After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 619 - 249 Goddess of Life 50,000 Years Ago_2
"Teacher, I’m begging you~"
"Even if I dismiss the protection, there’s no way you can interfere." Xi Mu shook his head, only to find the Goddess of Salvation clinging tighter to his arm, her expression becoming even more pitiful, making it impossible to refuse her.
"Teacher~ If you don’t lift the protection, there won’t even be a chance to interfere." The Goddess of Salvation deliberately elongated her voice, playfully whining like a little girl.
To this, Xi Mu paused for a moment and asked, "Who taught you to act spoiled like this?"
The Goddess of Salvation hesitated briefly, then admitted honestly, "It was my sister, the Pestilence Witch, who taught me."
"Alright, I’ll lift the protection when the time comes." Xi Mu raised his hand and gently ruffled the Goddess of Salvation’s hair. "But lifting the protection might not necessarily be a good thing. For you, it could be even more dangerous, like reaching your hand directly into the sun."
The Goddess of Salvation pressed her lips tightly together. "That’s more than enough."
Seeing this, Xi Mu said no more, instead turning to chat with the Goddess of Salvation about other matters. The two sat on the steps, conversing as if they were father and daughter—or perhaps, brother and sister.
After a long while, the Goddess of Salvation departed from Hell.

Two days later. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
All the world had learned of the imminent arrival of the King of Ash. In these final moments, people made their choices. For most, the only option was a "correct death"; only a rare few chose to cross Ragnarok.
"It’s over. This is the final day of the apocalypse." The Delusional Demon stood at the city’s edge, then turned to the Density Demon and asked, "Will you choose to fight the King of Ash or opt for a correct death?"
The Density Demon clenched his fist. "Of course, I choose to fight the King of Ash. Even if I can’t win, I want to swing a punch at that man. Otherwise, it’s just..."
Before he could finish, the Delusional Demon completed his sentence:
"Too frustrating, right?"
"Exactly." The Density Demon laughed, standing alongside the Delusional Demon as they gazed at the horizon. The air temperature grew increasingly stifling, heralding the impending arrival of the King of Ash.

The end of time.
Within the Ash Kingdom.
"...It’s over." Xi Mu withdrew the Great Sword of Death, his gaze calm as he watched the God of Omniscience shatter into fragments of light and vanish. Then, he turned his attention to the past and began moving toward it, progressively burning away the timeline.
This was also felt in the past.
The Ash Fire spread suddenly across the world, consuming all things as ash in an instant. Only a scarce few survived.
The Iris Flower Kingdom.
The Volcano Alchemy Workshop.
"You’ve arrived?" The Alchemical Witch, draped in a white lab coat, crossed her legs clad in black stockings and smiled faintly at the man who appeared out of thin air. "Am I the last surviving witch?"
Xi Mu answered directly, "Obviously not."
"That’s true." The Alchemical Witch sighed, raising her pale neck with an unexpectedly serene expression. "Well then, kill me."
Though she had tirelessly tried to study nonexistent matter and indeed had developed corresponding concepts—that is, extracting otherworldly matter from the soul—time constraints had ultimately prevented her from executing the plan.
Thus, she currently held no material capable of crossing Ragnarok.
"What a pity." Xi Mu murmured as he lamented, conjuring the Great Sword of Death from thin air and preparing to end the Alchemical Witch’s life.
"What’s a pity?" The Alchemical Witch blinked, her finger lightly pressing against her red lips. "Is it a pity you couldn’t have both me and my daughter?"
Xi Mu: "..."
"Such a pity—my daughter has already descended to Hell ahead of me." The Alchemical Witch chuckled softly. "Otherwise..."
Before she could finish, the Great Sword of Death swung downward, cutting her life short immediately.
Xi Mu turned away expressionlessly, vanishing from the workshop and setting off to find the next person attempting to cross Ragnarok.
Unlike last time when the world burned entirely, this time he faced enemies dispersed across the globe. These people sought to cross Ragnarok—not by brute force, but through various other means. However, conflicts among demons and witches were frequent; even their plans were riddled with contradictions.

Lionheart Castle.
Lakefront Mansion.
An invisible barrier withheld the Ash Fire.
"Why do your eyes look a little impatient?" The Goddess of Plague, elegantly seated by the lake, gazed at Ahtal as he emerged from the void, her delicate and beautiful face showing some confusion. "Is it due to your creative impulse?"
"Perhaps." Xi Mu replied, watching as the Goddess of Plague shook her head, straightened her dress, and stood up, touching his cheek lightly.
"Why did you leave me in the mortal world?"
"Maybe because you appeared too soon." Xi Mu answered. In the high heavens, there were many goddesses, but the Goddess of Plague was a more unusual case. Her appearance had come too early, marking a significant turning point in the world’s destiny—she was impossible to forget.
"I see~" The Goddess of Plague smiled slyly, the melancholy in her eyes dissipating as she pinched Ahtal’s cheek lightly. "Back then, what kind of impression did I leave on you?"
Xi Mu pondered briefly, preparing to answer when the Goddess of Plague covered his mouth with her palm and gently kissed the back of her own hand.
"If I can see you in the new world," the Goddess of Plague said, showing Ahtal the lipstick mark on her hand, "it won’t be through a barrier like this. That will be the Savior’s reward."
"Saving the world is only worth a kiss?" Xi Mu shook his head in dissatisfaction. "When did saving the world become so cheap?"
The Goddess of Plague clasped her hands behind her back, leaning closer to Ahtal with a bright smile. "Then what reward do you think is worthy?"
