Ascension of The Unholy Immortal-Chapter 299: Difficulties
"Otherworldly Demon?" Primordial Runic’s expression shifted dramatically upon hearing this unsettling revelation.
"Fellow Daoist, there’s no need for such agitation," Shin Xuan remarked casually.
"If he truly is an otherworldly demon, then..." Primordial Runic’s eyes narrowed as he glanced pointedly toward a distant point. "This Domain Crossing Passage must have a hidden agenda."
Shin Xuan’s eyes flickered momentarily, but he chose to remain silent.
Noticing Shin Xuan’s reluctance to divulge further details, Primordial Runic snorted inwardly. In these treacherous times, information was more precious than any treasure.
"Since you now know the true identity of the Light Crossing Sage, what are your plans?"
"Plans?" Primordial Runic let out a derisive snort. "My plans remain unchanged. I shall venture into the Primordial Sea Realm, and I will traverse this temple. Let’s see what this otherworldly demon is truly capable of!"
Shin Xuan’s lips curled into a slight smile. "Regarding the passageway, there is no cause for concern. It’s safe; the danger lies in what comes after."

Liang surveyed the gathered cultivators near the grand gate, his face impassive. In front of him stood not just twenty esteemed experts but also a group of venerable elders.
As Liang’s discerning gaze roved over the assembly, he inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. The experts appeared to be more preoccupied with the ancient stone platform than with him.
"Younger Brother Liang, have you seen Elder Bao?" One of the elders suddenly turned toward Liang, his voice tinged with urgency.
"Elder Bao?" Liang’s brows knitted in slight confusion before he shook his head. "No, I’ve been in seclusion and only just emerged. I haven’t seen anyone else."
Elder Song’s face darkened, his eyes shifting back to the imposing gate. Then his gaze fell on Dong Tian Mu, who was engrossed in conversation with the Clan Head.
"Senior Tian Mu, Elder Bao has yet to return. Can you delay the closing of the gate?" Elder Song implored, his voice carrying an undercurrent of desperation.
The conversation between Dong Tian Mu and Dong Tian Di abruptly ceased as both turned their attention to Elder Song.
"Elder Song, it’s not as if we don’t want to, but..." Tian Di’s words trailed off. Suddenly, the gleaming golden gate vanished into thin air.
He cast a worried glance at Tian Mu, who merely shook his head and sighed heavily before disappearing into the shadows.
"It seems Elder Song is still ignorant of the situation," Dong Wan’er remarked mockingly, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
Elder Song frowned slightly but chose not to respond. Instead, he directed his gaze towards the clan head, silently awaiting an explanation.
The entire space fell silent as all eyes turned to the clan head.
Feeling the weight of everyone’s stares, Dong Tian Di offered a bitter smile. "Since things have come to this, I regret to inform you all that we have lost the connection to the Primordial Rune Secret Realm."
A chorus of gasps echoed through the hall.
Elders and experts alike displayed looks of shock and disbelief.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Elder Song asked, his voice etched with concern, "How? Did the realm relocate? Or did someone sever the connection?"
Dong Tian Di shook his head, his expression somber. "I can’t say for certain. It might be a combination of both."
"Who would dare do such a thing?" One of the elders bellowed in fury, his voice trembling with outrage. Severing their connection to the secret realm was akin to cutting a lifeline for the Dong Clan.
"It must be those thieves from the alliance," another elder sneered, his tone dripping with venom.
"Alliance?" Yuan Li snorted derisively. "If the alliance had someone capable of such a feat, we would have been obliterated long ago."
The hall fell silent once more as everyone considered Yuan Li’s words. Their eyes flickered with realization as they began to grasp the gravity and intricacies of the situation.
The ability to change the location of a secret realm with such size isn’t something, even a Chaos Resonation Realm being could do.
Liang was very surprised inwardly at the ongoing conversations , why not anyone mentioning the Primordial Runic Ancestor?
After some thought Liang decided to probe, he looked at Dong Rui who’s happening to be also staring at him.
"Congratulations, you have achieved alot in just five years."
Hearing Liang voice transmission, Dong Rui couldn’t help but smile smugly.
"It’s just natural, my current qualifications now isn’t necessary below Dong Wan’er or Zi Long."
Liang nodded and refused to comment, but inwardly he was just nonshelant to any ot this.
"What about you? You have gained alot right?" Dong Rui asked with a strange smile.
Liang shook his head," I was about to... but when the Heaven Reaching Tree disappeared my breakthrough failed, By the way do you know the reason for that? I was not consuciunses at that time."

Dong Rui eyes flickered with surprise, then she soon nodded in understanding, that’s indeed true, the slightest disturbance can cause a huge damage.
"Matter of fact brother Liang you didn’t miss anything, The tree disappeard on it’s own!"
Liang eyes flickered with surprise upon hearing this, Is she laying on him?
But soon he dismissed the idea, there’s no reason for her to do that, so he decided to ask further.
"Haven’t there been any strange phenomenon or something?"
Dong Rui shook her head," this happened with seconds none of us got the chance to see it."
Liang confusion only deepened, it seems like not any of them have recollection of the Primordial Runic Ancestor or the Heaven’s eye.
Although it could have been only Dong Rui but, the other wouldn’t have been in such confusion.
So Liang deduced that all of them doesn’t know about what happened.
That’s also make since, for an expert like Primordial Runic Ancestor, erasing everyone memories would just be like flickering his fingers.
As for why he didn’t erase his mind too? Liang has no answer to this question, he could only guess it’s realted to the old dabet, the ancestor have.
"So that means, no Primordial Rune Realm again?"
Everyone intently become dejected, especially, those who just came, matter of fact each of of them already sensed that change that happened in that realm.
"Everyone there’s no need to worry that much, I will discuss this matter with the patericah, as for Elder Bao.." Tian Di eyes flickered thoughtfully," That might not be bad for him, who knows, he might even having a great time now." With these words, Dong Tian Di disappeard.
Everyone soon dispersed.

Back in his residence, Liang welcomed Elder Hue, who has come rashly.
"Welcome back brother Liang, I hope it has been a fruitful journey."
Liang nodded then as if has rememberd something he took out a jade box and handed it to Elder Huo.
Elder Hue eyes flickered with excitement as he opened the box, a a look of application appeared on his face as he put the box away.
Elder Hue suddenly stood up and bowed
"Brother Liang, you have done our family a great favour, I won’t forget it."
Liang waved his hand dismissively," Elder Hue you don’t need to say that, Have you asked about the thing i told you about?"
Elder Hue’s eyes suddenly turned serious. "As a matter of fact, Brother Liang, this situation is quite troublesome."
Liang’s expression flickered, but he kept silent, awaiting further explanation.
Seeing no immediate response from Liang, Elder Hue felt a sense of relief wash over him as he continued, "It’s true that Elder Wang made a visit to the Heaven Fortune Domain, but this mission was issued by the Patriarch. The compass you mentioned is actually in the Patriarch’s possession now."
Liang’s face fell. Though this outcome wasn’t entirely unexpected, it still weighed heavily on him. Dealing with Dong Wang was one thing; confronting the Dong Clan Patriarch was an entirely different beast.
After a moment of contemplation, he said, "Since that’s the case, I hope Elder Hue can find out what the Patriarch intends to do with it."
Elder Hue nodded, patting his chest confidently. "Brother Liang, don’t worry. I’ve already asked some friends to investigate. I’m sure it won’t be long before we know."
Liang nodded in acknowledgment. "Since that’s everything, Elder Hue, you may go."
Elder Hue cupped his hands respectfully and left without another word, moving silently through the room.
Once alone, Liang pondered aloud, "Dong Clan Patriarch... What could he possibly want with something like the Earth Vein Compass? It holds no apparent value for runic cultivators."
Closing his eyes, Liang activated the Thousand Derivations Rune. Countless possibilities and intricate details began to surface in his mind’s eye, each thread of his acquired knowledge weaving into a complex tapestry.
Nevertheless, despite his efforts, he found no definitive clues.
After several breaths of tense concentration, he opened his eyes again, frustration etched across his features. "My knowledge and information are still too limited to deduce anything substantial."
He sighed deeply. "I’ll have to wait for Elder Hue’s report first. But, I must remember, I am now a divine expert. At least I have some leverage to play with."
