Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 243-She Is Still Beside Him
Lara:
Ever since Kash left, I had been very anxious. He did not give me a kiss or hug me before leaving.
I was anxious for a few seconds until I spoke to myself and asked why he would do that. He had clearly told me that he wanted me and that he loved me.
There was only one answer. It was not easy for him to go back home and send the mother of his children away.
He was probably upset and feeling guilty that others would question him for being a bad father for sending his children away as well.
To be honest, I was reminded that when this happens, men usually feel a certain way toward the woman they are doing it for.
He was not being intimate with me to hide his own guilt about choosing me over his fated mate and children.
He would come around the moment he had sent her away. Once the guilt faded, he would hold me in his arms and we would be a happy couple again.
I stayed quietly at my mansion with my father. When I shared my thoughts with him, he stayed silent for a while, but then he agreed.
Then I decided it was time to go back home. He must have sent her away by now. And if he had not, I needed to be there to give him moral support.
So I packed my things, said goodbye to my father, and left.
A few hours later, my flight landed and I headed back home. Before that, while I was in the car, I called Lady Vivian to ask about Kash and how he was feeling.
It was frustrating that Zoe had completely cut contact with me, but I was partly responsible because I did not try to call her either.
I ignored her. If she was not going to call me, I would not call her. I was Kash’s wife, the alpha king’s wife, the luna queen. I deserved respect.
She had to be the one to reach out first. When she did not, I decided to call Lady Vivian instead.
"Hello, how are you?" I asked, hearing her giving orders to the maids in the kitchen.
"Oh, Lara. I’m great. How are you? And why didn’t you come back with my son?" she asked quickly, not wasting a moment.
It reassured me that I was still respected, at least by his mother, if not by his sister.
"I wanted Kash to deal with things at home first," I replied as I got into the car after the long flight to drive back to the mansion.
"Well, you should come back soon. Don’t leave your husband here by himself," she told me.
At that, I raised my eyebrow and gestured for the warrior to load my bags faster. I was curious about what she meant, but I did not want to ask her directly.
"How are things there?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
She sounded very busy. I heard rustling in the background before she spoke in a low voice. These were the words I wanted to hear.
"They’re fine. Kash woke up early with the warriors. He took Iris away," she said.
I placed my hand on my chest and smiled.
"Okay, I get it. I’ll be there in a few minutes," I replied.
I heard her gasp. "Wait, you’re here?" she asked. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Yeah, I am. I wanted to surprise you all, but since you surprised me, I’ll just come in," I answered, happily ending the call.
"Perfect," I said to myself as I got into the car to go and be the only luna queen at the mansion.
The drive felt very long, even though it was not. It felt like I had been in the car for hours. I guess it was because I was excited and anxious at the same time.
I knew that I would have to calm Kash and make him feel better and remind him that he was not a bad father.
He could not live with Iris anymore, I could tell. He was tired of her behavior, and for that reason, he had sent his children away as well.
He had also done it to please me. That made sense to me.
Once I parked in the lot, I noticed Kash’s car. I realized he had returned after leaving Iris somewhere early that morning. I stepped out with a smile and waited for the warriors to carry my bags.
Then I walked straight into the mansion and pushed the door open happily. I saw Kash sitting on the couch with Iris.
My smile began to fade when I noticed the entire family sitting in the living room, with her children clinging to Kash. They all looked at me.
They had the same shocked expression that I did.
"What’s going on here?" I asked as I walked toward them.
"Lara," Lady Vivian said as she quickly got up, wrapped her arms around me, and hugged me while the others remained seated.
Kash had a strange look on his face, almost smug. Then there was Iris. She gave me a quick glance from head to toe and turned her face away.
"What is going on here?" I asked again, hoping someone would explain why Iris was back.
Did she beg him? Did she cry in front of him? Did she threaten to take her own life if he did not bring her home? What was happening?
"What do you mean? You might want to tell us, what are you doing here?" Kash snapped. My jaw slowly dropped. Not literally, but it felt like it.
"Kash, baby, I thought you were..." I paused as I looked at Iris. Everyone was watching my face. I straightened my back and let out a small breath. I did not like Kash speaking to me like that while Iris was sitting right beside him.
"You told me you were sending Iris and your children to a faraway pack,"
The moment I said that, Iris snapped her head toward Kash as if he had not taken her away that morning. Everyone else looked shocked too, even Lady Vivian, who had told me that he took her away.
