Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 315-The Resort
Iris:
"Ma’am, this way," a warrior told me, showing me inside one of the luxurious resorts.
This resort was decided by Kash for me.
I’d been taken out the minute Kash left because an actress was going to come over to have pictures taken of her in a position that would make it look like it was me lying on the ground, beaten and covered in blood.
At the same time, I was asked to leave because a private resort has been prepared for me near the mountains.
The minute I stepped in, I noticed how big the place was.
It was also very well furnished. There were cooks, maids, everyone standing in line for my orders.
I gave them a smile and a small nod. It was very late at night, and for them to be there for my service meant a lot to me.
They were doing an incredible job. I felt guilty because they would have to go home and return early in the morning.
It was a whole hassle. So I decided to go straight to my room and rest so they could return to their rooms as well.
"Ma’am, this is your bedroom," the warrior informed me, opening the door to one of the rooms on the first floor.
It was at the very end, on the side where a beautiful waterfall was clear in view. I smiled, thinking it would have been so much better if my children and Kash were here with me.
Maybe next time.
This was a family resort that Kash had built over the years. Some of the rooms had glass flooring that showcased the water flowing underneath.
In fact, my room had half of it too. I could see fresh fish swimming by.
Kash had told me that this place was once magical ground, but over time, the magical creatures died, left, or disappeared.
He had built it in the last few years, but we had never gotten a chance to come here together.
It had a second floor with a few rooms too and a large balcony from where the entire view could be seen.
I sat on the bed, checking the mattress with my hands, then sighed as I missed my children. They must have been so worried about me. I was aware of that.
The sooner all this mess was resolved, the better it would be.
I took a shower, and by then the maids had left. Food had been served to me, warm dishes with vegetables, fresh juices, everything, even though I knew I could not eat that much.
But I guess Kash was really worried about me.
I knew he could not stay in contact with me for a few days because of what was going on.
He would have to stay with her to make her believe she was in charge of everything.
On top of that, there were other things that forced us to be very careful while handling the issue.
I stayed awake for a few minutes after showering and eating. Then I lay down and drifted into a peaceful sleep, listening to the sound of the water.
It was cute, almost comforting, if I did not have to think about my children every few seconds.
And the problem was not just that. The water made strange noises.
I did not want to sound crazy, but I swear I heard it making odd sounds throughout the night.
Thankfully, the night passed, and I chalked it up to being very tired and lonely. I mean, that could be it.
This was the first time I had slept peacefully without my children. Then again, maybe it was not.
The last time they were taken away from me, it was by force, and I had cried the whole night.
But now I had to silently endure it and wait for them to come back, to reunite with me.
A gentle knock came at the door, and a maid told me they were waiting for me outside for breakfast.
The morning was even prettier. The birds seemed to be singing. The water made beautiful sounds.
I wore a pink dress and left my room, stepping into a large living room with glass doors from where I could see outside.
But it was the person sitting at the end of the table, waiting for my arrival, who made me smile. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Luca," I said, walking toward him.
He rose from his seat and hurried over to pull out a chair for me so I could sit down. He adjusted it, then walked back to his place and sat across from me.
"How are you?" I asked while the maid began serving us food.
"Just living," he replied, making me sigh and nod.
"Listen, I’m really sorry for what I did back in the Lycan community," he continued, pouting slightly. "I was a coward and an opportunist. I thought if I was doing it for love, then it was worth it. Besides, I kept telling myself that even if I had resisted, they would have killed me. So I hope you see it that way too."
I laughed softly at him.
Honestly, I had forgiven him.
I knew what he did was wrong, but he was not entirely wrong either. He could not have done anything.
They would have killed him in a heartbeat.
Everyone had been trying to save themselves.
And besides, he had his father there. If he had refused, they would have killed his father too.
He had been planted there with a motive, used for someone else’s gain.
"And you told us the truth when you said you did not participate in anything after you came here, correct?" I asked him.
He nodded confidently.
However, there was something else he wanted to say. I could tell by the way he bit into his sandwich quickly, trying to finish it.
Once he swallowed, he looked at me as if asking whether I was ready to have the world pulled from under my feet.
"But that means somebody else did it," he whispered.
"I mean, somebody else contacted your mother and told her the ins and outs of the mansion," he added quietly.
I nodded. I had already figured that out.
Someone else had played us badly. And that same person had wanted Luca out of the way, badly enough to point fingers at him.
