Chapter 62: Chapter 62 - The man who break Heaven

Dante woke up from the fluffy bed. His entire back felt like it was messaged by angles.

Sunlight peered through the window, dancing gracefully. He opened the window and let the cozy wind enter his room, giving him fresh air to breathe in.

A soft smile formed onto his face uncontrollably. He wished Julius and Thomas could experience what he was feeling. Safety.

He washed his face in the bathroom and entered the downstairs. On the way, he met with Loris who greeted him with a wave.

She seemed to have her own thoughts in mind so Dante decided not to trouble her. He looked around and found himself sitting on the chair, waiting for breakfast like any other people beside him.

The breakfast came with a pancake and orange juice.

Dante felt himself drooling at the food. Just as he was about to bite the soft pancake, he noticed someone sitting down beside him.

He also had the same breakfast as him but he had a glass of milk for a change. He was the famous human in this tutorial, The Prodigy, Toji Tendo.

Tendo glanced at him. "Aren’t you going to pray for the food?"

"Is this some kind of rule in this place?" Dante asked.

"If this was the rule then what is your reaction?" Tendo asked back.

Dante appeared to think for a moment and smiled. "Then I would drop some points for this base in my unofficial list."

"That is rude. I am the boss in this place you know."

"Oh. I guess I should bootlick you with my tongue." Dante joked. "All hail the Prodigy. All hail..."

"Stop. Stop. I am just joking. We don’t have that kind of rule. I think it is lame to worship someone for nothing." Tendo sighed.

For the first time, Dante saw him as a human. Not the force of nature that the man was.

"How is this place? I want you to think." Tendo asked, biting down the pancake.

"Alright, I will give you my honest opinion. First, the location. It is good but there are a few things I would like to improve on." Dante stopped midway and took a bite.

"It is good for a hiding spot but what is the next goal? The escape route? There is nothing sort of like that. And the way to this place has monsters in it."

"Monster?"

"Yeah. Not very strong but their speed is something else and their concealment skill was top notch. You won’t notice the attack until they appear outside from the rock."

Tendo stopped his food and thought with a serious expression. Then, he drank the milk.

"I see. Anything else?"

"I can’t think of that for now."

Tendo nodded and parted Dante’s back. He finished the breakfast quickly. Dante had not even finished halfway yet.

Tendo stopped up and said. "After you finish your breakfast, come to my room. I would like to talk about something else."

"Can I have a teaser for that topic?" Dante joked.

Tendo’s expression darkened and he said in a serious voice. "I don’t have that. But you will be relieved to hear it."

Dante nodded and finished his breakfast after a few minutes. He stayed there playing with mana.

He stood up, feeling refreshed and went upstairs.

He was greeted by the previous old man who led him to the room.

The old man opened and gestured to him to step in. Dante cleared his throat and styled his hair.

The room was clean and smelled the fragrance of the blooming sun. It was warm and soothed his soul. His mind calmed and relaxed.

Tendo was sitting on the chair. He was cleaning his katana and polishing. He gave a glance to Dante.

"Make yourself at home."

Dante nodded and grabbed a seat to himself. He sat down and looked.

There was an unfathomable aura leaking out from Tendo. Each movement he made the world seemed to follow.

Dante instinctively used his eyes to the fullest and his concept to sense the will around him. As he suspected, the will of the world was bending toward him.

For a moment, there was peace.

"Dante, I am going on a cleaning trip. Do you want to come with me?" Tendo said, his eyes didn’t move from the sword.

"Sure." Dante agreed without giving into the thought. He then added.

"Is there any way you can send items to the rebellion?" Dante asked.

"Hmm, yes there is a way. One of my followers has the skill to warp space. What do you want to send?"

"Just mana cores."

Tendo glanced at his direction, his eyes wandered and landed on the left ring. He nodded in understanding.

"I see. You are trying to unseal that ring of yours. If so, I will give you something."

Dante was taken back by this. His ring had a passive ability to conceal itself. He tested on Thomas who has the highest sensitivity when it came to mana.

And Julius who was proficient in space and a bit of Time.

Dante pulled out the ring and asked. "You know. I have had this strange feeling from the moment I wake up. And now I am certain." He paused looking at Tendo.

"Do you know me?"

"Do I know you?" Tendo repeated the question.

Dante nodded. "You seem friendly toward me. Not even that Ashar get this kind of reaction out of you."

"Ah. That is because I hate that man. No. I loathed that thing." Tendo said with murderous intent.

As always, the world followed him. The mana in the room shook and gave an aura of dread. The pressure intensified, cracking the walls around them.

Tendo noticed and waved his hand. The things around him restored back to the regular position. The damage walls molded and returned to the original state.

"Sorry about that."

"You are a scary one." Dante said. "So do you know me?"

"Yes. I recognize you. You are the sage."

Dante wasn’t surprised by this. He knew that Tendo was the abnormal being on this world and knowing about him was not out of ordinary for that kind of man.

"Yes. Yes. I am a sage. To be honest I don’t know what the sage mean. What am I supposed to do with that grand title." He said in a heavy sigh.

"Help people. That is what the sage do, right?"

"Yeah. But I don’t have the motivation to do that."

"That is odd." Tendo said. "I am sure you will find your role in the future. For now, I need you strength."

Tendo stood up and placed his katana on his side. He walked and opened the door.

"Follow me, I will talk you about the thing you needed to hear on the way."

Dante nodded and followed behind.

On the way, Tendo met with the old man. He pointed at Dante and said.

"Hey Ron, Ask Gunio to sent mana cores to the rebellion. I want top notch cores."

Dante gave his bag to the old man.

Tendo added. "Give him that big mana core as well."

"Yes sir."

Dante looked at Tendo. "You don’t need to do that."

Tendo shook his head. " No. You need that kind of energy to unseal the ring. Otherwise, it would fail."

"Free thing come with a price." Dante said.

"Haha. Obviously."

They both left the base and arrived at the cave. It was the one he used to enter and met with the spider monster.

Tendo didn’t bring anyone to his side. He even ordered them to not follow him.

Tendo touched at the rock wall. "Do you know, before I come here, this place was nested by the spiders."

"I can imagine that."

"I have to slain the mother spider to get the base from the system." Tendo said. "It was a giant monster, bigger than everything you imagined. But I won. Despite the power difference I won the battle. I don’t know why I put this much effort for people I don’t know."

"I don’t understand myself. But I did it anyway. Risking my life, facing against the impossible monster from fairy tales. I did it alone."

"When did you battle the giant spider?"

"At the start. The moment the system teleported to this place."

Dante was frightened by the reveal. He didn’t doubt Tendo. There was no need to. But to be that strong at the start, his mind couldn’t warp around that fact.

Tendo noticed that and smiled. "Yeah, it was impossible feat. I just enter into the realm of Tier 1. I don’t know how I slain that monster."

He clenched his hand. "As my grandmother always said, I was meant to be the one who break the heaven."

Dante’s eyes picked up the spider coming out from the wall. He didn’t warn Tendo.

The wall broke down and a black silhouette flashed. But Tendo was even faster. He didn’t use his katana and slashed the silhouette with his bare hand.

The spider split into two parts and landed on his ground, purple blood forming a pool. Tendo looked down and muttered.

"Look like there is another mother in this place." He turned to Dante. "Do you want to come with me?"

Dante felt the urge to follow him. He frowned, not understanding the feeling he was having. Nevertheless, he nodded.
