Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!-Chapter 287: I’ll Beat You Again and Again!
Mario held Logan’s hand, his voice shaking. "Grandpa was once a 28-star Legend. He was just one step away from becoming a Saint, but that attack left me badly injured and I dropped to 22 stars."
"For all these years, I stayed in this broken old house, thinking the Latio family was gone for good. I never thought... I never thought I’d see you again!"
Hearing this, Logan stayed silent.
His twin bones began to resonate. The Yepera bone and the Black Dragon bone both heated up.
Now everything made sense.
Logan was actually the direct heir of the Latio family, one of the thirteen Golden Families of Pinocchini.
"Child, you’ve suffered a lot over the years," Mario said, touching Logan’s face. "I thought you were dead. I never thought I’d see you again."
Logan took a deep breath and knelt on one knee. "Grandpa, I am Logan Latio. I’ve come back to visit you."
"Good! Good! Good!" Mario was so excited he nodded repeatedly. He helped Logan up. "The Latio family finally has a successor!"
Hiyua, eyes red, quietly called out: "Brother."
Logan looked at the blonde girl and smiled. "Sister."
A moment later, Mario led Logan to the backyard.
A small tomb stood quietly.
The stone read: "Walter·Latio and Josephine·Latio, died by betrayal and conspiracy."
Logan knelt in front of the tomb and touched his father’s name on the stone.
Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit him.
He saw a scene in his mind: a dry leaf fell from a branch, landing perfectly over the name [Walter].
Time seemed to slow down. He saw the leaf’s path clearly, even predicted exactly where it would land.
Half a second later, the dizziness passed.
Logan came back to his senses. The leaf had landed exactly where it was supposed to, covering the name [Walter] perfectly.
"What was that..." Logan frowned and whispered.
His twin bones began to resonate violently. The time runes on the Yepera bone and the space runes on the Black Dragon bone both lit up, as if responding to something deep in his blood.
Mario sighed beside him. "Your father sometimes had this [time illusion]. It’s a gift from the Latio bloodline. It’s a rare ability called [Seeing the Future], but no one has ever truly awakened it in a long time."
"Back when the Latio family was the strongest of the thirteen Golden Families, many of our members had this power."
"Your father Walter was also supposed to have it. But he died too early."
With that, Mario sighed and looked at the tomb.
Logan stood up, fists clenched.
He looked at the tomb of his parents and said coldly: "Father, mother, I’m sorry I came back so late—eighteen years too late."
"But don’t worry. From today on, I, Logan Latio, have come home."
"I will take back everything the Brutus family stole."
"I will find the real killers who killed you."
"The Latio family will rise again!"
Mario nodded, excited. "Good! With you here, the Latio family has hope again!"
Hiyua also clenched her fists. "Big brother, I’ll help you!"
Just as everyone was feeling strong, a loud noise came from the front yard.
"Logan! We heard you were here, we..."
The door opened, and Taliban walked in with no care, followed by Nel, Bobbi, and Sanchez, Harper, Quinn, and others.
But when they saw Logan and the people behind him—Natalia and others—Taliban stopped speaking mid-sentence.
At that moment...
Natalia, Sophia, and Lucia released their full Saint-level pressure, like three mountains crushing the yard.
Taliban immediately broke out in cold sweat. His 27-star near-Saint power was completely crushed.
Nel and Bobbi followed, and they also froze in place, their faces pale.
"Saint... Saint level?" Taliban’s voice shook. "Three of them?"
Nel stared at Natalia and the others, her mind in shock.
Logan was only a 28-star Legend when he was in the Federation.
Now, he had brought three Saint-level fighters with him?
And from their positions, it was clear they all obeyed him.
This... this was impossible.
Bobbi swallowed hard and whispered: "Nel, should we still challenge him?"
Nel laughed bitterly. "Challenge? Are you sure we’re not just going to die?"
...
Logan smiled and stood up, walking to the center of the yard. "Long time no see. You guys look like you want another fight?"
Taliban forced himself forward, stepping up.
He had lost to Logan in the Federation because of the world’s restrictions. He could only use 80% of his power then.
Now back in Pinocchini, his 27-star near-Saint power was fully restored.
"Logan, in the Federation, we were limited to 80% power. Now we’re back in Pinocchini, and we’re going to get our revenge!"
Bobbi waved her fists, her 22-star energy flowing around her body. "Right! I don’t believe you’re still that strong!"
Nel said nothing, but her eyes showed mixed feelings.
She wanted to test Logan’s strength, but she was also curious why he wasn’t restricted.
In Pinocchini, Federation people should be limited by 20% of their power.
But Logan’s energy felt even more complete than before.
She watched closely and noticed that his energy flowed smoothly, with no sign of being blocked by the world’s laws.
How was that possible?
Unless... he wasn’t really from the Federation?
Logan smiled calmly and stood with his hands behind his back. "Come on. I’ll show you what real domination is."
He signaled Natalia and the others to step back.
The three girls stopped their pressure and stepped back to watch from the corridor.
Fischl crossed her arms and said coldly: "Three against one? Are you sure?"
"Shut up!" Taliban shouted. "Logan, take this!"
Before he finished, Bobbi attacked first.
"Phase Folding!"
Her body turned into energy, switching between solid and shadow, dodging physical attacks and rushing toward Logan at super speed.
This was her secret skill, and in Pinocchini, it worked at 120% power.
Taliban followed, slamming his hands on the ground. "Gravity Trap!"
A ten-times gravity field suddenly surrounded Logan, breaking the stone floor and making it sink.
Nel used her Mirror Battle Style, splitting into twelve copies. Twelve illusions attacked from all sides, making it hard to tell which was real.
"Mirror – Twelve Duels!"
The three of them attacked together. Their power was terrifying.
Galahad watched in shock. "This... these three are at least 20 stars each!"
Hiyua grabbed her grandfather’s arm, nervous. "Your brother... he..."
"Just watch." Mario said, eyes full of excitement.
In the center of the yard, Logan stood still, facing the three of them.
Only when Taliban’s energy fist was three inches from his face did Logan finally speak. "Too weak."
Then, Logan unleashed his full 36-star pressure.
Boom!
The shockwave exploded, and Taliban’s Gravity Trap collapsed instantly.
Nel’s twelve illusions suddenly stopped. It was like an invisible hand had choked their throats.
Bobbi’s energy body was forced out of the air, showing her real form.
"What?" Taliban’s eyes widened.
"Dimensional Ambush!"
Logan stepped forward, and space cracks opened above his head.
He suddenly appeared above Taliban and hit him with a palm.
Boom!
Taliban flew like a cannonball toward the ground. But just as he was about to hit it, the space around him froze.
"Space Restriction!"
Logan grabbed the air with one hand, and Taliban was stuck in mid-air, his feet three feet off the ground. His face turned red, but he couldn’t move.
Bobbi tried to help, but she found her feet locked in place by space energy. Even her fingers couldn’t move.
"What... what is this power?" Bobbi screamed in fear.
Logan turned and looked at Nel.
Her twelve illusions were breaking down. Her real body was exposed, and her face was pale.
Logan just looked at her.
That look was full of deadly intent.
Nel’s mind was pulled into a vision.
She saw Logan standing in a pool of blood, with Taliban and Bobbi’s bodies under his feet. He was looking at her coldly.
She tried to scream, but her throat was squeezed by an invisible hand. The feeling of choking was real and terrifying.
"No... no!" Nel let out a scream, fell to her knees, and trembled all over. Her eyes went blank.
In the real world, only one second had passed.
Logan looked away. Nel was free from the vision, but she was covered in sweat and looked at Logan with fear in her eyes.
Taliban was stuck in the air. Bobbi was frozen. Nel was on her knees.
Three moves.
Three people.
Less than three seconds. A complete loss.
"This..." Sanchez, Harper, and Quinn were shocked.
They knew Logan was strong, but not this strong.
In Pinocchini, three of them working together, and they got beaten in seconds?
Logan let go of his power. Taliban fell from the air and landed on the ground in a mess.
He got up, his face full of disbelief. "How... how are you so strong? In the Federation you were 28 stars, now you’re 36. Did you...?"
Logan was about to answer when Hiyua came from the back with some tea.
She saw Nel and the others and happily said: "Brother, are these your friends? I made some tea."
That word: "brother," was like a thunderclap.
Nel, Bobbi, and Taliban all turned to look at Hiyua, then at Logan.
"Brother?" Nel asked, her voice shaking. "Logan, you’re...?"
Mario came out of the house and proudly announced: "Logan Latio, my nephew, son of Walter, the true heir of the 13th District, and a bloodline of the Golden Families!"
"Golden Families?" Bobbi’s eyes widened.
"Latio?" Taliban gasped.
The thirteen Golden Families of Pinocchini each had special bloodline powers and were completely free from world restrictions.
