Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 399: Ye Xuan’s Dream
"Don’t worry, Grandpa. All our contract beasts can turn into mimicry. You should have seen Little White, he turns the size of a cat. The others are the same.
Since the issue of contract beasts is not common knowledge and many people will also find it difficult to believe that a human being could peacefully co-exist with wild animals.
Especially those termed as dangerous wild animals, they won’t expect us to have a fighting force consisting of those animals.
We just have to get the beasts to stay in their mimicry forms." Chu Miao had already thought of this so she let her grandfather know.
"Okay then, by the way, you guys said that some of you advanced in your cultivation to the golden core realm. Who exactly advanced?" Father Chu asked.
Even though he had no memories of his previous life, after learning about cultivation for so many months, he understood the realms and what each advancement meant.
So, he wanted to understand their current strength.
"Only three of us managed to advance, but the others weren’t that far. Bunny, Ye Xuan, and I advanced to the golden core.
The others are all either in the late stage or peak stage foundation establishment. With enough spiritual energy, they would also advance soon." Chu Hao was proud of all their progress.
That ancient battlefield appearing here at this time was an excellent opportunity and it helped the humans to improve their strength, even if it was only a small number.
But this small number can now wipe out hundreds of thousands of zombies without any problems.
"That’s good. We have been recruiting new people to increase our number and we already have over four hundred people. It won’t be long before we have a thousand or more. I believe with a larger number, more people can be saved.
You guys rest first then you can start working on other things when you regain your energy." Grandpa Chu said and Chu Hao and his sister didn’t need to be told twice.
They both got up, said goodbye and went to their bedrooms.
Even though they were cultivators and their bodies wouldn’t really register the extreme changes in temperature, the heat still made them uncomfortable.
After taking a shower, they both went to bed. Although they had rested sporadically when they first entered the ancient battlefield, after that they had been either fighting, cultivating, or mining.
They hadn’t had time to rest their bodies and minds. That was the reason they were out like a light the moment their heads touched the pillow.
The other people who had come back with them were in the same situation.
While deep asleep, Ye Xuan dreamed about himself walking through the continent. This continent was definitely different from the earth they were living in now.
There were cultivators everywhere although they weren’t very strong. There were quite a number of those of the rank above the nascent soul realm.
The rank above the nascent soul was usually referred to as transformation or divine rank. This was because after once advances to this rank, they could choose to return to the appearance of their younger self or stay the way they were forever.
That is to say, their appearance stops changing after their advancement.
Also, their strength is way above the most powerful nascent soul.
However, that continent didn’t seem to have many of those of the divine rank and those who had advanced to that level were old monsters who had lived for thousands of years.
What was more, there seemed to be a restriction in that continent as those at the divine rank couldn’t advance past that no matter how much they cultivated. They could only wait for their lifespan to end and die.
In the dream, which was more like memories, he remembered that he had arrived at that continent through a space portal.
He was way more powerful than any creature on that continent but for some reason, which he assumed was the restriction in that continent, his strength was suppressed to the highest peak of divine rank.
Even though his strength was suppressed, he was still the strongest human on that continent.
However, he was not interested in fighting for power or anything, but was instead looking for something, or someone.
Even when people called him Lord respectfully and invited him to join their powers even as a guest, he was never interested.
He only agreed to stay in various places for several years or decades while investigating that part of the continent.
Once he didn’t find a trace of what he was looking for, he would move forward.
Just as he tried to concentrate to remember who he had been looking for, he woke up.
He had slept for ten hours and was well rested.
That dream was still very vivid, and he could tell that it was not a dream. It seemed that his trip to the ancient battlefield had triggered a part of him and he had started to recall something.
Even though he was frustrated that he couldn’t determine who he was looking for, he could tell that the person was very important to him.
However, since he couldn’t remember for now, he decided to leave it aside and not think so much about it. When it was the right time, he was sure that he will remember.
Chu Miao also slept for almost thirteen hours before waking up. All the fatigue and wariness were gone and she was energetic again.
After freshening up she remembered that because there had been too many people with them in the ancient battlefield, she couldn’t enter her soul ring.
Thus, she decided to go inside and check out the situation. She didn’t expect to be met with overripe fruits, vegetables, scattered animals, and all kinds of overgrown and mature crops.
Because no one had been here to take care of them, everything was a mess. Unfortunately, she couldn’t use her consciousness to harvest the food. Unlike how she could move things.
She had to bring her family and Ye Xuan in here to tidy the place up. Otherwise, things would become even more chaotic.
