Chapter 1238: Sabrina

At the mention of the Queen’s name, many of the residents couldn’t help but voice their admiration. She was someone truly worthy of becoming a ruler.

"Then I want to see this event personally!"

"I hope I get to see her again."

"That’s an honor... I wonder what kind of personal reward she gives."

"Ahh... Just seeing her once a month is a blessing!"

Queen Sabrina had only been on the throne for five months, yet her reign already felt like a miracle. Once, she had been nothing more than a concubine in the royal palace, overlooked and dismissed. But when a mysterious disease swept through the court, claiming the king, the queen, and even the other concubines, the kingdom seemed doomed.

Rumors spread of collapse, of civil war, of vultures circling to claim the throne.

Yet Sabrina somehow managed to survive.

No one knew how she had done it when all others perished.

After all, the information was suppressed, the truth seemed to have been buried beneath layers of secrecy.

However, just as the civil war was about to break out, the Queen handled everything...

Indeed, what mattered was what followed. Against all expectations, Sabrina performed miracles.

Under her rule, the Luminara Kingdom prospered to an unimaginable degree.

Arcanists were granted privileges never before seen. Food prices dropped, taxes were lowered, and new jobs flourished as construction projects spread across the land. Farming became easier thanks to enchanted tools distributed to villages. Crime rates plummeted as new laws and fair courts were established. Slavery was abolished outright, shocking the nobility but earning the love of the common people.

Markets thrived, cities expanded, and the aura of hope spread like wildfire.

Princes, dukes, and foreign dignitaries began to send proposals, seeking her hand in marriage.

Yet Sabrina remained unmoved. She was loyal only to her kingdom, refusing to seek partners or alliances for personal gain.

Her devotion was absolute, and her mystery only deepened her allure.

Cici, listening to the stories in taverns and squares, couldn’t help but consider writing an article about Queen Sabrina herself.

The queen’s rise was the kind of tale that could captivate readers across the continent. But she shook her head.

That could be a dangerous topic. Furthermore, her assignment was clear, she had to focus on the competition. The queen’s story could wait.

Two days passed quickly.

On the third morning, Cici and her team stood at the edge of the landing platform, watching as another airship descended.

This one bore the crest of the Ruri Kingdom.

It was smaller than the grand vessels of Solstice or Millton. Still, even if the Ruri Academy’s ship looked modest, it could not be underestimated.

"Ruri Academy," Marra whispered, raising her enchanted lens. "They’re here."

Cici scribbled notes as she had to note who comes first or late during this event.

Nonetheless, Ruri Academy was the pride of its small kingdom, and though it did not teach all twelve paths, it specialized in three. The Dark Arts, Elemental Arts, and Mystic Arts.

In just a few hours after the registration of arrival was made, information flowed quickly. All three Arcane Arts had three participants as expected... In short, they only brought 9 students.

Still, their top Dark Arts student was Ken, a boy of fifteen whose shadow spells were as impressive as those students who had studied in Vermont Academy...

Furthermore, rumors claimed he had already mastered the Veil of Madness, a Forbidden Dark Art in most kingdoms.

Their Elemental Arts prodigy was also here. Her name was Syra, a girl of fourteen who could summon flame serpents. Witnesses swore she had once called forth a storm of fire that consumed an entire training ground.

And their Mystic Arts contender was Owen, a boy with silver eyes. He was rumored to bend perception itself, weaving illusions so real that even professors struggled to break free.

Cici’s quill danced across the page as she captured every detail.

"Ruri Academy may be small," Rynel muttered, "but those three are decent contenders... I already heard about them when I was still assigned in Eustace City.

At this time, Marra snapped another photo, capturing the moment the Ruri students left the registration building...

Their uniforms were simple, but their eyes burned with determination.

The square grew louder as more airships arrived from distant kingdoms. Reporters scrambled, shouting names, trading rumors, and rushing to send updates back to their editors.

Then, a hush fell across the crowd.

Whom~

From the horizon, a massive vessel approached... its banners bearing the insignia of Vale’s Shadow Country, and beside it was the Academy’s banner.

"Marshall Academy," Cici whispered in excitement.

The Academy was definitely not late. However, she still couldn’t help but feel excited seeing their arrival.

The airship descended slowly at the dockyard, and it easily dwarfed the other airships nearby...

Students and professors lined the deck, and their silhouettes could be seen against the morning sun.

Cici smiled, her excitement barely contained.

"Marra, capture this. This is the moment."

Marra raised her enchanted lens, as she snapped the photograph.

The arrival of Vale’s Marshall Academy was not just another airship landing, it was the arrival everyone had been waiting for...

There was a lot of expectation in this Academy. Not only was it new, but it was also an Academy created by an Immortal.

It was something that no other Academy could copy!

Furthermore, the countries already knew the existence of their Immortal Dragons, Immortal Vampire, Angels, Asura, and other Celestial Beings!

Vale’s country was truly a place filled with beings that could not be offended.

Even if they want to try to bring it down, it has to be done through rumors or papers and not through combat.

Still, as soon as the Airship with a dreadful banner arrived, many residents couldn’t help but pause and try to see if they could witness the presence of an Immortal.

After all, that wasn’t something they could see every day!

In the meantime, within the airship of the Marshall Academy, Vale’s Avatar couldn’t help but glance at the Kingdom’s Castle...

His instincts were telling him that someone dangerous was hiding in that place...

However, even after using his Divine Sense and various Spells, he couldn’t find anything!

’Strange...’ Vale muttered as he turned to Issyl, his new Dark Spirit.
