Almighty Father System-Chapter 387: Piano Goblin.

Leo came to pick up Lily and the young man took her in his arms. Miss Verse said, "Mister Cardinal, the final round of the piano competition would be held on the coming sunday. The principal has extended his invitation to you."

Leo smiled and replied, "Yes, we will be there."

Miss Verse nodded and said, "Lily has a good chance to win the first prize."

Leo shook his head as he said, "Nothing is set in stone until the judgement is out. We should be hopeful and do our best."

Lily nodded and said, "Yes, Miss Verse, Senior Warding came out like a dark horse, I still have a long way to go."

Leo nodded, he didn’t want his daughter to start flying based on these empty flattery. They got in the car, and then headed to the office. Lily asked, "Baba, why are we not heading home?"

Leo raised his brow and asked, "Do you not like going to the Cardinal Tower?"

Lily shook her head and replied, "No, I want to go home and practice. Today, in the practice room, I heard Senior Warding playing his piece with great concentration. They say that the reason of his success is diligence, I also want to practice like that to give it my best."

Leo nodded and replied, "You would be fine, we will pick up your Ma from the office, along with Julian and Elena, then we would head home."

Lily hummed as she leaned back in the seat and began to filter through the content on the tablet. Leo could tell that she was looking at the music sheet and he raised his eyebrow as he asked, "Do you want to play this song?"

Lily nodded and said, "I have been thinking, they call this person the Devil’s Violinist. I want to be the Goblin of Piano, so I was wondering if I could adjust his compositions into an arrangement that would be suitable for the piano."

Leo patted her head and replied, "It is good that you wish to grow stronger and have ambition to attempt this, but are you sure? This is the final round."

Lily hesitated and then she nodded resolutely as she said, "Baba, I am just five years old, and the other person is sixteen. Even if I fail, I would like to try and then I can try again. If it does not work then I have a long life ahead of me to perfect this piece."

Leo smiled and replied, "Don’t worry, you will be fine. There are five days in the competition final, I will personally help you with this, okay?"

Lily was shocked and then she nodded as she said, "Yes, then when I win, I will give credits to you on the stage."

Leo shook his head as he chuckled. He was not doing this for the fame and credit. He was simply moved by the guts that his eldest had displayed. She wanted to try despite failing, so she didn’t mind what the other people would say about her, but that was enough for Leo to feel proud of his daughter.

They moved to the Cardinal Tower, and Lily wanted to go upstairs to meet with her siblings, but just when they were crossing the reception lobby, Lily stopped and asked, "Baba, when did this Piano came here?"

Leo turned to look where she was pointing and he found a white Grand Piano sitting in the wide lobby. He also located a figure standing behind the Piano and he sighed, as he said, "Marian, what is going on?"

Marian Grisha walked over from behind the Piano. She was wearing flat sole smules and dressed in a loose fitting gown but she was still very fashionable and many women even stopped to look at her. She walked over and said, "Well, I am the interior designer your company hired. Or should I say, one of the designers they hired. So, the reception lobby was my task. After the finalization, many of your employees said that the main lobby looked a bit too empty so, I decided to thrown in the Grand Piano as a freebie. Now the place is well covered."

Leo nodded, and asked, "Are you doing well?"

Marian nodded with a smile on her face. The relation she had with Leo was not very amiable but he was worried about her health as she was about to give birth and that made her feel good a little, after all, they have known each other for many years.

Lily didn’t even greet her Godmother and directly walked up to the Piano. She began to play a few scale variations and chords, for warm up and then she placed her tablet on the stand and began to play a few light songs to get the fingers in flow. Leo looked at Marian and said, "If you wish to listen to her, better to sit down, this will take a bit."

Leo could tell that Lily was determined to play the song and be called the Goblin of the Piano. However, it was not that easy, and so, he had to step up and help her with the arrangement.

He looked at the sheet music and then sat down beside Lily before they both began to play and make their own annotations on the sheet music with a stylus. Leo was purely guiding Lily whenever she stumbled. The process was seamless, none of them talked, but it was impeccable.

The receptionists were star struck, they knew that Leo and Lily were talented but to think they would actually start playing the piano in the reception lobby, this was crazy. The receptionist took the liberty and directly opened the Public Announcement system, and the entire Cardinal Tower was filled with Piano Music, and it was a song that they never heard before this.

Many of the senior management were frowning, and they wanted to take an action, but when they realized that the reception staff had only done this to share the music played by the young miss with them, they actually praised them. Causing the front office crowd to laugh at them in secret.

Leo was making changes to the arrangement on the go, and Lily was following it all with ease. The motive here was not to make it more complicated, but to simplify the song enough for Lily to find it relatable. When that happens, she would be able to bring out even more from the song. She may be a child but her skills in music were reaching the level where she could project her emotion to the listeners with ease.

The two people didn’t realize that Snow had come down with Julian and Elena. Fragrance was also standing beside her with a smile on her face. She was holding her mobile to record the scene.

After a couple of hours, Lily stopped and Leo said, "Ready? This would be the final draft, after this, we will practice to refine it."

Lily nodded, she looked at her hands that looked slightly flushed. Leo took her small hands in his own hands and massaged them slightly as he said, "You have forgotten that the goal to sit before the Piano was never to chase how the other people have performed on it. The idea was to have fun. Music is one of the most pleasurable and relaxing things in the world. If you lose your calm while playing the music just now, it would eventually backfire and ruin your skills."

Lily nodded resolutely and said, "Baba, don’t worry, I will handle this well."

Leo nodded and then he watched Lily play the song. She was slow, because the aim was to be accurate, and without that, she even if she managed to play it fast with wrong notes of tempo the song would lose its purpose. The reason he advised her to remember her original goal was to make sure that she doesn’t feel bad if she makes a mistake. He wanted her to enjoy the piece that she had come up with.

Lily finished one cycle, she made fifteen mistakes. She started again, and this time she made thirteen mistakes. However, she noticed that her pace was off. She continued, but her forehead was covered with sweat. Leo took out his handkerchief and said, "Don’t worry, we have five days, you will master it."

Then he wiped her sweat and picked her up in his arms not letting her continue as it would harm her even more. He then led her upstairs, but the little girl had fallen asleep in his arms. She was really tired by the practice just now. Leo sighed as he reached Snow’s office.

Snow looked at Lily and smiled before she said, "So, she transformed Viva La Freedom piece into a Piano arrangement?"

Leo nodded and said, "Yes, she wants to be called the Goblin Of Piano."

Snow chuckled and remarked, "That’s just like her. Now, what shall we do?"

Leo shrugged and said, "Get home, we have a lot to look forward to in the morning."

Snow raised her brow, but Leo didn’t tell her anything, as they left the Cardinal Tower.
