Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 536: Chu Miao’s Decision
They also knew that the more people there are during a lightning tribulation, the more the tribulation multiplies.
One lightning bolt would be equivalent to many. It was not a joke.
"Of course, I am not stupid enough to do that.
Once the tribulation clouds start to gather, take everyone and leave. I will create a barrier to isolate myself from the zombies so that their attacks won’t reach me.
But once the clouds form, the zombies won’t be able to leave the tribulation area, so they will have to face the lightning tribulation with me.
I can always hide when the lightning bolts fall until all the zombies are gone and the lightning tribulation returns to normal that one person can handle then I will proceed with the remaining lightning bolts.
The most important lightning bolts in a lightning tribulation are the last ones.
The others don’t matter so much, so don’t worry and do as I say." Chu Miao explained and the others understood that she planned on using the Soul Ring to avoid the first lightning bolts and let the zombies face them.
"That’s pretty clever. Alright, you can evoke the lightning now, we are ready." Pei Ming reassured.
The others who had been pulled there didn’t understand a thing about what was being said, Liang Wei being one of them, but they didn’t ask questions and just did as they were told. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Thus, Chu Miao took out two array disks Ye Xuan had made before and placed them in front of her. She activated them and a defensive barrier appeared around her, pushing those close to her outwards.
Once she was done setting up the barrier, she started to cultivate and advance.
The others were still fighting zombies that had come in droves and nearly drowning them.
Once she started cultivating, dark clouds started forming in the sky. Clouds that felt threatening to say the least.
"The clouds are here. If we don’t leave now we won’t be able to leave. Everyone, go." Gu Fan ordered and the six Ye Xuan’s brothers each grabbed a couple of other leaders who had followed them and ran like lightning.
Even the huge number of zombies couldn’t slow them down.
Whenever they found it difficult to pass through, they would fly into the air.
They were golden core cultivators after all, flying short distances wasn’t a problem for them.
They didn’t stop until they were out of the range of the lightning tribulation clouds.
Only then did they breathe a sigh of relief.
The zombies weren’t so lucky as they were soon locked on by the tribulation clouds that seemed to have erected a barrier preventing them from moving.
Gu Fan led everyone else back into the base where they were met by the questioning look of Grandpa Chu.
"Where is my granddaughter?" He asked with a tremor in his voice when he didn’t see Chu Miao and saw the dark clouds in the distance that were still gathering.
The few young men were quiet for a while before Gu Fan spoke one word.
"Advancing."
That was all he needed to say. Grandpa Chu looked at those gathering clouds and nearly fainted.
"Why would she choose to advance in the middle of such a large crowd? Is she looking for death?" Grandpa Chu asked angrily.
He hadn’t been so angry in a long time.
"She said she will hide when the first bolts of lightning descend. To get rid of the zombies first." Jing Xian explained hurriedly to comfort the old man.
"That is still too risky. What if something goes wrong?" Grandpa Chu was a little relieved when he thought of the Soul Ring but he was still worried.
"We can’t do anything about it now. We can only hope that she will be fine." Grandpa Li, who had appeared beside his friend at some point said.
"This girl is going to be the death of me." Grandpa Chu said with a defeated sigh.
"You are the one who trained her and turned her into a responsible soldier. So, don’t complain when she does her job too well." Grandpa Li jabbed at his friend.
Grandpa Chu had explained the origin of the Chu family after they brought them to the Soul Ring and explained Chu Miao’s mission.
So, now the Li family knew about how Grandpa Chu reincarnated from a general in the ancient era and how he had trained Chu Miao from a young age to be hailed as a Little general in their era.
Now it was coming back to haunt him.
"Don’t mention it. I regret it so much now. I thought I was equipping her for the future so that she could protect herself, not use it to risk her life." Grandpa Chu complained some more.
But his anxiety had reduced.
The others just listened without understanding what Chu Miao’s training had to do with those dark clouds gathering in one direction.
However, even those who weren’t cultivators could feel the danger from those clouds.
When the first bolt of lightning descended, it was thicker than a huge bucket. Even the last bolt of lightning wasn’t supposed to be that big.
Chu Miao didn’t dare to take any risk and immediately entered the Soul Ring.
In a heartbeat, she emerged again only to see the second bolt falling.
This was the problem with the time difference between the Soul Ring and the outside world.
While she didn’t even stay in the Soul Ring for a blink of an eye, a couple of minutes had passed outside and more clouds had gathered.
Luckily, the zombies near where she had been seated had turned to ashes.
The second bolt of lightning fell and Chu Miao hid again.
She played a game of cat and mouse with the lightning until all the zombies were completely annihilated.
Then only she remained seated in the middle of black ashes that surrounded her in all directions.
Over a million zombies had been turned into ashes by the lightning tribulation.
