Apocalypse Cheater-Chapter 29: Easy Hunt
Chapter 29: Easy Hunt
Standing right in front of it, Daniel gazed up at the towering behemoth before him.
The Caxaer's sheer size was staggering, its colossal form stretching skyward like an ancient monolith.
The monster's black fur seemed to absorb the ambient light, giving it an aura of darkness that contrasted sharply with its surroundings.
But what truly caught Daniel's attention was the realization that despite its imposing stature, the Caxaer was not the pinnacle of monster strength.
Some creatures were even larger, their forms reminiscent of mountains, while others possessed more potent abilities despite their smaller frames.
The very concept was mind-boggling.
The idea that a monster's power could be linked to its size seemed both arbitrary and intriguing.
It was a harsh reality that underscored the brutal hierarchy of this world.
As Daniel pondered this, he couldn't help but empathize with those who had come before him, facing these titanic entities with their lives hanging in the balance.
In a world where giants roamed, it was a wonder that anyone dared to venture beyond their sanctuaries.
The thought of being crushed underfoot by a creature of such immense proportions was enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.
Daniel couldn't help but imagine the terror that would grip a person as they faced the thunderous footsteps of a gargantuan monster.
However, he understood that not all monsters adhered to this size-based hierarchy.
Some defied expectations, their power transcending their physical dimensions.
As he observed the dual-headed Caxaer, he marvelled at the intricate patterns of its fur, the sharpness of its horns, and the intense determination in its eyes.
The air crackled with tension as the Caxaer prepared to unleash its elemental onslaught.
Fire and water, two opposing forces, converged within its twin heads, ready to be unleashed upon its adversary.
*Boom*
With an explosion of elemental fury, the Caxaer launched its attack.
A blazing torrent of fire roared forth, entwined with a torrent of surging water.
The two elements twisted and danced in a deadly waltz, hurtling toward Daniel with undeniable force.
He watched as the maelstrom of fire and water converged, each element vying for dominance in a clash of cataclysmic power.
Another reason why monsters are feared by different races is their natural trait which all of them possess and that is 'Chaos'.
The kind of Chaos that consumes all lifeforms and brings destruction.
Hence, Caxear elements factors were affected by this trait creating a purplish haze of fire that could melt anything in its way, and greenish water that corrodes all kinds of lifeforms.
This is what makes them dangerous because even Forbidden Fruit users can be affected by their Chaos since it even consumed and overwhelmed the pure abilities of the Fruit.
Thus, there's a chance that his body could be affected by Chaos and the only way to avoid this is by having strong resistance towards Chaos.
Of course, some may question the monsters that Daniel faced in Dungeon and Tower and how they never affected him at all.
Well, the keyword here is 'resistance'. If humans have a way of overcoming the effect of Chaos, then, of course, monsters do have an alternative way of making their Chaos stronger.
Which is by having a strong synergy having a higher level.
The lower their level, the weaker their Chaos Synergy will be.
Seeing the incoming attack, his fingers crackled with energy as he summoned his own power to the forefront.
Arcs of lightning crackled around him, forming a protective barrier that repelled the elements.
The attack sizzled and evaporated against the electric shield, while the attack hissed and steamed upon contact.
As the remnants of the Caxaer's attack dissipated, Daniel's eyes gleamed with determination.
It was time to unleash his own power in response.
With a flourish of his hand, he conjured brilliant beams of light that cut through the air like radiant spears.
The beams homed in on the Caxaer, their intensity growing with each passing moment.
The monster roared in defiance, its elemental defences flaring to life. But it was no match for the blinding brilliance of Daniel's light.
The beams pierced through the chaotic haze, striking the Caxaer with pinpoint accuracy.
The creature howled in agony as the light seared its fur and scorched its skin.
Yet, Daniel was far from finished.
With a surge of energy, he summoned orbs of light, each one crackling with untamed power.
He sent them hurtling toward the Caxaer, their collective brilliance illuminating the battlefield.
The orbs impacted with explosive force, creating a dazzling display of light and sound that echoed through the air.
The Caxaer staggered under the onslaught, its once-mighty form now reeling from the combined assault of lightning and light.
Daniel pressed his advantage, his movements were fluid and confident.
He danced around the monster, his attacks relentless and unyielding.
With a final surge of power, Daniel channelled his energy into a single, colossal orb of light.
The orb blazed with intensity, its brilliance rivalling the sun itself.
With a mighty throw, he launched the orb toward the Caxaer, its trajectory unerring.
The impact was cataclysmic.
The orb detonated upon contact, engulfing the Caxaer in a blinding explosion of light and energy.
The shockwave reverberated through the air, shaking the very ground beneath them.
When the light finally faded and the smoke cleared, the once-imposing monster had been reduced to a smouldering heap of charred fur and scorched earth.
Daniel stood amidst the aftermath, his chest heaving as he surveyed his handiwork. 𝑏𝘦𝘥𝑛𝘰𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝑐𝘰𝑚
The battlefield showed how strong he was because he could change the landscape with his control over elements.
He had toyed with the Caxaer, his control over lightning and light rendering the monster's efforts utterly futile.
