Awakening of the Mind Sovereign-Chapter 30: -Your system doesn’t give you gifts, does it?-
Chapter 30: -Your system doesn’t give you gifts, does it?-
Darkness crept in slowly, wrapping around Elliot like a web of shifting shadows, yet his eyes were filled with mockery. The masked man stood before him, gripping his spear, which was covered in black energy, while the air around him seemed to freeze under the weight of his power.
Elliot, despite facing an opponent far stronger than him, did not feel fear. On the contrary, he smiled. A faint smile, yet one that carried something unnatural... something that made the assassin pause for a moment, hesitating.
Then, in a calm voice, Elliot said:"This is an illusion."
The assassin's body stiffened, his glowing red eyes flickering for a moment. It was as if he had realized something incredibly dangerous, but before he could act, a wide grin spread across Elliot's face as he whispered:
"Die."
Suddenly, the assassin dropped to his knees, then his body shattered into black dust, as if he had been nothing more than a fleeting shadow in the wind. There was no battle, no struggle—just simple words uttered by Elliot, and they were enough to erase the powerful entity that had threatened his life moments ago.
Elliot chuckled lightly, gazing at the empty space where his enemy once stood."Haha... Voice of Magus. My beautiful skill... It's really powerful."
But suddenly, a sharp pain struck his mind, as if a lightning bolt had pierced his skull. He lost his balance, collapsed to his knees, and then completely blacked out.

When Elliot opened his eyes, he found himself lying on the ground, the overcast sky above him. The cold air brushed against his face as a familiar voice called out to him.
"Elliot! Elliot, wake up!"
He slowly opened his eyes to see Kyber kneeling beside him, his face filled with clear concern.
"Finally! You suddenly passed out! Are you alright?"
Elliot touched his head slightly, feeling a bit dizzy, but he quickly sat up straight and replied in a calm voice:"I'm fine. It was just a side effect."
Kyber sighed in relief and extended his hand to help him stand."A side effect? What the hell were you doing? I saw you talking to yourself, and then you just collapsed motionless!"
Elliot stood up, muttering a few cryptic words as he tried to regain his balance. Then, he looked at Kyber with a faint smile and said:"Kyber, I've reached the ninth layer of the Primordial World... I'm on the verge of stepping into the Spiritual Realm."
Kyber's eyes widened in shock as he stared at Elliot as if he had just heard something impossible.
"What?! The ninth layer?! How... how is that even possible?!"
Kyber's voice was filled with astonishment. Even the elite among disciples needed years to reach this level, but Elliot... he had skipped two layers in just two months!
Kyber muttered in disbelief:"This is insane... impossible... No one can advance this fast."
Elliot smiled calmly and replied:"Maybe because no one has tried."
There was no room for debate—the reality before them was clear. Elliot was different, and he was progressing at an unbelievable speed.

After regaining his strength, Elliot headed to the training ground with Kyber, where many disciples were engaged in their daily exercises.
Elliot stood in the center of the field, took a deep breath, then began performing basic movements, feeling the power flowing through his body. There was a new energy within him, one he had never experienced before.
Kyber stood nearby, observing his movements carefully before saying in a low voice:"If you've reached the ninth layer this fast, that means you're only one step away from entering the Spiritual Realm... But are you ready for that?"
Elliot paused for a moment, then said with confidence:"Of course."
Kyber smiled but said nothing more. He knew that Elliot was no longer someone whose decisions could be doubted.
After training, Elliot received an invitation to meet the Sect Master.
When he entered the grand hall, he found the Sect Master seated there, his aura powerful yet requiring no flashy display.

Elliot and Kyber stood before Sect Master Liao Si, a mysterious man with long black hair and a dark robe that seemed to swallow the light around it. His presence was calm, yet it concealed a power that was not easily measured.
"So, you've reached this stage in record time..." Liao Si said in a quiet yet commanding voice.
Elliot nodded confidently. "Yes, I believe I'm very close to breaking into the Spiritual Realm."
Liao Si raised an eyebrow, but before he could respond, Elliot's expression suddenly froze as a system notification appeared before him.
[Congratulations! You have completed the mission: Kill the Masked One.][Reward: Spirit Pill.][Description: Helps anyone reach the Spiritual Realm with ease.]
Elliot's eyes widened as he felt a strange energy coursing through his body. This was the second reward he had received in a long time.
Kyber noticed his surprised expression and asked, "What is it?"
"The system..." Elliot muttered, then unexpectedly smiled. "I just received a Spirit Pill—it can help me step into the Spiritual Realm with ease."
Upon hearing that, a glimmer appeared in Kyber's eyes, and he laughed. "That's great! Looks like things are working out for us!" Then he turned to the Sect Master and said, "Master, if you have nothing else, I'd like to take my leave."
Liao Si nodded slowly.

Elliot and Kyber stepped out of the main hall, where the cold air hit their faces. Elliot took a deep breath and said, "Alright, tell me... How's your system? What's your level now?"
Kyber frowned slightly and shook his head. "Honestly... I haven't completed any missions in a long time, or rather, the system hasn't given me any new missions."
Elliot stopped walking and stared at Kyber intently. "That's strange... Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."
Elliot looked up at the sky, as if something was beginning to bother him, then he spoke in a quiet but heavy tone:"You know... My system gave me a very powerful skill after I defeated you in the arena."
A sarcastic smile appeared on Kyber's face. "Oh? And does your system hand out gifts now?"
Elliot laughed and shook his head. "Yes, but it..." He suddenly stopped speaking, then stared at Kyber with eyes filled with shock.
Kyber noticed the change in Elliot's expression and asked seriously, "What is it?"
Elliot looked at him slowly and spoke in a low voice:"Your system doesn't give you gifts, does it?"
A cold shiver crawled down Kyber's spine. Why hadn't he received any rewards? Why hadn't he been given any new missions? Something was... unnatural.
Doubt began to fill his mind, and a question arose that he had never considered before.
"Elliot..." Kyber said slowly. "Is it possible that there's a difference between my system and yours?"
Elliot remained silent for a moment.
