Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 681: Meeting The Dragons
Daniel stared ahead and saw a massive defensive layer that seemed to separate and seal off two parts of the world. Out of curiosity, he reached out and touched it.
The moment his fingers made contact, his hand exploded. Blood splattered everywhere.
He immediately pulled back, and his hand regenerated within seconds.
"What the hell is this?" he said out loud.
He had seen many defensive mechanisms before, but this one was on a completely different level. It was so powerful that in less than a second, and without him even understanding what happened, it erased his hand.
This defensive structure was so strong that even a National Rank Awakened probably wouldn’t stand a chance against it.
And that in itself was astonishing. Defensive arrays and other defensive structures have many limitations, especially when it comes to something that can stop National Rank Awakened. Anything capable of that is extremely rare.
And even those that do exist cannot truly stop a National Rank Awakened. At most, they can hold them back for a short time or endure a few of their attacks before collapsing.
But this defensive layer, this structure, whatever it was, he felt that it could not only stop a National Rank Awakened, but might even be able to kill one.
"A defensive layer created by the dragons to prevent any invasion or infiltration. Even for me, crossing it is difficult," Evangelin replied calmly.
Her answer only made Daniel more shocked. Even a Demi God could not pass through this easily.
What kind of existence created something like this?
Before he could think further, his body suddenly started trembling. It wasn’t a conscious tremor. It was the kind that wasn’t under his control at all.
It felt like an automatic reaction from his body. An instinct, or something similar.
He glanced at the woman beside him. She looked still, but if he looked closely, her eyelids were slightly trembling.
"There is someone here who needs your help," Evangelin said loudly.
"I’m sure you can see that he has been blessed by your goddess," she added.
As her words echoed, Daniel suddenly felt the trembling in his body stop. It was as if an unbearable weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
However, he immediately felt a pair of emotionless eyes staring directly at his soul and existence, examining everything about him.
The worst part was that he couldn’t defend himself at all. He couldn’t block those eyes. He could only let that being continue whatever it was doing.
It didn’t take long before the gaze left him and seemed to fall on Finn instead, because the young dragon let out a pained and annoyed whimper.
That angry sound was enough to make the being that had been examining all three of them withdraw and stop looking further.
"What just happened?" Daniel asked with a frown, cold sweat running down his forehead.
"They were checking whether you are worthy of entering or not," Evangelin answered simply, but she didn’t explain everything, because there was no need.
The being that created this defensive layer and had just examined all three of them was the only remaining False God in this world.
If she wasn’t mistaken, that dragon wanted to make sure the three of them posed no threat to the dragon race. But for some reason, when it felt anger from Finn, it quickly withdrew.
’Is it afraid of this young dragon? Or does it simply not want to anger him?’ That was probably a question he would never get an answer to.
However, this made her curious. A False God truly stands at the peak of this world. It has no real rivals or enemies. Even if all the Demi Gods joined forces and attacked it together, they would still have no chance.
The main reason why no race or superpower dares to attack the dragons is because of that False God. And yet, such an existence was actually afraid of a dragon child?
Evangelin knew what kind of dragon lineage Finn truly came from, and she knew how powerful those dragons had been in the past. But Finn himself was still just a child.
So why did the False God seem afraid of a baby dragon?
"So what do we do now—"
Before Daniel could finish his sentence, the defensive layer slowly opened, just enough for the three of them to pass through.
They exchanged looks. Evangelin took the first step and crossed the barrier. Finn and Daniel had no choice but to follow her.
As soon as all three entered, the defensive layer closed again.
After glancing behind them, they looked forward and saw two humanoid beings standing there in black armor.
Both had human-like faces and bodies, but they had large dragon wings and two horns on their heads.
"Her Majesty wishes to see you," one of them said in a cold voice filled with slight pride and indifference.
"Lead the way," Evangelin ordered without showing any concern. Her expression was even colder than theirs, and her tone left no room for refusal.
The two dragon soldiers frowned but said nothing. They spread their wings and flew toward the distance. The three followed behind them.
’I didn’t expect them to have human-like bodies,’ Daniel said through mental communication. He had thought he would see the dragons in their original forms like before.
Seeing them in humanoid forms was not what he expected. It didn’t even seem logical. According to what he had heard, dragons had no respect for humans and looked at them with complete disdain.
So why would they use bodies similar to humans?
’Dragon bodies are very large, and that makes daily activities difficult. That is why they use this form. But don’t forget, they are still dragons,’ Evangelin replied.
Daniel nodded and glanced at Finn. He could see excitement and happiness on the young dragon’s face, as if he had returned home, to the place he truly belonged.
It didn’t take long before they saw magnificent palaces in the distance, built among floating mountains.
"So this is where the dragons live," Daniel muttered as he looked around.
The palaces had superior architecture unlike anything he had personally seen before. He could sense presences here that each, on their own, could crush him like an ant.
The place looked so beautiful and filled with silence and peace that he felt as if he were in heaven.
One floating mountain stood higher than all the others. A waterfall flowed down from it, surrounded by clouds, and a massive palace stood at its center.
The two dragon soldiers flew toward that mountain and entered the palace. The three followed them inside.
As soon as they entered, they saw the two soldiers kneeling completely on the ground.
Looking around, Daniel saw dozens of other humanoid dragons dressed in luxurious and noble clothing.
At the front, in the direction the soldiers were kneeling, seated on a magnificent throne, was a woman.
A female dragon whose aura felt vast, destructive, and transcendent. She was so powerful that it seemed her aura could even overshadow Evangelin’s.
"What are you waiting for, lowly humans? Kneel before Her Majesty!" A voice echoed out, accompanied by the pressure bearing down on them.
