She quickly retrieved the Mechanical Greatsword and tossed it back to Vanessa, while simultaneously releasing her magnetic grappling hook. Vanessa caught the sword, executing a tactical switch as they stood back-to-back.

At that moment, three more red Abnormal Bodies, along with one Split-tailed Person, encircled them.

The two were intensely focused; under normal circumstances, they were confident in handling these monsters, but with nightfall approaching, the creatures’ power would dramatically increase, and they would be marked by the Dark Mark. As the head flew upward, it was pierced by a laser beam.
