Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 272-Arrest Him.
Iris:
Chaos had erupted in my mind. Whatever my children told me left me deeply disturbed.
As they stormed away to wave at the airplane, I turned to look at Kash.
"It makes sense," I muttered, feeling utterly defeated.
"He leaves for the woods right after he receives calls from my mother," I said as I opened the file again, pointing to the record of every time she called and he cut the line.
"I remember some of those times," I added quietly.
"He is mentioned in this file during the times I saw him sneaking out of the mansion," I continued, pointing at the timestamps.
Kash listened carefully, but I could tell he was ready to pounce on Luca at any moment. He already hated him.
This only gave him more reason to go after him, and I would not blame him for it. Luca had brought this upon himself.
"I guess it was a signal. The call was a signal," I said, stressing the call that asked him to come to the woods.
"That is where he was holding meetings with whoever came to abduct us," I explained, keeping my eyes on the file.
"That is how they knew everything," I mumbled, running my hands through my hair as realization finally dawned on me.
I remembered the last time I was in the East, when I was being forced to marry Luca. I had thought he might be a victim like me, but now everything was making sense, and it hit me hard.
It was not easy to accept that another person I had trusted had been lying to me all this time.
"We have enough evidence to fucking get him arrested," Kash stated firmly, making it clear that he was only sitting with me because he wanted me to know first before he went to arrest him.
"You’re the alpha king, Kash," I said steadily.
"I will not stop you from making the right decision," I added, letting him know that I had truly lost it.
I had lost the game of friendship with Luca. I had put too much faith in someone who had been hired to deceive me from the beginning.
After getting a thumbs up from me, Kash stood up abruptly, fixed his coat, and gestured to Walkin with two fingers.
"Bring in the warriors. We are making an arrest," Kash ordered as he strode toward the mansion, heading for the guesthouse. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
I rose and straightened my posture. My eyes landed on Walkin, who looked at me sadly because he realized I was hurt once again.
"Come on, kids. We have to go inside," I told my children, motioning with my hand.
Kash slowed his pace to let my kids walk ahead of us.
Once we entered the living room, I noticed that breakfast was being served.
"Thank goodness you guys are back. Breakfast is served," Zoe said with a smile before her attention shifted to Amy and Colin.
"Let’s get you two cleaned up. Why are you so dirty again?" she asked playfully.
They laughed with her, but when she straightened her back, she noticed the serious look on our faces.
"Zoe, please keep them inside the room with you for a while," I said firmly.
As soon as I spoke, she understood it was serious.
I noticed Lady Vivian, still seated in the same coffee chair with a magazine in her hand, lowered the magazine and stared at us.
Everyone sensed that something was wrong.
Zoe took my children into her room and locked the door behind them.
Lara and Lady Vivian exchanged glances, trying to anticipate what was coming next.
I turned to Kash and anxiously rubbed my palms together.
"I want to tell James and my father first," I uttered, making the request because I still respected James deeply. I did not want to arrest his son without telling him.
Kash gave a slight nod and let me walk to the kitchen, where James and my father were preparing breakfast for everyone.
They looked happy as I stood in the doorway, tears beginning to form in my eyes.
"Oh, Iris is here. Come help us," James called, motioning for me to join him.
"She will not cook. She stopped cooking a long time ago," my father joked, sticking his tongue out as he flipped the pancake, until his eyes landed on me again and he noticed how serious I looked.
"Look, you made her cry," James complained, gently slapping my father’s chest with the back of his hand.
The two had been best friends for a very long time. It did not even seem as if one of them was the Lycan King and the other his right-hand man.
"Father, Uncle James, I have to tell you something," I whispered, rubbing my palms so hard that my hands had started to turn red.
"What is it? Is everything okay? Are you okay?" James asked as he walked around the island to approach me.
"We have figured out who caused my mother’s men to come into the mansion and abduct us," I began, avoiding eye contact with both of them.
"Who was it?" James asked, placing his hand on my shoulder to give me support and strength.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, then opened them again and looked him straight in the eye.
"It was Luca," The moment I said that, he pulled his hand back, and we heard commotion outside.
I stepped out of their way as the two rushed outside.
After a few seconds, I followed them into the living room.
"Wait, what is going on? Why am I getting arrested?" Luca shouted as they forced his hands behind his back and secured the handcuffs.
Kash stood facing him with his jaw clenched.
"You crossed every line when you helped them come in and abduct my wife and my children," Kash declared.
As he made that statement, Luca’s head snapped toward me, and the sheer confusion and hurt on his face made me clench my fists tightly.
