Chapter 699: The Dragon Goddess

Daniel took a deep breath, relaxed his muscles, and gave his body a short rest. Then he examined himself again. Compared to before, there was no obvious visible difference.

But he knew his body had gone through a massive transformation. The flow inside him could no longer be interpreted as just power. It was far beyond that.

He could feel a power he had never even been able to imagine before. A power that felt as if, by using it, he could destroy and create worlds.

Daniel also felt a huge change in his mana palace. The palace had completely disappeared and in its place was a world.

It was a simple world, without any of the fundamental concepts or anything a normal world should have. A world where only his Fallen could exist.

But it was still a world. A real world.

[ Description: A flame that played a role in the creation of worlds. A flame that played a role in the creation of life. A flame that will play a role in the destruction of everything. The beginning and the end. ]

He looked at the last notification. He had really obtained that flame. A flame even more powerful and superior to the Four Heavenly Flames.

He had only come here to complete his soul, but he had gained such wonders and unexpected benefits.

He felt that with just his bare fists, he could crush and kill National Rank Awakened instantly. The increase in power he experienced was far beyond what he had imagined.

More importantly, he felt that he was no longer bound by the system’s ranking.

He opened his panel and looked at it.

[ Name: Daniel F Noir ]

[ Race: Innate Primal ]

[ Tier: Third Tier ]

[ Bloodline: The Fallen ]

[ Class: The Fallen Divinity ]

[ Fallen: ???! ]

His eyebrows rose slightly when he saw the changes in his class, race, and the question marks in front of the last three sections. It was more than he had expected.

It seemed his class had changed from Fallen Priest to Fallen Divinity. Also, he could no longer see the number of his Extra Lives or his Fallen.

At first it seemed strange, but after thinking again, he realized it was probably because a world had formed instead of a mana palace.

After all, he now possessed something that no human should naturally have. He had practically stepped out of the system’s cycle and turned into something even he did not fully understand.

Maybe that was why the Mother System could no longer determine how many Fallen he had.

Still, he had many questions. Questions he did not know who to ask.

"Are you surprised?"

Suddenly, that same beautiful female voice echoed in his mind.

Before he could react, a luminous figure formed in front of him out of nothing. A body of light without any clear shape, as if it could only speak and listen.

"The Dragon Goddess?" Daniel murmured. It was not hard to understand who this luminous body was, or at least whose consciousness it carried.

"It is an honor for me that the Heir of the Fallen has come to this trial," the Dragon Goddess said without any arrogance, in a tone that sounded as if she was smiling.

"It is my honor that I was able to come here. What I gained is beyond what I could have imagined, but I am confused," Daniel replied respectfully. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

He was slightly surprised that the Dragon Goddess was not arrogant and that she did not care at all that he had once been human. But it could all be explained by his identity as the Heir of the Fallen.

It seemed that the identity of the Heir of the Fallen was far more important and valuable than he had thought. It practically caused many gods to show interest in him and help him.

"I understand. I did not expect the First Flame to choose you either, nor did I expect it to turn you into a Primal. That was also a surprise to me," the Goddess replied.

"You did not expect it either? I thought it was your will."

"I do not have control over the First Flame. That flame has its own consciousness and chooses its own host. I could guess that it might choose you, but the fact that it was willing to merge with you and turn you into a Primal was my true surprise."

"What exactly are the Innate Primals? I have never heard of such a race," Daniel asked. Because the flame had helped Vermyros fight against him before, he had thought it did not favor him.

But it seemed the flame had only been testing him.

"The oldest race in all of creation. You could say a race that existed even before the gods. A race from which worlds themselves originate. However, that race was supposed to go extinct," the Goddess explained.

"They were a race that stood beyond all existing power systems, because their power was completely different from the currently known and conventional methods."

"They were the source of the beginning, even more powerful and older than the Innate Gods."

"If there is a race from which worlds originate, then why should they go extinct?"

"Simple. They were too powerful. Their potential had no limit. They became so powerful that they even stepped out of The Mother’s control, and that was something she did not like. That is why she destroyed them, though she had to pay a heavy price."

"The Mother?" Daniel frowned. The moment he spoke those two words with the intention of recognizing that existence, he felt his soul and body starting to collapse.

A severe headache, worse than any pain he had ever experienced, filled his mind. He felt like his brain was about to explode at any second.

"It is better not to say her name for now." The Goddess waved her hand, and divine energy entered Daniel’s body. The pain disappeared.

"The awareness of The Mother is everywhere. She must not find out that a Primal has appeared. Otherwise, you will die," she warned.

At the same time, her luminous body began to fade.

"Perhaps you are our only chance for survival and victory in this war. Perhaps with your help, this time we can fight against her and against the Corruption."

"This is also my reward to you for winning this trial. Do not disappoint me."

Before she completely disappeared, she waved her hand. Suddenly, an engraving appeared on Daniel’s hand.

It was the head of a dragon, wearing a crown, a crown that looked as if it had been made from a world.
