Alpha Razor King-Chapter 105: I Need Your Help.
**Razor**
I waited in my study for Dean to bring James. What the hell would compel that bastard to confront me in person? What about Tara? The door opened, with Dean dragging James along.
The door creaked open, and Dean entered, dragging James along with him. I stood up, my expression cold and unreadable. "What the hell are you doing here, James?" I barked, watching calmly as Dean pushed him to kneel in front of me.
James looked up at me, his eyes filled with fear and regret. "I know you hate me," he began, his voice trembling. "But I’m begging you to help me."
I raised an eyebrow, folding my arms across my chest. "Help you with what?"
He shook his head sadly. "My daughter was taken by Tom’s men last night," he said quietly.
I felt a surge of anger rising within me. "And why should I care?" I snapped.
James looked up at me, desperation in his eyes. "Tara still cares about you," he said. "She was willing to sacrifice herself for you. Please, I’m begging you, save her."
I walked slowly towards him, my eyes locked on his. I bent down to his eye level."Have you forgotten what you did to my parents?" I asked in a dangerous tone.
James began to tremble slightly. "No," he whispered. "I haven’t forgotten. Every day, I regret betraying your parents for the Mafia. I’ll accept any punishment you give me, but please, save my daughter."
James nodded, accepting his fate. "I understand," he said quietly. "But please save Tara."
"Even though I want to help Tara, I can’t," I explained, frustration evident in my voice. "That bastard Tom has my man, Chris."
"Chris?" James’s eyes widened in realization.
"I guess Tara must have told you a bit about him," I replied, a hint of bitterness in my tone.
"Well, a bit," James nodded, looking hesitant. "She said he was a friend."
"Anyway," I said dismissively, "now that you know my hands are tied, you’ve walked into your own death."
James crawled up to where I was standing and held onto my legs, begging. "Alpha Razor, please save Tara. Please. I’ll die if anything happens to her."
I looked down at him, torn between my desire for revenge and my sense of duty. Tara wasn’t innocent in all of this. But she did help me save my little brother. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
I sighed, knowing what I had to do. "Fine," I said finally. "I’ll do what I can to save her. But make no mistake, James. I can never let you off for what you’ve done. You shouldn’t have come here."
"I accept it, Alpha Razor," James said, gratitude evident in his voice. "Thank you for changing your mind about Tara."
I nodded, my expression still hard. "Don’t thank me yet," I cautioned. "My decision is for Tara’s sake, not yours. You still have much to answer for."
I motioned to Dean, who stood by the door. "Lock him inside the cage until further notice," I ordered him.
Dean complied, pulling James to his feet and escorting him out of the study.
As they left, a wave of anger and frustration washed over me. First, Tom took Chris, and now he has Tara? I don’t even want to imagine what he has planned for them. But I swear, if he lays a finger on Chris, I’ll kill him myself.
I clenched my fists, my resolve hardening. Damn the elders and their stupid rules. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my family, even if it means going against their wishes.
I walked out of the study, my mind still reeling from the decision I had just made regarding Tara and James. As I headed upstairs, I took long strides through the hallway, my thoughts interrupted by a faint argument coming from Cross’s room. Curious, I approached and entered to find Cross shouting at Lisa.
"What’s going on here?" I asked, looking between them.
"Brother, I’ve been telling her to leave, but she refused," Cross explained, still glaring at her.
"Alright, calm down," I said, trying to defuse the situation.
"I don’t want to. I’m tired of seeing her face. Can’t you just chase her out of here?" Cross retorted, clearly frustrated.
"I’m sorry, Alpha Razor. I was only trying to apologize for what I did, but he just wouldn’t listen," Lisa cried, but Cross scoffed.
"I don’t care about anything you have to say. Just leave me alone!" Cross snapped, causing Lisa to cry and run out of the room, clearly hurt by his words.
"Why is she still here?" Cross asked, still agitated. "Just get her out of here already."
I raised a warning brow at him. "Who are you talking to right now? Have you suddenly grown wings, baby brother?"
He sat up on the bed, shaking his head a little. "I’m sorry, sir," he whispered.
"Weren’t you the one who begged for her life to be saved?" I reminded him.
"Yes, but that was before I knew the truth about her identity," he explained.
"Honestly, I would have had her killed if it weren’t for you. Maybe I should go on and do it since you don’t care anymore."
His eyes widened in fear, but he quickly pushed it away. "I don’t care about her anymore."
"Then it’s settled," I shrugged.
"But rather than kill her, can’t you send her away?" he suggested.
"If I do that, then she’s as good as dead, Cross. And besides, I want to be the one to kill her myself, not that bastard Tom or anyone else."
"You don’t have to kill her anymore," Cross said softly.
"I don’t take orders from you, Cross," I replied firmly.
"Please, brother, I’m sorry for suggesting such a thing," he begged.
I stiffened a laugh, pleased that I had made him change his mind. "Listen, Cross, you don’t have to forgive her, but sometimes people make mistakes, that’s all."
"Thank you, sir," he nodded, a small smile forming on his lips.
"I’m going out, and I won’t be back until tomorrow, perhaps," I announced, heading towards the door. "I need to get some help if we’re going to save Chris."
"Brother, can I please get out of bed?" Cross asked hopefully. "I swear I feel better."
After a moment of consideration, I nodded. "Alright, but remember to take it easy."
"Thank you, sir, and yes, I will," he promised.
I returned his smile before leaving his room. I needed to say goodbye to Isabella and Nathan before I headed out.
