After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 54 - 32: The Beginning of Reclaiming the Kingdom_2
However,
"If it were you, I would make the same choice," Xi Mu earnestly spouted nonsense, gazing at the elegantly sitting redhead under the tree.
"We’re friends, right?"
"That is not the same choice at all," Yasiraqi rolled her eyes slightly, explaining to the silver-armored knight, "I am the princess of Sky City, not some remote small country."
"To me, there’s no difference," Xi Mu waved his hand nonchalantly and turned to leave the courtyard, seemingly oblivious to Yasiraqi’s surprised gaze.
Compared to Iris Flower Kingdom, Sky City was undoubtedly a high-level experience dungeon, truly worth a run.
If Yasiraqi really fell into hard times, he indeed would be willing to help.
"Does this guy even know what he’s talking about?" Yasiraqi shook her head, helpless as to why this man could speak such ambiguous words with such seriousness.
But she felt that Ahtal’s willingness to help her might just be because they were friends, not based on ambiguous feelings.
Despite this, her mood still improved a bit.
...
...
The next day.
Early morning.
Siegfried scratched his head in distress, looking at Ahtal who had come to bid him farewell, and asked, "Are you sure you want to leave now?"
"Yes," Xi Mu nodded, then he saw Siegfried stand up, his tall figure as if about to overshadow him.
"Since I am your mentor, it’s necessary for me to be responsible for your safety," Siegfried pointed toward the gate, "Come, let me see if you have the strength to protect yourself."
His voice was unmistakable.
"Lose, and you will continue to train in Sky City."
"Fine," Xi Mu agreed promptly, following Siegfried’s tall figure to a spacious training ground.
"Any method will do?" Siegfried grinned, his towering presence exuding an impressive aura.
His hands spread open, without any defensive posture.
"Injure me or make me take a step back, either is fine."
"..."
Xi Mu did not speak; the pressure Siegfried was giving him now, compared to their first encounter, had not lessened by much.
However, that did not mean he had no way to break through Siegfried’s defense.
His hand grazed the Hunting King’s Greatsword, and with it, black flames ignited, wrapping around the blade and bringing a terrifying sense of oppression.
Siegfried’s eyes narrowed slightly; he instinctively sensed danger, not because Xi Mu’s strength had suddenly soared to a level he dreaded.
It was the dangerous nature of the black flames swirling on the greatsword, as if it were the enemy of all life, something that any living being would feel... fear toward.
"Blessing of the Goddess of Death," he chuckled, "Let’s see if you can break through my defense."
As he finished speaking, the greatsword burning with black flames slashed down, leaving a trail from the left shoulder to the right hip, aflame with black fire.
Siegfried touched his chest, putting out the flames on his body, and outwardly he seemed unharmed.
But that was only because he had instantly healed himself with his powerful Healing Ability; his prized physical defense had indeed been breached.
Even if it was just a slight break in the skin.
"Has your strength improved a bit too quickly?" His gaze held a hint of suspicion as he looked at Ahtal; he had sparred with Ahtal back in Lionheart Castle.
At that time, Ahtal had not been this strong.
"Perhaps it’s the power of the Goddess of Death that’s formidable," Xi Mu earnestly spouted nonsense; he was using the Witch of Death’s power, which had nothing to do with the Goddess of Death.
"Is that so?" Siegfried did not mind, since any power connected to the deities was plausible, no matter how unreasonable it might be.
If Ahtal was especially favored by the deities and could borrow a great deal of the Goddess of Death’s power, then it made sense that he could breach his defenses.
"Never mind, you may leave," He patted Xi Mu’s shoulder, "But you have to wait until tomorrow; tonight, I’m going to prepare a banquet for you."
Xi Mu nodded in agreement, "Alright."
If everything goes as expected, I should be able to unlock further the quest line for transforming into a dragon tonight, and then, when I return from the Magic Kingdom, I’ll be able to obtain the magic to transform into a dragon.

A luxurious hall.
"Not quite used to it yet?" Siegfried pulled out a chair and sat down, asking Xi Mu, who was quietly drinking,
"But that’s just how the game goes. You need to either slowly adapt or become strong enough to make the rules adapt to you."
"How strong would I need to be for the rules to adapt to me?" Xi Mu raised his glass to clink with Siegfried’s,
"Is someone as strong as you strong enough?"
"Not enough." Siegfried laughed and explained to Xi Mu,
"Although I’m hailed as the dragon-slaying hero, there are still many considerations."
Having said this, he suddenly changed his tone.
"However, once you have enough strength, you can indeed do as you please. If I killed everyone present here now, it wouldn’t affect the stability of my throne."
Xi Mu took a sip of alcohol and jokingly said, "Master, you’re so strong, I’m starting to worry whether I’ll ever have the chance to kill you."
"That’s one way to look at it." Siegfried stroked his chin, put his hand on Xi Mu’s shoulder, and leaned in a little closer,
"If you graduate successfully from Hecate, I will teach you the magic to transform into a dragon."
"Would I be in danger in learning that magic?" Xi Mu asked in return, only to see the hearty man smiling with his mouth wide open.
"By that time, you would already have the ability to judge whether it’s safe to learn."
"Thank you." Xi Mu thanked him, his gaze turning toward the center of the hall where Letixia was mingling with many nobles.
Next, he would go to the Iris Flower Kingdom to obtain the Sword of Light to unlock the Ashen Route storyline, and then he could embark on a side quest in the Magic Kingdom to acquire the necessary magic artifacts.
Once ready, he could return to Sky City to kill Siegfried.
...
...
The following day.
A winged dragon flew across mountains and seas, arriving above an island, where, after circling for a few times, it landed on a hillside.
Xi Mu and Letixia both jumped down.
"What’s the plan now?" Xi Mu unsheathed the Hunting King’s Greatsword from his back, impatient to start the slaughter.
But before that, they still needed to lure out the beast.
"Understand why my sister could successfully usurp the throne." Letixia’s voice was very calm,
"Also, to contact a group of trustworthy people, otherwise, even if we retake the country, we won’t be able to stabilize it quickly."
"This would cause panic among the innocent population."
Xi Mu nodded and jokingly added, "My idea is to directly enter the Royal City; that way, the country would settle down the fastest."
Although his words were said in jest, players had already experimented and found that storming the Royal City and killing Letixia’s sister was indeed the most stable solution.
If one were to choose a battle of wits, it would lead to chaos in the country and bouts of annoyances from endless minor monsters.
For players wanting to level up, this was good news, as they could kill freely and without restraint.
"It won’t be that easy." Letixia shook her head with a faint smile, turning her eyes to the winged dragon,
"Once we have a clear understanding of the situation, we’ll notify Jed to bring the mercenaries for support. That’s already the safest course of action."
While they had been in Sky City, they had already arranged the plan: as soon as they grasped the situation in the Iris Flower Kingdom, they would immediately inform Jed to bring troops to storm the Royal City.
As for marching straight into the Royal City, that was just too risky; any unforeseen powerful foe could jeopardize Ahtal, leaving her with a lifetime of regret.
Moreover, since the plan had already been devised, there was no reason to change it arbitrarily.
"Then let’s get going." Xi Mu nodded, and he moved into the jungle with Letixia, heading for a nearby village in the hills.
Seeing this, the winged dragon opened its wings wide and shot into the sky like an arrow leaving the bow, flying towards the mainland.
The Iris Flower Kingdom was not an inland country; its territory was composed of several large islands, with a culture and economy that were quite independent.
Visitors could experience distinct landscapes and cultural practices.
