Assassin Dad and His Genius Daughter-Chapter 71 A Commission
Rein Lang was led into a secret room behind the front desk, what greeted him was a bunch of dirty-looking men half-naked with their chests bare dancing and cheering like maniacs around a round table.
The round table had a red layer of clothes covered as a middle-aged man sat there with a meaningful smirk, waving his hand casually. His dark eyes darted from the maniacs around him toward the man entering the room.
His dark eyes immediately turned dull as he raised his chin upwards, in a rather authoritative manner; commanding Rein Lang with his eyes to fear his presence.
The man had a clean-shaven face with a dark circle beneath his eyes as the smirk on his face slowly turned into a smile.
"Ah, what do we have here?"
The dancers suddenly stopped as they turned to look at Rein Lang with strange faces, Rein Lang pursed his lip and gradually walked toward the man in the front as he pulled his bag and placed them on the table with a thud.
"You called me?"
Rein Lang's eyes grew increasingly distant as he watched Mr. Z with a dark expression. Mr. Z was wearing casual western attire as though he intended to go out to play golf.
Mr. Z threw his cigarette to the side of the room as he leaned back onto his seat with a calm expression, silently watching Rein Lang with intrigued eyes.
"I did," He spoke in an extremely thick rural accent, "I need you to do something for me."
Rein Lang adjusted his head calmly and nodded his head.
"What is it?"
Mr. Z didn't bother playing jokes with Rein Lang as he took out a stack of pictures and roughly threw them in his direction, Rein Lang lowered his dull eyes silently.
"I want you to bring me this man," Mr. Z laughed manically as he raised one of his fingers upward, "I am offering you 10 million if you complete this mission."
"Dead or alive, it doesn't matter," Mr. Z smirked cruelly as he carefully observed Rein Lang's expression.
Rein Lang took the stack of pictures and slowly went through them, the pictures were of a rather handsome man. He could accurately guess this man's origin and his job from the pictures.
Oriental-looking and a rather well-behaved face.
He took the pictures and put them inside his pockets, "Alright."
Rein Lang didn't bother speaking any longer and turned to leave before being stopped by Mr. Z's men who guarded the door completely.
"You didn't listen to what I have to say," Mr. Z rubbed his chin temptingly as he smiled meaningfully, "He isn't in China currently."
"He is in Bern," Rein Lang replied indifferently.
Mr. Z was slightly taken aback, "Do you know him?"
"No, but my source has informed me he is a man of suspicion," Rein Lang's eyes fluctuated coldly, "We sent a bunch of our men there but none of them returned."
"…"
Mr. Z sighed gloomily.
Rein Lang shook his head, "He will run to China next month, he won't stay long in Bern."
"After all, no idiot would stay in a place where one is being monitored and chased," Rein Lang held his hat calmly before walking outside the door.
Mr. Z's men didn't stop him any longer after seeing their boss wave his hand, dismissing them from stopping him. Mr. Z leaned down on his chair comfortably before pulling out another cigarette.

Ren Ye's eyes moved constantly before rolling, he felt someone was shifting on the bed; making him frown uncomfortably.
The person seemed to notice his waking state and instead of continuing to bother him, she quickly got up and walked to the windows, adjusting them silently; making sure the sunlight didn't shine directly on his face.
She walked out the door with light steps and slowly closed the door, leaving behind a whiff of peach fragrance behind.
Ren Ye's eyes suddenly opened and shot up from the bed, "She's finally gone."
He has been pretending to sleep for an extremely long time. Even though he was involved in rigorous exercise yesterday, he couldn't fully sleep because of excitement.
He has been wanting to try out his weapons!
Ren Ye wanted to hop out of the house but Ren Ye heard heavy footsteps nearby as he raised his head up with excitement, the door slowly opened and a little girl's head peeked out with shyness.
"Papa…"
She said adorably, Ren Ye's eyes curled up with joy.
"Papa already woke up, Mama said Papa was too busy last night," The little girl said innocently.
"…"
Ren Ye didn't know whether to laugh or cry as he got out of bed casually and extended his arms to the running little girl, he raised her up and swung her around playfully.
The little girl pressed her tiny face against her Papa's as he swung her around, making her giggle endlessly.
"Papa is so strong," The little girl remarked happily as Ren Ye hugged her as swayed her legs back and forth, "Can you swing Mama like this as well?"
"…"
Ren Ye coughed awkwardly and put the little girl on the bed, "No. Compared to your Mama, you are lighter to hold."
"Papa, don't say that. Mama will get mad at you," The little girl couldn't help but defend her Mama from her Papa's comments.
Ren Ye raised his eyebrow, "Alright then."
"You are cuter than Mama, that's why I can swing you," Ren Ye joked with a deadpan expression.
Ren Jia shook her head with complaints in those black shiny orbs, "Papa, shh!"
"…"
"Papa can say that to me but don't let Mama hear about it or else she would make you pick grass out of her garden," Ren Jia made a shush gesture to Ren Ye, who nodded his head.
"Alright then I will pick all of the grasses," Ren Ye rubbed her head gently before giving her a little pat.
"Papa! Mama told me if Papa wakes up, I would need to tell Papa to go downstairs to eat."
"Mama said she has to leave early today because of Mama's job," Ren Jia informed her Papa with a childish frown, imitating her Papa's casual expression.
"Okay."
Ren Ye nodded his head.
"Could it be someone came to make trouble again?" Ren Ye couldn't help but overthink, "Or is she recording another album?"
Ren Ye didn't restrict her freedom as he wasn't the kind to restrict someone close to him. After all, restricting a human was harder than having to lecture a cow at times.
It had been his thinking in the past.
If someone didn't follow him in the past and made trouble for him, there were two options for him to choose to stop them.
One was by breaking their legs and their arms and the second was to kill them.
Although it was twisted, Ren Ye gradually grew out of it and didn't bother keeping the way of thinking in his current life. Feeling as though the current world has a rather stable and orderly way of life, unlike his past life.
Where the nobles and royalty rule the country and the peasants suffer, being sent to die at the border or work to death so they could feed their boss, leaving none for themselves.
Ren Ye shrugged helplessly.
Ren Ye and Ren Jia both went down, sitting in the kitchen. Butler Zhao casually greeted them with a respectful nod, "Good morning, Master and Young Miss."
Ren Ye waved his hand, "We don't need you here, you are free to go. We can serve ourselves."
Butler Zhao nodded his head and ordered the servants to clean up the bedrooms and bathroom.
Ren Ye looked at Ren Jia, Ren Jia's lips curled up into a smile, "Papa, are we going on an adventure?"
Ren Ye nodded his head and patted her on the head, "Where do you want to go? I will take you there."
"Oh! Papa! I heard from Sister Ling that a kid's amusement park opened next to Central Mall."
Ren Ye nodded his head with a smile, "Shall we go there?"
Ren Ye couldn't wait to spend lavishly on his daughter after getting his paycheck, he wanted to buy her all the good things in life.
After finishing their porridge, Ren Ye felt the taste was extremely suited to his taste; wondering if Jing Xue ordered her chef to make it taste exactly how he likes it.
Judging from her attitude and status in this villa, it seemed likely.
Ren Jia appeared to be enjoying her food as she nodded her head after each slurp of the porridge, she couldn't help but look at her Papa with luminous eyes.
"Papa, I feel the porridge tastes extremely good."
Ren Ye nodded his head, agreeing with her.
"Mama is an extremely good cook!"
Ren Ye's eyebrow suddenly raised itself after her remark, his heart was filled with warmth and surprise. He didn't believe he was eating out of her well-made dish.
Although it was rather stereotypical of his thinking, Ren Ye didn't think a rich third-generation like her would enjoy this sort of thing, believing she grew up in an extremely easy household; not needing to do anything.
