Slowly, Luo Li’s body was inexorably pulled towards the center of the formation, her agonizing screams echoing through air.

A crystalline throne materialized beneath where she had been standing, its ethereal glow casting long, shimmering shadows on the dark sky.

At the heart of the formation, Luo Li could feel her life force ebbing away, each breath shallower than the last. She had become so fragile that even the gentlest breeze could snuff out her existence.

The runic chains, almost serpentine in their movements, slithered up from the ground to bind her more tightly. These chains then connected to the obsidian stone, creating an eerie lattice of energy that pulsed with forbidden aura.

Above, the once clear sky began to churn violently as dark, thunderous clouds gathered with an almost sentient intent. Liang’s eyes narrowed, his stoic demeanor betraying a hint of concern. Though he had anticipated this moment, the sheer power and majesty of a heavenly tribulation were always a sight to behold.

The sky roared as lightning coalesced into a singular, terrifyingly potent arc. The luminous spear of electricity danced across the heavens like a celestial dragon, crackling with unbridled energy before descending towards the formation’s center with lethal precision.

Luo Li, sensing her imminent demise, cast a desperate glance at Liang, silently pleading for his intervention.

At the last possible moment, just as the lightning was about to consume her, a radiant rune flared into existence, intercepting the deadly arc.

Boom!!!

The sky was split by a cataclysmic explosion, the force of which shook the very ground. When the smoke and blinding light dissipated, both the lightning arc and the protective rune had vanished, leaving scorched remnants in their wake.

Luo Li exhaled a shaky breath of relief, feeling her fears ebb away. That had been perilously close.

The formation around her began to glow with an intense, almost blinding light, its energy crescendoing until the air itself vibrated with power. For a few breathless moments, the light grew so brilliant that it obscured everything within the formation.

Then, as abruptly as it had started, the light dimmed and eventually faded, leaving the formation dull and lifeless.

At its center stood Luo Li, her figure more radiant and exquisite than ever before.

"How was that?" Liang asked, his voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of amusement.

Luo Li’s eyes brightened, and she cast an expectant glance at the crystal throne. A wave of relief washed over her face as she exhaled deeply.

"The separation is done," Luo Li declared, her voice tinged with a hint of accomplishment. She turned to face Liang, her eyes searching his. "Now, for the other part."

With a solemn nod, Liang extracted a jade card from the depths of his space ring. Holding it with reverence, he channeled his Ethereal Will into the card, willing it to respond.

In an instant, a woman materialized before them. Her silvery hair, with whispers of gray, cascaded in gentle waves, framing her serene face. Her skin, smooth and porcelain-like, radiated a tranquil glow, enhancing her composed and gentle presence.

Her figure, both slender and statuesque, was adorned in a flowing white gown that clung to her form with grace and elegance. The fabric draped beautifully, accentuating her allure without appearing ostentatious. Around her neck lay a delicate silver necklace, its pendant emitting an ethereal shimmer, adding a touch of the otherworldly to her already breathtaking appearance.

"Lady Xue, it’s been ages since we last spoke," Liang said, his eyes locking onto the projection of Lady Xue that shimmered from the jade card.

Lady Xue’s eyes flickered with surprise as she scanned her surroundings with an instinctive and regal air. Her gaze finally found Liang, and a smile lit up her lips, warm yet enigmatic. "And here I wondered who had my communication symbol. It turns out to be you, little brother Liang."

Liang nodded, though a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. He couldn’t help but snicker inwardly, knowing he had surpassed her in power and stature, a fact that should have her addressing him as ’senior.’

"Lady Xue, I have a request that I hope your esteemed pavilion can accommodate," Liang said, his tone shifting to one of earnest seriousness.

Lady Xue inclined her head gracefully. "Little Brother Liang has done us great favors in the past. Please, ask what you will."

Liang gestured towards a figure standing silently nearby. "This is Luo Li. She is an artifact spirit. Her master was a very close friend of mine, someone I held in high regard. Unfortunately, he has passed away. I seek a safe haven for Luo Li, where she will be respected and protected."

Lady Xue’s eyes flickered slightly; she didn’t expect Liang to ask something like that. Turning her gaze to Luo Li, her eyes lit up with a subtle intrigue.

After a few breaths, she looked back at Liang and spoke, "We don’t usually accept foreign spirits, but since Little Brother Liang can vouch for her, we will make an exception."

Liang nodded in gratitude before retrieving four high-grade space stones from his space ring. With a fluid motion, he tossed them into the air. His voidforge rune materialized in the center, surrounded by a constellation of smaller runes that emerged and began to meticulously interconnect the stones. It was a delicate and precise process—one misstep could lead to the stones’ violent explosion.

As the stones aligned and connected to the rune, Liang cast a glance towards Lady Xue, who was visibly taken aback. Truthfully, she couldn’t fathom what Liang intended.

"Lady Xue, if you don’t mind, please project your exact coordinates and consciousness into this small formation," Liang requested.

"Small formation?" Lady Xue’s mouth twitched in disbelief. The complexity of the formation was well beyond her full comprehension, but nonetheless, she complied with Liang’s request. Instantly, the space stones began to spin rapidly, and in moments, a shimmering space portal took form.

Staring at the newly formed portal, Lady Xue couldn’t help but draw a deep breath. The depth of Liang’s mastery over the void far exceeded her expectations.

"Miss Luo Li, go ahead," Liang said casually, turning to her.

Luo Li’s eyes flickered with a mix of hesitation and determination before she stepped towards the portal. She cast a lingering, deep look at Liang, as if trying to memorize his presence, before stepping through.

The portal instantly dissolved, and the four space stones crumbled into fine powder.
