An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 82: Rank 1
Chapter 82: Rank 1
"Your classes will begin at the start of a new week, which is two days from now. You have all the time to get used to the academy and the rules. And now, without further waste of time, your strips will show up on your strip," Sally said.
Immediately, the strips of everyone in the Hall started lighting up with numbers, showing which rank they got.
Riven barely paid attention to his own, but when his number showed, he immediately covered his strip out of panic.
He looked around to be sure no one saw. When he was certain that nobody saw, he relaxed—only for Noel to lean in close to his ear, "I saw it. Number one," he whispered.
Riven felt his heartbeat skip for a moment, but then he realized that it was Noel. He glanced at Noel’s strip and saw the number five boldly showing.
"I can’t believe my junior brother not only defeated me but also took the top spot in the academy. My pride feels hurt," Noel said.
"I wasn’t expecting to be number one at all. Maybe it was because of the amount of monsters I killed in the dungeon," Riven said.
"Hmm, that would make sense. I gathered roughly twenty thousand points myself. That’s pretty much," Noel said.
’Huh? He only got twenty thousand? I did fifty. It finally makes sense. Shit, I went overboard,’ Riven thought.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Noel asked.
"Honestly, for now, I wanna keep this shit hidden. It will drag too much attention my way," Riven said.
"Uhm, I don’t think that’s a choice in this regard. The academy will find ways to show you as their top student in order to make sure that the other students try to take your position. It won’t be easy to keep it hidden," Noel said.
"Ughhh, I’ll find a way. But for now, let’s not say anything about this," Riven said.
As he sat there, he looked around and saw the others looking at their ranks—some filled with happiness and others had anger and sadness all over their faces.
"Alright, everyone, now that you know your ranks, you already know where you fall into. You will head to your new and well-prepared dorms now.
As a class, all fifty of you will be staying inside the same dorm building, though the boys will be kept to one wing and the girls to another wing.
This is so because, as a class, you will not only be doing things individually, but also as a class, you will go against the other classes and try your best to stop them.
Because beyond personal academy points, you also have class points, and you have to keep your points high, else your class will suffer certain issues and punishments.
So staying in the same dorm building will allow all of you to know yourselves better. As for the dorm, we have Genesis, Eclipse, Spirit, Wyvern, and Vermillion Hall. Or for better understanding, we have E, D, C, B, and A Hall.
Now for those that are in class E, please stand on your feet," she said.
Fifty people got up on their feet, the majority of them consisting of commoners. A male instructor with brown hair and a slim build walked in and got on the stage.
"This is Instructor Dave. He will be in charge of the first-year Genesis Hall," she said.
"Alright, all of you follow me. The Genesis Hall is the first of its kind, so you will have no seniors. Your Hall stands alone," he said. He walked out of the building, and all fifty of them followed behind.
"Second is the D Hall, or Eclipse Hall for better," she called out, and all fifty got on their feet as well.
This time, there was an almost equal number of nobles and commoners in this class. A young male instructor walked in again. He was much shorter than the first, with jet-black hair and cold eyes.
"This is Instructor Josh. He is in charge of your dorm," she said. Josh didn’t say anything else; he walked out, and the future followed him.
"Next Hall, C," she called, and they got up. Their instructor was a woman—she was a mature, beautiful woman with ginger red hair and crystal-like eyes.
They left along with her, and there were only two halls left. The number of commoners there had dropped to less than ten of them. It was still a shocking number regardless.
"Class B," she called out, and they all got up. "Your instructor is not here at the moment. His name is Instructor Raze. He is one of the most skilled instructors we have in the academy.
You all will have to find your first-year Wyvern Hall on your own. It shouldn’t be too hard," she said, and they moved out without complaint, taking with them five of the commoners and leaving only five.
Seeing five commoners left, the remaining nobles shot them cold stares. How could there be five commoners in the elite of the elite class?
The Class A was not just nobles, but there was also one wolf boy and the elves. They had sat down with the nobles because, after all, they were even nobles from their own races, so they were accepted.
"Class A, I’m sure that you all have seen your ranks already. The fifty of you are the top of the academy, the ones that risk the first year.
Your privileges and more will be highlighted in your guidebooks.
Like every other Hall, you will be staying in the year-one Vermillion building, but the first rank has a room very distinct from the others. When you get to the building, you will understand.
’No, no, no, this will definitely show everyone that I am the rank one,’ Riven said in his mind. Why would they even do that to him right now?
He looked to his side and saw Noel smiling at him. At that moment, he felt like punching Noel.
