Animal Tamer's Dominion-Chapter 28: Evolution

Kenji was shocked completely by Shreya's explanation. He couldn't believe that the same Phoenix that had saved him from the clutches of death, was now his system, a glorious entity that would let him strive to the top like the MCs' in Novels.

" Shreya, since you're now technically my system, then how are we going to do this? Am I going to start leveling up from my E rank to S rank, am I going to be able to tame beasts like dragons?! And the best of it all: will I get to the same level as Yuji and the others?!" Kenji said, excitement overflowing through his mind, as he thought of the million possiblities to his new found system.

Seeing Kenji smiling like a fool as he thought through exciting adventures, Shreya smiled mischievously at him.

* If only he knew what I have in stored for him. Maybe I should tell him. Ha! Whatever, I'll let him reel in the dream for a few minutes* Shreya thought silently with a wide grin on her face.

Kenji suddenly stopped his crazy fantasy and suddenly turned serious," so now that i'm no longer an animal tamer, what class am I at now and what rank am I on, even if i'm still on "E" rank, I should still be able to incre-"

" You're still an animal tamer, and your rank isn't increasing anythime soon,"

" What?!" Kenji exclaimed, as Sherya dropped the bombshell of words on his head.

" What do you mean by i'm still an animal tamer. And as if that wasn't bad enough, you say I won't be able to increase my rank ever again? What's the meaning of that?!" Kenji said in both a confused and despairing manner. He felt like his heart had just sunken to the depths of his stomach.

" No! That's not what I mean," Shreya said, her words contradicting her former words.

" Stop speaking in tongues and start speaking normally! Explain what you mean," he said, a bit exasperated and annoyed by her contradicting words.

" I'm sorry but what I'm trying to say is, just like I told you before: you're an animal tamer, not a domestic tamer. What I meant back then was; you tame animals, and the definition of animals is something you've never seem to comprehend, and so this is my function. To make you comprehend your true purpose," Shreya said in a profound voice that made Kenji subconsciously sit down and listen quietly.

" You see Kenji, an animal is a general word for living creatures. Creatures that breathe air and are alive naturally. Beasts, like Phoenixs and Dragons are still animals in one way or the other, we only call them beasts due to their separate ferocity. And that's the use of beast tamers, to tame beasts with a particular level of ferocity. But creatures like dungeon lerions and and supernaturals, cannot be tamed by beast tamers, due to the fact that they either have a completely different level of ferocity or mana cell structure, and so cannot be tamed by beast tamers due to them not being beasts, but monsters,"

" But eventually, monsters still breathe in air and have physical properties, making them animals in one complicated way or the other. Every single living creature is still under the web of an animal, and that's where animal tamer's come in,"

Kenji nodded calmly to her explanation, but deep inside, he was getting really excited.

* I think I know where this is all going..* he thought, with excitement racing through his mind.

" Every single animal tamer is like a catapillar that hasn't yet evolved into a butterfly. You need to cross some certain conditions to reach your peak. What you need Kenji: Is Evolution!"

" You need to evolve from an a regular domestic tamer, to a beast tamer, from a beast tamer to a monster tamer, from there, to infinity. Right now, you can only tame domestic animals, but that's because you haven't gone through your first evolution,"

" So then what's the requirement to go through my first evolution?" Kenji asked, curious as to what to do next. This was his time, it was his time to be something more than a worthless manipulated loser. It was time for him to become a whole new entity.

" Well, you've already gone through the first requirement; dying and rebirthing," Shreya said, emphasizing on earlier today, when Kenji had died.

" Dying and rebirthing? No wonder no animal tamer has gone past the level of a domestic tamer, it's because they have to die first and still come back alive! I mean who in this dang world except someone as lucky as Kenji could die and come back to life?!" Kenji exclaimed, with a look of suprise evolving onto his face.

" Precisely! That's the reason no other animal tamer has ever been anything more than just a regular domestic tamer. Because he hasn't gone through Nirvana!" Shreya said with a wide smile.

" So how do I do this? How do I begin my evolution path?" Kenji asked, as he got up from his seat excitedly.

" Well, there's only one way; stab yourself with a beast core!"

" What?!" Kenji exclaimed in shock as he heard her words. Did she just say he had to stab himself with a beast core? Does she want to kill me again?!

" Yes, you have to stab yourself, and with a beast core, it's the only way to remove your weak blood and replace it with a more pure bloodline through the energy released by the beast core," Shreya said, emphasizing that if he doesn't do it, he won't be able to become stronger. This, was his only option.

With a sigh, Kenji raised his finger, which his spacial ring was on and removed a beast core from it.

It was the beast core of a blood snake, perfect for stabbing a human named Kenji :-)

*Gulp*

Kenji gulped down a mouthful of saliva as pointed the tip of the beast core onto his chest," Are you sure this is the only way?" Kenji said, sweat dripping from the top of his head, as a nervous exppression grew on to his face, and his hand shook violently.

" Yes, unfortunately, this is the only way," Shreya said while shaking her head, almost as if she was sad about it.

With another intense gulp of saliva, Kenji plunged the beast core into his body!
