Chapter 1809: Vanessa in Warrior City (Part 1)

Speaking of spoiled women, Vanessa...she was currently in the commoner areas of Warrior City, a City far east—nearly 10,000 kilometers away from her home village.

She shivered, wrapped the blanket around herself, and stayed in her tiny, tiny, rented room to pass this time. Her teeth chattered in the cold, and her lips were pale.

Although she was in a city that was generally more prepared for disasters like these, it only meant she had higher chances of survival, but comfort was still a distant concept. The past two weeks, she was like this. Basically unmoving, passing the time while she shivered under the cold.

After she was kidnapped, she was gifted to a powerhouse past level 40. They found out she was an elementalist healer and treated her decently, as long as she did her job well enough.

However, she could not contact or serve anyone else for three years, which was the maximum duration of such an oath for her level. If she hadn’t been an elementalist, this could even be longer since her level was low.

Then he said that if she were to serve him well, as a woman, then riches and status would follow.

In a sense, Vanessa had the choice to reject this level of service and remain as a healer. However, at the time, she thought he was the Lord.

And because she was still pure at the time, she was guaranteed to be the main wife, stepping high in a City, the highest level of territory in this world.

She would be stuck in the place for three years, unable to contact her family or Garan. Her level was weak, and she was not the only water user or the only healer in the palace. A city was very different from a village, after all, and elementalists were not uncommon.

Vanessa had always been ’special’ growing up. She was the prettiest, the smartest, and the one with the highest-ranked parents. She naturally believed she deserved only the best, including the best kind of man.

When she came to this world, she held on to that tightly, causing her to not be reconciled when that woman rose higher and higher as time went on.

And Garan...still had eyes only for that woman. Even until now, she could not fathom how Garan had not even looked in her direction with a fraction of that softness he gave to that woman—not even once!

She did so much for him!

In the end, Vanessa accepted the offer. What was sleeping with an old man when she could live on top of the food chain again?

Besides, even if she had not let go of her feelings for Garan, he had slept with another woman and even had children with her. Wasn’t giving her own virginity to others just fair?

And so, for a few months, she truly did live like a queen. She even received an aether crystal as a gift, directly pushing her strength to level 25 from her original level 21.

Such a treasure, who else but the Lord could give it to her?

He gave her villas, treasures, and magic tools, while she gave him everything and more.

Fortunately, despite his age, he looked decades younger and was relatively handsome, so she did not suffer too much in that respect.

He was also a very good lover, just a bit rough and tireless due to his level. She was also very beautiful and watery, and her element had a passive of keeping her well nourished, so it took him a long time to be bored with her.

Even when she had already lost consciousness, he would continue to relentlessly plunder her, and she would not be able to move the entirety of the next day, only to be continuously plundered until he felt tired.

However, she did not know it yet at the time (and would remain unaware due to her living in the bedroom the whole time), that... he was just the temporary Lord who did not even have access to the Lord Panel.

His position was actually unstable and precarious, so loyalty directly to him was incredibly important, which was why he had such strict oaths done!

When she found out, it was already too late! The ’real’ Lord’s brother returned from the outside, using vehement forces to push them down and push them out!

Vanessa ran away before she could get captured, and she had been hiding away since then.

She wished she could go home, but she made an oath to the previous master—that useless bastard—disqualified her from even doing that!

She could not even leave the City! The monsters out there were too strong, not to mention an ice age-like disaster descended upon them!

And worse?

She looked down at her stomach, patting it. That man had continuously fed her those fertility pills, but she did not think it would work, at least not in a few years, due to the level differences.

Further, since there were so many, she did not think that it was too expensive and had high efficacy. Even if this were a city, the truly effective pills must still cost some money.

She did not know that Warrior City was Cheman’s home city, and it had the largest collection of fertility pills in the world.

She had seriously considered aborting it. It would’ve been fine if that man were still in power, but he didn’t even have his own head anymore!

Anyway, she was a water user and a healer, she did not believe she wouldn’t be able to do it safely!

However, she thought, despite everything, this child was still the true Lord’s blood. Children in this world were precious, even if they were children of a traitor. What if they decided to acknowledge it as a relative? Wouldn’t she, herself, rise in stature as well?

Not to mention, she checked her own body...realizing that it had been weakened greatly at the foundation!

She never noticed because she always used her powers to heal herself, so she did not faint as often, as per his orders.

At the time, she did not know that this habit not only healed the external damage on her body, but it also increased the efficacy of the pills!

This was on top of her physique as a healer, which also had its own passives.1

Now, she could use it more to study herself and saw how the focus of the damage was her feminine organs, and she vaguely guessed it had to do with the overexposure to those pills!

The healing apparently could not keep up with the foundational damage, and some injuries had become permanent.

She might not have any more children after this, so this was her only chance left!

But how could she safely get him or her acknowledged?

...

A/N: I might also post another FMC story on June 2026~! It’s kinda alien apocalypse, but with many differences from the usual tropes. It’ll also be a dual regression but again, with twists xD

The interstellar one was put at the shelves again, sadly, it’s still too niche for now T_T I love my planet-building stories tho, but how many of us girlies read that stuff?!
