When she went to the pet shop, Ciyi was taken away and she had no idea who bought her and the owner of the shop refused to disclose the identity of the owner. Bai Meiyue always thought that her friend actually bought Ciyi but turned out that this pup was actually a rescue dog.

Looking at the shivering little thing, Bai Meiyue sighed and brought her to her lap. She hugged and coaxed the little pup for a long time only then did the little pup calm down and take a bite of the jerky. But with each bite, she paused and shrunk her neck before taking a peek at Bai Meiyue.

Bai Meiyue looked at the hustle and bustle for a while before turning around and heading back to her room. She didn’t want to join in the fun, even though she knew that the woman sitting next to her mother was Lei Qian’s mother; she had no thoughts about flattering Mother Lei.

Maybe she would look for something to eat in her space pocket. There was enough food stored in there and even if she took out a few bowls to eat, the food wouldn’t run out.

"Hi?" he raised his hand and smiled when he saw Bai Meiyue walking towards her room.

"What are you doing here?" Bai Meiyue asked with a raised brow.

"My mom is getting depressed after being cooped up in the house for so long," Lei Qian walked over to Bai Meiyue’s side with a flattering smile. He said to her, "She has been complaining about having nothing to do for quite some time, so I thought it was better for her to stay with your mother. If she has a friend, my mother will feel a bit at ease."

What Lei Qian didn’t tell Bai Meiyue was that he was worried that he wouldn’t be allowed to step inside the Bai family and had to pull the big guns out.
