Amber Sword-Chapter 45: Scene 16 Guard Team
Chapter 45: Scene 16 Guard Team
Brand turned his head, letting the bone skeleton brush past him. He almost forgot the skeleton in the Meditation Room, but now he's different from before, his hand resting on the sword hilt—
The sword gleamed, and a layer of shimmering white light surfaced on the blade of Azure Light Piercing. Half of the skeleton's body flew into the air. Brand glanced at the skeleton gradually turning to ashes; Azure Light Piercing deserved its name as a sword born from light, carrying purification effects.
A point of golden light shot into his chest—
Weapons with purification effects can double the damage against the undead. No wonder he felt no resistance when his sword passed through the skeleton, as if a hot knife cutting through butter.
Divine artifact.
At this moment, Brand had only one evaluation for this sword. Even if it was not a divine artifact, under such circumstances, it almost qualified.
But he was more concerned about Freya and Essen's safety. He immediately pushed away the collapsed skeleton and rushed outside. At this moment, his energy level 2 dexterity fully exploded; he would not be inferior even to world-class athletes from his original world—in fact, his balanced burst power would surpass them.
With the support of Azure Light Piercing and the Wind Queen's Ring, his strength, constitution, and dexterity all broke through level 2. If Brand appeared on Earth now, there would only be one explanation in the eyes of ordinary people—Superman, except he couldn't fly.
Brand followed his original path back. The winding corridors in the darkness were no obstacle to him anymore. He leaped out from the collapsed wall of the temple, his strong life force immediately drew the attention of the nearby wandering undead. Two skeletons to his left and right made clattering sounds, wobbling towards him, but what awaited them were two silver streaks of sword light.
Brand pocketed two points of experience and immediately looked towards the pasture. His pupils slightly contracted—there was obvious blazing fire in that direction, a sea of flames almost lighting up half the night sky.
In his vision, hundreds of skeletons were surrounding that direction. He understood these low-level undead would never act on their own, which meant the corpse witch behind had detected something—
"Freya, Essen!" Brand's heart sank, but as he was about to rush over, he heard a sharp, sinister voice behind him:
"There is a human there, kill him—!"
Brand turned around and saw a corpse witch at the end of the street directing six skeleton soldiers to approach him.
The corpse witch raised its bone staff—
But Brand was faster. The charge skill activated instantly, and he became a burst shadow approaching continuously. "Stop him!" The corpse witch was startled and screamed hysterically.
The leading skeleton soldier raised its sword, but it faced a cold young face. Suddenly, a thought flashed through Brand's mind, so clear it seemed to carry all the emotions of the body's original owner:
"Madara's bastards, it's your turn to suffer—"
He didn't bother with skills, directly striking the sword with the Elf Sword. A metallic clang pierced the eardrum, and the skeleton soldier's Fine Steel Longsword bent backward under the enormous force, then snapped.
Brand moved forward decisively. The skeleton soldier behind him, along with its entire skeleton and sword, split into four pieces. At this moment, there was no barrier between him and the corpse witch.
The hideous undead opened its leaky jaw in stunted shock, its dried face filled with astonishment.
"This sword is for Brand."
He spoke. The sword pierced the corpse witch's left rib, emerging from the third rib on its back. The sword blade of Azure Light Piercing glowed dimly as Brand looked into the green flames burning in its eye sockets, saying these words. He then swung the sword from front to back—
The soul fire in the corpse witch's eyes flickered, then dimmed in an instant. With a clang, its arm holding the bone staff flew away and was burned into ashes by the fire of purification.
Three golden points rose into the night sky, merging into the young man's chest.
He turned around, and two skeleton soldiers had already sandwiched him from left and right. Brand swung his sword, and one skeleton's arm immediately flew up. He twisted the sword again, and its skull rolled away. With a push, the exorcised skeleton was thrown towards its companion.
The skeleton soldier immediately swung to block, but before it completed the motion, a shining sword light sliced it in half—'whirr,' Madara's lowest-level undead soldier's metal armor rings scattered across the ground like a celestial maiden scattering flowers.
