Armed Train in the Apocalypse-Chapter 323 - 227: Jealousy (Part 2)
The train conductor blocked four or five hands reaching for his backside with an energy barrier, his face dark as he approached the bar counter.
Those ugly women were nothing, opposites attract, he could barely accept that.
But he had remembered those two men.
Taking a deep breath, the train conductor decided to deal with Xiaodong’s issue first before handling them.
He lightly tapped the marble countertop, "One grilled steak, two slices of bread, and a bottle of soda."
After three breaths.
The noise remained chaotic, a few young bartenders loudly discussed how large the dancer’s butt was and how thrilling it was in bed.
Su Huan felt no anger, every bar he had been to in his past life had similar scenes.
Without displaying some wealth or power, these idiots, whose brains seemed to have been chewed by dogs, wouldn’t pay attention to what you say.
Su Huan slapped the table with the back of his hand, producing a "bang" sound.
Finally, he attracted the attention of two bartenders, though under the dim lights they failed to see the bar counter had been shattered.
Impatiently looking at Su Huan, "What do you want?"
Xiaodong nervously tugged at Su Huan’s sleeve, "Um, brother, should we just leave..."
Su Huan repeated his request, and before the bartender could voice a refusal, flicked a crystal into his mouth.
The bartender coughed out the crystal, on the verge of swearing, but upon seeing it was an ordinary Pan-energy Crystal, he swiftly changed his expression and headed to the back.
Only then did Su Huan turn his gaze to his sleeve.
The latter immediately withdrew his hand, awkwardly saying, "I wanted to pull you away, didn’t expect it to work, by the way, brother, what did you just flick away?"
Su Huan glanced around; the bar’s few stools were all occupied by others.
With the bar smashed by his palm, it was uncertain when it would collapse, so he simply stood with his arms crossed at the spot.
"Pan-energy Crystal, a precious crystal, its function is..."
The valuable evolutionary information was casually revealed by Su Huan.
...
Deep within the bar.
Perhaps due to the red wine.
The woman’s cheeks bloomed a rosy hue, her red lips plump and glistening, pressing against the rim of the glass and softly reshaping.
Making Qi Zhiyuan’s heart sway, he spoke more excitedly about his experiences.
Essentially three points: how awesome the shelter was, how impressive his father was, how amazing his grandfather was.
The guards stationed outside became weary of hearing him, yet the woman remained unmoved.
Zhang Min didn’t like this guy.
Listening to him talk wasn’t even as interesting as sitting on the couch staring out the window, waiting for that train to appear. She didn’t even require the train to actually appear.
So long as there was a possibility for the train to emerge over this water, with that man standing calmly within.
It was enough for her.
Even merely fantasizing about how Su Huan stood at the forefront of the train, whether there were subordinates reporting to him, was his expression focused or indifferent... Well, certainly indifferent.
Visualizing such details alone could help her endure these boring days.
She’s uncertain when it started, but Su Huan began appearing more frequently in her mind, causing her to forget what her past self was like.
She now seemed to exist solely to chase after Su Huan’s footsteps.
Thinking too much, she even started mimicking Su Huan’s demeanor and actions.
Her patience in listening to Qi Zhiyuan’s spit-laden ramblings was to immerse in Su Huan’s feelings back then.
Now she finally understood how ignorant and uninteresting she had been.
All of a sudden, the "seed of resentment" in her heart quivered lightly, and her eyes, tinged with a hint of intoxication, instantly sobered.
Her abilities indicated the man was right in front of her.
Zhang Min reflexively raised her eyelids to look ahead.
Silhouettes of people loomed indistinctly, the dancer swayed her hips to the music, elevating a new atmosphere to its peak.
But the man’s shadow was nowhere to be seen.
An illusion?
A bitter smile involuntarily formed at the corner of Zhang Min’s lips.
The Flood Zone was so vast, how could he possibly be here, she really is...
Zhang Min’s lashes lowered, abruptly sensing something amiss.
Her ability pointed right nearby!
Moreover, in her "ability view," a solid and blazing "will" entered.
Everyone’s emotions in this room appeared to her like vegetables in a fruit basket; she could freely pick and squeeze.
But this will was like flames burning fervently, so strong she dared not reach out.
Fearful of getting scorched!
She was a Tier One Evolver!
Even the strongest from the Iron Mountain Shelter, Qi Jian Country, was merely a sturdy puppet before her.
In other words, anyone not yet a Tier One was at her mercy.
Then who on earth was the master of this flame?!
Thinking of that singular, impossible answer, Zhang Min felt her body rapidly heating up, mouth dry.
A fawn in her heart furiously thumped against her chest.
Suddenly, she stood up.
Qi Zhiyuan seeing the beauty rise, mistakenly thought his words had piqued her interest, spitting everywhere as he detailed more, feeling his soul about to sink into those gemstone-like eyes, only to discover there was no reflection of himself within.
Inquisitively turning back, he saw no oddity in the crowd behind.
The sound of high heels tapping filled his ears.
Long legs wrapped in tactical pants passed by his side, Qi Zhiyuan suddenly felt an emptiness in his heart, hurriedly following her.
...
Xiaodong looked at Su Huan speaking eloquently in front of him with admiration on his face, "Bro, how do you know so much?"
"Bragging, what else could it be."
The bartender brought a bowl containing a piece of charred steak and two slices of bread, the square bread obviously missing a corner.
The only decent thing was the cola.
Though just a 250ml small bottle, it looked far better than the bread and steak.
At least intact.
The bartender provocatively touched his mouth, clearly telling you it was he who ate it.
Su Huan observed the food in the bowl, unexpectedly chuckled, "I’m quite impressive, actually."
"Show me how impressive you are here, if you dare to brag."
Building up anger from Qi Zhiyuan’s place, the bartender had nowhere to vent it, directing it all at Su Huan.
Grasping this opportunity, it was full of sarcasm. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
After all, leaning on the shelter, no one could touch him in the bar.
To touch him meant challenging the shelter’s rules.
At that moment, the crowd stirred in neat commotion, distinctly splitting and forming an aisle.
A man and a woman walked through under the crowd’s awe-filled gazes.
Just about to eat, Xiaodong saw the man, his face immediately showing fear, standing up wanting to escape, but a big hand pressed him down on the shoulder.
Turning his head, he saw Su Huan calmly seated on the chair.
"Don’t waste food."
Xiaodong was so anxious he was near tears, "Bro, that’s Young Master Qi, he’ll kill me."
Qi Zhiyuan’s gaze fell first on Su Huan, instantly sensing a strong crisis.
When did the shelter gain a man more handsome than him?!
However, failing to detect an Evolver’s aura from him, he sighed with relief.
His gaze then landed on Xiaodong, speaking coldly, "Who let you in, were my words taken as wind by your ears?"
The bar’s music halted at this moment, lights brightly lit.
The noise stopped, cold sweat ran down Xiaodong’s forehead, his face pale, eyes opened several times, unsure of what to say.
Xiaodong’s and everyone’s reactions greatly satisfied Qi Zhiyuan, the face lost under Zhang Min was suddenly regained.
Instinctively, he snuck a glance at the woman beside him.
Only to find Zhang Min’s gaze entirely fixed on that pretty-boy with long hair.
Yes, the pretty-boy.
A useless person whose only asset was his pretty face!
Zhang Min’s attention made Qi Zhiyuan insanely jealous, spent so many days without getting her to glance once.
Today, with much effort by using red wine, barely obtained an opportunity to be close to her.
Tomorrow, he’d probably be beaten by his dad or granddad for this bottle of red wine.
After such great expense, still failed to catch the beauty’s favor.
And yet this pretty-boy just sits there and receives it.
The jealousy made him fiercely want to rush up and tear all that long hair to shreds!
