rang.

It was the family butler.

"Miss, please hurry home! Your mother brought the young master back, and now that woman has shown up at our door raising hell!"

"What young master? What woman?"

The butler stammered, "Just... Miss, please hurry home!"

Worried, Eva Monroe couldn’t be bothered to shop any longer. She said a quick goodbye to Eliza Sutton and left in a hurry.

Eliza Sutton also headed back to the Lockwood estate.

The moment she stepped into the living room, a small child launched himself into her arms.

Emmett Lockwood tilted his adorable little face up to her, looking pitiful. "Mama, why are you back so late? I thought you weren’t coming back for me."
