Although the twins could not be compared to official guards, they were not to be underestimated.

The twins had also fought together a lot, even back in Terran. Looks and gestures were enough for them to communicate.

The two of them sent barrages of attack to the enemy. From afar, it'd seem like they were careless and just desperate to attack, but the person on the other end of the attacks could say otherwise.

Luke's attacks were all clean and heavy. Although it lacked accuracy, it'd cause damage if not handled well. In contrast, Leo's hits were fast and sharp, hitting the enemy's weaknesses that inevitably revealed themselves as the enemy defended against his brother.

Furthermore, Leo was very smart, and he could control a few water spikes around him while he attacked with his weapon. He was hitting several spots at the same time, slowly chipping away at the man and his equipment's durability.

Luke's enemy growled as another wound found its way on him. Annoyed, his attacks become more and more hasty, fast, and strong.

The level difference was still there. When the enemy finally had had enough, he decided to risk it all in this fight.

Not caring how much mana he consumed so early on, he started using several skills in succession, pushing the twins back and even injuring them a bit.

The twins struggled and were pushed into the defense for a while.

CLACK!

Leon was pushed several meters back, helped up by an Alterran who was dealing with an enemy with his team.

Luke cursed at the man, but his eyes met with his twin's, and they simultaneously sparkled at an idea.

At this, Luke continued to defend against the enemy's barrage, gaining more and more injury along the way. The enemy did not notice that he changed directions and headed backwards towards his twin.

The enemy just thought he was being pushed back to a run. The aborigine smirked, feeling confident he was finally about to end the damned twins!

However, a few seconds later, the enemy in front of him disappeared. The momentum of his attacks was heavy and could no longer be stopped, and the ended up on another person instead.

"Ahhhh!"

The aborigine realized it was a teammate!!

Said teammate was now stabbed right at the shoulder, finally taking down the last durability of his armor. The Alterran guards smiled and ended the guy, while the twins didn't waste time and lunged at their distracted enemy.

They stabbed and sliced quickly as they could, finally taking him down.

"YAS!"

"OHYEAH!"

The two clapped their hands together proudly.

Slash!

"Good job," Ryo said, appearing next to them. An enemy fell down next to him, and judging by his position, he was about to attack Luke from the back.

"I guess twins really do have a secret language," he said. "But you're in the middle of the battlefield."

"Sorry, Sir!" They grinned, and then watched as the man waved his spear in a direction. They blinked, and saw a sharp water whip taking down a weakened enemy who was apparently trying to escape into one of the streets.

"Now… we take care of the rest of them."

A few more leaks appeared in time, however, especially with areas whose powerhouses had to be called to handle leaks elsewhere. They were still a bit outnumbered and out-leveled in the end, and the territory had more than eighteen thousand meters to guard. It was already remarkable that only a few breaches opened up after so long.

Of course, most of the leaks would be blocked quickly, but after a while, a cumulative of hundreds of enemies had managed to sneak in. Most learned to be low-key, as well, and they only popped up when their teammates appeared in the area.

So, in certain spots, it would seem like the dozen would turn to a hundred or so trespassers out-of-nowhere.

For instance, one such team was handled by Ryan's team. Ryan's blonde hair was drenched in sweat as he covered against two level 30s. He was only level 26, so he was definitely struggling.

His team was handling the other trespassers, while he was constrained to hold back the strongest enemies. Most grouped three or four to one enemy, and they were gaining momentum. If he let these two pass by him, it would heavily affect the battles going on behind.

His shield was a Class C weapon bought from the Contribution Store and had been holding on. He gritted his teeth, activating a skill.

[Fire Barrier]

Ryan's shield lit up in a fire making the two step back. Ryan gritted his teeth and pushed as hard as he could, pushing them in a direction of the nearby open space, giving a clearer view from a certain spot.

The moment they did, arrows sliced through the air, ending up at these two enemies.

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

"AAAH!!"

The enemies yelled as they were stabbed by powerful arrows no less powerful than sentries.

Level 5 sentries could not one-shot enemies past level 20, but they could still damage them enough—or at least cause damage to their defenses. Unexpectedly, the damage was more than the enemies expected!

One screamed as an arrow embedded on his skin, making him scream like a pig.

"What's going on? There's no sentry within this area?!" another one yelled, looking around again with heated eyes. "And it's too strong to be a level 5 one!!"

What they didn't know was that there were archers settled in roofs, though they could jump around them. Now that they had clearer views, they could use their portable ballista bolts to create accurate shots that could cause more damage than their sentries.

Anyway, Ryan was not one to miss an opportunity (well, except when he was too shy with his wife Gwen) and quickly lunged to attack the enemy, his fiery shield at hand.

He determined where the archer was and used it to his advantage. He would push them exposed with his shield, damaging them bit by bit with his ability until their defense equipment completely cracked.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Several strategic arrows had flown since then, and within a few minutes the two level-30 enemies were riddled with arrows—a lot of which were in their weak spots like their knees—significantly slowing them down.

Ryan then jumped towards one of the men and took out a bomb in his space.

It was the initial 'village' version, which was what most of them had in their space, and it wasn't something that could normally kill enemies of this level.

However... this could still hurt them, and this was already plenty helpful to them.

Even so, the village bomb was still a finite resource, so they had to be used wisely.

It was much riskier to make bombs in Xeno than in Terran due to the volatility of materials (and aether), after all. Using it to help take down one or two level 30s—which were part of the enemy's elites—seemed like a nice use for it.

"WHA—" the man gasped as he suddenly appeared, his shield blocking the attack from the other.

Ryan placed the bomb inside the man's mouth, punching him on the jaw to force him to swallow it.

He then rushed a few meters away, and a second later—

BOOM!

The man's mouth exploded, and—using the power created from this small explosion—Ryan lifted his fist and created one of his strongest flamethrowers.

The fire ablazed, the combined flames of the bomb and his ability surged, eating both of them whole.
