Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 275-I Play Best Games
Lara:
The chaos with Iris and her family had left me, had left everyone, deeply disturbed. I had seen the anger and hatred in Lady Vivian’s eyes for Iris. Not that it was wrong. Iris deserved everything that was coming to her.
Her family was trying to create chaos, and all we were doing was trying to survive and destroy Iris and her evil family.
"Zoe," I called. I did not want to scream at her, but I could not stop myself.
"What is it?" she asked as she entered the guest house.
"Can you please stop the children from making those noises? You’re supposed to control them. Instead, you’re running around like a child with them," I complained in a harsh tone.
Zoe glared at me before turning to leave. However, she suddenly stopped and looked back at me.
"Well then, if you’re so annoyed, why don’t you go back home to your father? This place is too dangerous for you anyway."
The way she said those words with little respect made me clench my jaw.
I kept glaring at her as she walked out, and then I noticed Lady Vivian step out of her room.
"But Zoe, I was just saying you should rest," I uttered softly, low enough for only Lady Vivian to hear.
In her sight, she saw me trying to show compassion for Zoe while Zoe huffed and walked out.
"When is she going to learn that her health is more important than anything else?" i whispered.
I placed a hand on my forehead and whispered.
"Lara," Lady Vivian said my name with so much love and affection that it was a sign she believed it. She believed whatever lies I was spinning with my act.
I acted as if I were shocked to see her. I instantly raised my head and gave her a broken smile.
"When did you arrive?" I asked softly.
"Come on, Lara, you cannot do this. I know you care for everyone, but do not tire yourself," Lady Vivian said as she sat beside me on the couch and placed her hand on my shoulder.
"But I care for her. Why won’t she care for herself the way I care for her?" I pouted, curling my lips downward as if I were about to burst into tears.
"She loves children, you know that. She will be fine, but you are not supposed to stress. You are carrying alpha king’s heir. The baby needs to be born healthy, remember? You have to take your power back, and we have to work together to kick Iris out."
Lady Vivian was saying everything I wanted to hear. She was the perfect example of a bigger idiot than anyone else in the world. And I admired her for it. I would have never wanted an intelligent mother-in-law.
"You’re right, but please, please take care of Zoe," I urged.
She laughed and gently touched my cheek, giving me a look that showed how shocked she was by my sweetness.
"And what is going on with Kash, Iris, and Luca? I hope Kash takes this seriously."
As soon as I said that, I saw Lady Vivian’s eyebrow rise.
"Do not get me wrong, but I have known Kash for a very long time. He has always made the right decisions. Until this one. This was a huge threat to our safety. Imagine if those men had been in the mansion. What if they had poisoned Kash or attacked him? What if they attacked you or Zoe?" I complained as I clutched my fists and pulled them to my chest, pouting while forming big tears in my eyes.
"Oh, my sweet little angel," Lady Vivian said, cupping my face in her hands and kissing me on the forehead.
She really needed to leave my face alone. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
I had been taking care of my skin, and her dirty hands touching it caused me so much irritation.
But I smiled at her because I could not tell her how annoyed I was.
"No, I am serious. I think Kash would have never fallen for Luca’s tricks if Iris had not been in his ear, feeding him lies and making him promises. I think she is twisting him. She is attacking his strength and weakening him."
I continued, watching Lady Vivian lower her hands and zone out.
The fear on her face was exactly what I was aiming for.
"But do not worry. I will become his strength. Even if he treats me like shit, I will always stand beside him."
I leaned forward and placed my hand over hers, giving it a gentle tap to snap her out of her thoughts.
"I am so glad he has you. And that also means we need to work extra hard to make sure Kash’s eyes open," Lady Vivian said.
She was finally thinking about taking steps instead of repeating that we would get rid of Iris.
I guess she had not had any plans so far. She was just waiting for things to unfold naturally, for me to have a baby and for Kash to magically hate Iris and love the baby, love me because of the baby.
That was not going to happen.
She already had children with her. We had to do more than that.
Me getting pregnant to live here was just an excuse. It gave me a chance not to be rejected immediately, but I did not know if Kash would change his mind once the baby was born. So I needed to make sure Iris was gone and never returned before the baby arrived.
"And let us not forget that Zoe is very innocent, and somehow Iris’s attention has shifted to her," I uttered, fixing my posture.
"You see, I have noticed that Iris and Zoe did not get along, but suddenly they do. It makes me wonder if Iris has realized she needs to fool Kash’s family too."
"You see..." I paused and bit my bottom lip.
"Her family is not very nice."
The moment I said it, I watched fear crawl across Lady Vivian’s face because she knew I was not lying.
