Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 153: Everything!
Chapter 153: Everything!
Even though he didn’t notice it, his nose had started bleeding profusely. The wooden floor of his room was covered in blood, and the hair on his head had fallen out and begun to reappear. Although it was truly a disgusting sight, his purple-black hair had become silkier, his skin smoother, but just as strong.
When he stopped moving the aura around his body slowly, the aura energy had already merged with his blood cells, meaning he had now attained the fourth level of aura.
He took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes. His eyes, which had been closed for a long time due to meditation, flashed briefly and then he became aware of the image in front of him.
He saw the Sages sitting on chairs in front of him, but without even greeting them, he stood up and went to take a shower.
After just thirty minutes, when he emerged from the shower clean, he saw that his room had been cleaned and sat on his bed, asking, "Did something happen?"
Upon hearing these words, each of the Sages looked at one another. Cordelia stepped forward to speak, but Cassandra gently stopped her and said, "Atlas, I want you to tell me the truth... Does the name Beelzebub sound familiar to you?"
Upon hearing this name, Atlas tried his best not to show anything. In his eyes, the possibility that they were saying this name just to warn him was much greater than the possibility that they knew Atlas had come back in time.
"Yes, one of the main demons. What’s going on?" Atlas replied calmly.
As soon as he uttered these words, Cain muttered, "He’s lying." and hearing this Cassandra, meanwhile, looked at Atlas carefully and asked, "What about someone who chose to give his head to Beelzebub for others? Do you remember that person?"
Atlas swallowed hard at this question. He realised at that moment that he had nothing to hide. His eyes widened as he focused on Cassandra’s eyes, which were perhaps only a metre away from him, and asked the question that surprised all the Sages:
"How much do you know?"
Not only the Sages but every sacred being watching the scene couldn’t help but swallow hard.
"Just a tiny bit... You?" Cassandra asked with a sad expression on her face.
Atlas paused at this question. He swallowed slightly, then took a deep breath. He seemed unsure of what to say. He opened his mouth, but his jaw trembled. It was as if saying the word he wanted to say would mean taking a step into a place of no return.
But should he lean on Cassandra’s shoulder, even just once? Maybe he should say that word in front of all the Sages... Then everything and everyone could work together as if nothing had happened. Maybe they could believe in Atlas, and everything could truly move in a good direction.
Cassandra had moved closer to Atlas and, as usual, gently touched her chin, turning Atlas’s head towards her own face.
"Tell me, Atlas," Cassandra said suddenly.
Atlas remembered once again that the woman in front of her was not a liar. Perhaps she was like a sturdy tree that could always stand by his side... In his eyes, he was like the World Tree itself.
That was precisely why she managed to compose herself and then calmly uttered the word:
"Everything."
As soon as Cassandra heard those words, she could no longer hold back and tears began to stream down her face. Though Atlas grew concerned upon noticing this, Cassandra’s strong arm had already pinned him to the bed.
"Your previous life... everything that happened before you went back in time?" Cassandra couldn’t help but ask. The sadness in her eyes, the trembling of her bright red pupils, and the wrinkles on her forehead showed how worried she was.
Atlas could only shake his head in response to this question. After listening to Cassandra cry for a few seconds, he said:
"From the moment I was born to the moment I died. From the moment I opened my eyes two years ago in my room and began to grow stronger using my memories."
These words hit everyone like a blow. Nyx waited for the conversation to end to send a message, the remaining six Sages stood there unable to say anything, and Cassandra suddenly hugged Atlas tightly.
"You’ve seen a lot of battles before, Cassandra... What you’ve seen shouldn’t weigh so heavily on you," Atlas said. He was trying to calm Cassandra down.
"I am a Sage, and even before that, I was a High-Arch Vampire. I haven’t lost many people in my life, but you... How can you compare what we’ve been through?" Cassandra questioned. She was acting as if she were the same age as Atlas, not an ancient woman who had lived for over a million years.
"This..." Atlas said calmly, then added, "How did you learn?"
"From your mother and father," Cassandra replied.
Atlas, whose astonishment grew even more after hearing these words, looked at the Sages behind Cassandra with great curiosity as she hugged him, and saw Cordelia shaking her head.
"How?" Atlas asked.
Cassandra let go of Atlas with great excitement and immediately began to explain.
After nearly half an hour had passed, Cassandra looked at Atlas carefully and asked him the following question, which only added to his confusion:
"Helena... Do you still love her?"
When Atlas heard this question, he answered Cassandra without hesitation, "No." He answered so quickly that everyone who heard the word could tell that Atlas no longer had any feelings for Helena.
"I understand," Cassandra said with a smile spreading across her face, then added, "I won’t ask again... So it’s your turn now."
"My turn?" Atlas asked.
"We have plenty of time, tell me everything, Atlas," Cassandra replied.
These words would fully open the door to a grand, elaborate, yet equally sorrowful story that would span days. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
