Avatar: Mage of All Elements-Chapter 110
Chapter 110 - 110
As consciousness faded, I flew into darkness. It sounded silly because I was essentially already there, but the absence of light was not darkness. I was flying into darkness. But it wasn't boring because I could hear Linya screaming.
Even though she said she was ready to die, she wanted to live. After all, she was only seven hundred years old and hadn't even become a true kitsune yet. It's sad, but there's nothing you can do about it. I wish I knew what that mist was, but it's too late.
I don't know how long I was flying in the darkness, but it felt like a few minutes. Still, I couldn't prevent myself from falling. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt. I didn't feel anything, I just stopped falling. I tried to look around, but of course I couldn't see anything except for Linya, who was looking around lost. What is she doing?
I tried to swim to her, and I succeeded. But even after I grabbed her, she didn't react to me. It was as if I didn't exist to her. You know, it's scary. For me, because I'm a social being. But I was distracted.
I don't know how, but I felt something coming. It was scary, but I grabbed Linya's fur and swam to the surface. Or was it the bottom? I don't know, but I swam to where I fell. I even swam out, but something kept Linh away. It felt like she had to stay here while I only had a CHANCE to get out.
Meanwhile, that something was getting closer. I didn't know what to do. Elemental magic was missing and energy magic was blocked. On instinct, I swam out as far as I could and pulled Linya under me, hoping to survive somehow.
And then came the blow. A blow so strong that I could never have managed to survive it. And it came flying at me. Only my instincts saved me, I managed to close myself and Linya took all the damage. The impact was so strong that she was annihilated and I was thrown upwards by the shock wave.
Only when I flew high enough did I see that a world was being destroyed, and from its shards something else was being created. Remarkably, it was the same color as the nebula.
I looked up and saw a string. It was small, thin, but golden, and it smelled so familiar that I gently grabbed it and was slowly, but gradually, pulled somewhere. I knew where. And I was right. A moment later, I was flying to Azula.

POV The army at the portal
The army that had gathered at the portal was dispersing. They had won without any casualties. That was what most people thought. But few realized that it couldn't be that simple. Yes, they had eliminated the main threat in the person of Yoko, but what he had done no one knew, and somehow they didn't think to ask.
Korra and Unalak do not come to their senses, the portal is gone, leaving a small hole, and not far away, in a coffin, lies Yoko. They decided to bury him here. Though the reason is trivial, they were afraid to show Azula, since everyone wanted to live.
And no one doubted that she would kill anyone who brought her the news. But no one wanted any trouble, so it was a cowardly decision.
Everyone dispersed, and Katara and Kaya (Katara's daughter) treated Korra and Unalak. The others waited anxiously. Half an hour later, Korra woke up.
«What happened in there?» Katara asked quietly, but also demandingly.
«He took Rava and fused her with Vatu», she spoke softly, «Completely separating the spirit world from ours», and after gathering her strength a bit, she continued, «The Avatar is no more, he destroyed the very concept», and passed out from exhaustion.
The news was overwhelming. Many people knew that Yoko didn't like the Avatar, but to like it so much? The Avatar was a bridge between worlds. He destroyed the bridge and completely separated the worlds. An impossible act in its madness, but it happened.
For the first time, many rejoiced in the impulsiveness of the Fire Mages, for no one could understand how such a thing was possible. And what people cannot understand, they destroy.

POV Azula
Women listen to themselves and their feelings much more than men. And when you add magic to that, you get amazing results. Azula felt she wouldn't see her lover again when he left for the war.
It was the first time he had lied to her in their entire life together. And when he left, she cried. Also for the first time in their whole life together. But soon the tears dried up and she waited. Emotions were not felt at a great distance, but she knew there was little good for her beloved.
Soon she learned of the total defeat of the Earth Empire. But the waiting was tiring. It wasn't long before she realized that he had gone to the spirit world. Their connection had weakened a bit, but nothing serious.
He had been there for almost a month. But he came back much stronger. If he was strong before and could roll an Avatar calmly into the ground, he would now snap that idiot of an Avatar in one fell swoop. But he didn't go back to them, he went back to the spirit world.
Azula didn't know what was going on there, but their connection was vibrating like crazy. But it didn't break. When it was over, the strongest wave of energy burst out of the southern portal and circled the entire planet, gathering in the north, followed by an energy explosion. Azula didn't know what the consequences would be, but they weren't likely to be good.
And then this happened. Yoko died. He should have come back to her and waited for her, but that didn't happen. Just as she had feared, the energy blast had disturbed something, so the ritual did not work. She knew he was in this world, but not with her. For over an hour she sobbed like crazy until she heard a thought «We're having a girl, what shall we name her?» ....
As she listened, she realized that they were indeed having a girl. Only there would also be a boy. The ritual really wasn't going as they expected. They were only supposed to have one child, but the string that bound them together now clearly indicated a second child.
«Kaguya.» crying Azula muttered, but with a smile on her face.
