All My Superpowers Come from the Law of Causality-Chapter 155: Public Execution
Not far from the hotel where Su Xin was staying, in an office building, Zhan Shijie held his phone, listening to a call, his face growing increasingly grim.
After hearing the report on the other end, he, who always prided himself on his poise, couldn't help but curse:
"Damn it! I asked you to guard him well, even arranged over ten people for you, and what the hell are you doing? Why could someone still attack Su Xin? Why do you always notice only after the fact? Are you eating shit?"
"Do you know what consequences this might bring? Do you know what kind of outrageous things Su Xin might do if he gets angry? Do you know how much of a threat this poses to the law and order of the Celestial Kingdom?"
"Do you know how many people have been criticizing the authority of the Celestial Kingdom's law online and in various media these past few days? Just because we not only haven't captured Su Xin, but instead keep following his orders, appeasing him everywhere, don't you know how much effort those above have spent to calm public opinion?"
"Damn it, our authority and face were already completely lost, and now we've even failed to maintain our connection with Su Xin. All our previous efforts might have been in vain, do you fucking know that?"
"It's just because of you useless bunch that all our efforts have gone to waste!"
"You useless bunch, hurry up and find Su Xin, find him, console him as much as possible, and notify me immediately, understood?"
Zhan Shijie cursed and hung up the phone.
No time for venting anger, he immediately picked up the phone to report this assault incident to the President.
"...Su Xin is now missing, and the key thing is that his supernatural ability is elusive. No one knows whether he's tracking down the perpetrator or doing something else. I think we need to express our stance through action."
Zhan Shijie earnestly suggested.
An aged male voice on the other end rebuked: "How are you handling this? Once might be overlooked, but how could this happen a second time when we were prepared?"
"I'm sorry, sir. This was indeed my negligence. I didn't arrange sufficient guarding force, nor did I show enough attention to the perpetrators behind the scenes. Once this incident is handled, I am willing to accept any deserved punishment."
"Hmph! It's too late to say this now. What you need to do is find Su Xin quickly, console him, and find out the mastermind as soon as possible. If there's another mistake..."
"Wait, who are you..."
"Su...Su Xin!..."
The authoritative voice on the other end suddenly stopped, turned to surprise, then panic, followed by what seemed like the phone crashing onto the table with a violent thud.
Zhan Shijie was stunned.
From the faint sounds coming through the phone, he roughly guessed what was happening on the other side, causing his pupils to constrict, body tensing up.
He knew that this time... something earth-shattering might really happen.
...
Red Crowned Celestial Palace.
This was the supreme power center of the Celestial Kingdom, also the residence and office of the President.
Men and women in suits were shuttling back and forth in the Red Crowned Celestial Palace, each dressed as an elite, with eyes that subtly revealed an air of superiority.
And they certainly had the qualification for it.
The Celestial Kingdom is recognized as the strongest country in the world, dominating in military, economy, technology, food, energy, among others, unchallenged by anyone.
As citizens of the Celestial Kingdom, they not only enjoyed the best welfare benefits in the world but also were esteemed wherever they went globally.
A citizen of the Celestial Kingdom is virtually a recognized noble worldwide.
However, within the Celestial Kingdom, there are still class distinctions.
Ordinary people live at the bottom levels, hustling daily for survival, exploited by financial oligarchs, but all in vain throughout life.
They are the upper echelon of the Celestial Kingdom.
Possessing substantial wealth, holding power across various fields, managing different industries and societal levels' development and operation.
In their minds, they are above ninety-nine percent of the common populace worldwide.
And that day, the methodically operating Red Crowned Celestial Palace encountered an unexpected commotion.
Su Xin was dragging a dry, thin old man with sparse white hair single-handedly down the spacious, clean corridor, walking away step by step under the shocked and fearful gazes of many.
Some agents gripped their handguns, aiming at Su Xin, but dared not shoot, or even reprimand.
A suit-wearing man who seemed to be the agents' leader stepped forward and sternly stated:
"Mr. Su, please release him..."
"Get lost!"
Su Xin shouted coldly.
"Mr. Su, this is a severe crime, do you know whom you're grabbing? Your actions are a challenge to the entire world!"
The man declared righteously, pulling his gun and pointing it at Su Xin without hesitation.
"Good, not bad."
Su Xin suddenly chuckled softly.
He released his right hand, letting the frail old man who was struggling lightly fall to the ground.
But just as the others assumed Su Xin was moved by the righteous words, faces revealing joy and relief, Su Xin's figure vanished into thin air ahead.
Everyone instinctively shivered, watching as a shadow suddenly flashed before them.
"Die!"
Su Xin said calmly.
His left hand conjured a short blade, while his right hand drew a sword from its sheath, executing a throat cut on himself.
Three jets of blood spurted out.
Three individuals clutched their throats in agony, their bodies slumping slowly.
"Fire!"
The suited man shouted.
Quickly, as Su Xin performed another throat slit on himself, bullets from all directions showered upon his body like heavy rain.
Three more clutched their throats and fell.
Su Xin also died.
But in the blink of an eye, he resurrected.
And he activated the trait of the Undying Golden Body.
Amidst the hail of bullets, he walked forward, repeatedly slashing his own throat.
In less than three seconds, dozens of corpses lay in the wide corridor, with blood flowing everywhere on both the walls and the smooth floor.
The pungent smell of blood filled the entire space.
Not far away, the emaciated old man sat powerlessly on the floor, trembling uncontrollably.
Though he held a high position of power, he had never witnessed such a bloody and terrifying scene, let alone from someone who clearly held a deep hostility toward him.
His identity, status, and authority had no binding power over this young face in front of him, unable to stop him from ending his life.
His life hung at the whim of the other party.
Just then, Su Xin, having caused such carnage, turned his head slightly and glanced at him.
The emaciated old man shivered in fear, and a stream of warm liquid spread from beneath him, mingled with some unknown yellow substance.
The stench spread, momentarily overpowering the intense smell of blood.
Even someone as ruthless as Su Xin paused at this sight, hesitating.
"Damn it, this disgusting old man!"
Su Xin cursed inwardly, turned his head, and upon hearing urgent footsteps in the distance, instantly teleported to the corridor's corner.
Seeing another group of armed men rushing over from the other side of the corridor, he couldn't help but smile slightly, instantaneously appearing among them, commencing another round of slaughter.
Three seconds later,
Su Xin saw only two people left alive at the scene, stopped the killing, pointed his still-bloody knife at them, and coldly said:
"I'm giving you a chance to live. Come with me. Nod if you agree."
"We agree, we agree!"
The two dropped their guns and stood in the pool of blood, nodding repeatedly in fear.
"Follow me."
Su Xin instantly teleported back to the corridor's corner.
When the two rushed over, he pointed in the direction of the emaciated old man and said coolly:
"Take him with you and follow me."
The two hesitated at the sight of the emaciated old man, knowing that Su Xin was likely going to harm him. If they cooperated with Su Xin, they might later be considered his accomplices and face judgment from the court and the public.
That would be a serious crime.
However, they quickly thought, if they didn't cooperate with Su Xin now, never mind the severity of the crime, they'd be dead in an instant.
"Hurry up."
Su Xin ordered once more.
They cast aside their doubts, quickly navigated through the corpses and blood, rushed to the emaciated old man's side, ignored the stench, lifted his arms, and followed Su Xin out.
Su Xin nodded in satisfaction.
The four of them, moving in a line, navigated through the Red Crowned Celestial Palace for several minutes. Perhaps it was the sight of Su Xin's formidable and terrifying recklessness, no one else dared to step forward and stop them.
Until, a few minutes later, Su Xin led them to the plaza outside the Red Crowned Celestial Palace.
Apart from some fully armed staff, there were also some tourists and surrounding workers nearby, adding to the bustle.
The moment Su Xin and his companions appeared, they immediately stirred up quite a commotion.
"Holy crap! Is that Su Xin?"
"Su Xin actually came here?"
"Quick look, the person held behind him... isn't that..."
"Oh my God! Something major is happening!"
Many were stunned.
After a brief pause, some people pulled out their phones and began filming in Su Xin's direction.
The fully armed staff drew their guns, looking anxiously at Su Xin, but none dared to shoot or approach, merely surrounding him from a distance.
Seeing more and more onlookers gathering, Su Xin raised his voice:
"Hello, everyone, I am Su Xin."
"A few days ago, after my appearance, I killed some executives of the Yonghui Financial Group. Later, officials from the Celestial Kingdom and the Yonghui Financial Group arranged people to negotiate with me. I agreed to their terms and decided to let bygones be bygones."
"So, in the past few days, I restrained myself and did nothing excessive, thinking sincerely exchanging sincerity might lead to peaceful coexistence."
"But who would have thought, this was just a ruse by some, pretending courteously on the surface with seemingly genuine terms."
"But secretly, you continuously arranged people to attack me. I can forgive you once, but absolutely not the second time."
"And he..."
Su Xin suddenly pointed at the emaciated old man being held by the two and asserted:
"Is the mastermind behind the attacks."
"Today, I formally declare in front of everyone... the execution of the perpetrator."
With that, Su Xin manifested a short knife again.
"Clang!!"
He abruptly unsheathed the knife. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
The sharp blade reflected a chilling gleam in the sunlight, sending shivers through the onlookers.
The emaciated old man behind him trembled violently, pleading in a shaking, weak voice:
"P-please... It wasn't me..."
Su Xin ignored him, swiftly slashing his own throat with a knife.
