Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 219-Wants A Quickie Before His Honeymoon
Iris:
"Those people have been nothing but horrible to you. Why would you even think about this? Just let them go, and do not intervene. Let those people out of our lives. We already have so much going on," she advised harshly.
I pouted and nodded my head innocently, as if I truly did not understand.
As Lara walked away, I shook my head in disbelief at her. I returned to my room, and the rest of the day passed in silence.
At dinner, we all came together once again. As we sat at the table, I noticed Lara smiling to herself.
"Mother, I will be heading south for the crowning tomorrow. They have invited all of you, but I think it would be better if I go alone, finish it quickly, and return," Kash broke the silence, speaking to his mother.
She had been smiling until he mentioned they would not be going with him.
"It is your crowning, and every mother wants to be there to see her son get crowned. Are you going to take this from us?" his mother complained, clearly upset.
Even Zoe looked sad. Then there was Markus. He sat quietly in his seat, looking anxious, and there was a reason for it.
Lara.
He kept glancing at her, growing more uncomfortable each time. It was obvious she was controlling him.
"It will be quick anyway. If you all come with me, it will take longer before I return, and I want to finish it fast," Kash explained in a sour tone.
Lara shrugged, stepping in without being invited.
"Actually, that is because he has planned a honeymoon trip for me. So maybe we will just leave from there. You will all be left here by yourselves. It is better if you do not go. We can have a small celebration here once we return from the honeymoon," Lara remarked.
It was clear now that Lara was in charge of their relationship.
I could not help tightening my grip on my fork.
My kids had not joined us for dinner. They refused to come out, and I gave them time to relax. I was not going to force them if they did not feel like it. They had already eaten and were in bed.
As for Kash, he surprised me. He was not even focused on his own children anymore.
Lara’s words once again brought silence to the table. After a few seconds, she spoke up again.
"I’m so sorry, Zoe. We won’t be here to see you and Markus move out."
As soon as she said that, Kash lifted his head and turned to look at his sister. It served him right. I could tell these things had not been discussed with him.
However, I was disappointed in Zoe for deciding to leave, especially after she had looked like she did not want to.
"Wait, you’re moving out with Markus?" Kash asked Zoe.
"No," Zoe snapped, shaking her head.
Her response shocked not only Lara, but Markus as well. He looked just as stunned by her decision.
I guessed Lara did not know that Zoe had changed her mind after speaking with me.
"Wait, I thought Markus asked you to move out with him," Lara quickly jumped in, looking unhappy.
"I did," Markus intervened. It seemed like he was trying more to reassure Lara that he had asked than to remind Zoe that he had.
"Yeah, he did. But then I had a conversation with the Luna Queen, and I think she’s right. My husband doesn’t have a job, and I’m not comfortable moving out yet," Zoe replied quietly, avoiding Kash’s eyes. He looked completely lost.
Everyone else seemed just as confused.
"Luna Queen?" Lara questioned. "Did you ever have a conversation with me?" she added, trying to catch Zoe in a lie.
Zoe lifted her head, then leaned back in her seat, giving her an annoyed look.
"I’m talking about the Luna Queen. The first one. Luna Queen Iris," Zoe replied, mentioning me in a respectful tone.
Her words shocked me, and Lara snapped her head toward me.
I quickly put a piece of steak into my mouth and chewed with difficulty.
"But we wanted Markus to be responsible. Now that he is trying to take responsibility, Iris wants Zoe to stay here? What is going on? I thought they didn’t get along well," Lara complained.
Her words hinted that Kash must have spoken to her about me, about his parents hating me, or about my accusations of abuse. Otherwise, why would she bring it up like that? Was he really sharing my personal matters with her?
"Wait, why would there be any hostility between them?" Kash asked suddenly.
His question proved I was thinking wrong.
Lara straightened her posture, folded her arms on the table, and stared back at him.
"I’ve seen them talk, and I also know Iris doesn’t allow her children around Zoe. So why does she want her to stay?" she countered, turning her attention toward me.
"That is her decision," Kash replied firmly. "And honestly, I’m surprised and impressed that Iris thought about my sister. So instead of questioning her intentions, I agree with her."
He turned to Markus.
"For now, you don’t have a job. You don’t even have a home here. And I’m not letting you take my sister back to your pack, where people don’t like her, especially your family."
Kash took a firm stance for his sister, leaving Lara with her mouth wide open and Zoe smiling softly.
Markus, however, looked afraid.
"Anyway, everyone finish your food and head back to your rooms. I don’t want any loud noises in the mansion tonight," Kash ordered, slamming his hand on the table. His tone was harsh and left no room for argument.
I could tell he was anxious, and part of me felt worried for him. But another part of me knew he was excited about being crowned and then leaving straight for his honeymoon. That part made me stop caring.
We finished our food, and as everyone began heading back to their rooms, I noticed Kash following behind me.
I turned around and raised my palm.
"You’re not allowed in the room," I warned.
I had barely finished speaking when he grabbed my arm without responding and dragged me toward our room. He shoved me inside and slammed the door shut behind us.
