From the commentator's booth, Gina and Kevin felt that there was something different going on in the court.

"I don't know about you, David," Gina said, finally seeing Kai's appeal. She felt it was a genius play to make the Champions believe he was going to stay as the pawn of the game, then proceed to reveal himself as the King in the end.

"But it feels like Kai is just getting started."

"Oh, I know what you mean," David said, shaking his head. "It's insane how he doesn't look tired at all. Even Jian looks spent!"

Above them, the Elites were watching intently.

"He doesn't play like this," Fang said, shaking his head as he watched Kai steal the ball from Jimmy—the action barely noticeable with his speed.

"Or, am I wrong? Has he always been this good?" he asked.

Max pursed his lips before shaking his head. "He's good," he muttered. "But he's not THIS good."

Calvin tilted his head to the side in confusion. "Did Kai just get better in the middle of the game?"

Chunlei chuckled, shaking his head. "Ah, really. In our last game, Kai was already good. Now, we're seeing him become the best."

Johnny Wang was on the edge of his seat. The pace of his heart countered that of the players on the court. He felt like he was going to have a heart attack!

Kimmy shook her head. "What are you really made of, Kai Guo?"

Ashley, sitting beside them, looked at Kai with disbelief. "I didn't think it was possible," she whispered. "But he's faster. Stronger. I was wrong for underestimating him. At this point, he'll also..." she muttered, going to her phone to look at her program.

Then, she shook her head once again. "Insanity."

Kai's smirk widened as he felt everyone's eyes on him. He dribbled the ball once and twice, testing its weight in his hands. It definitely felt lighter now. In fact, everything did. It was as if he was playing without friction and gravity. It was hard to get used to it, but he could imagine how his opponents would be feeling.

Jimmy was in front of him, appearing tense. He knew. They all knew.

Jian stood a few feet away, watching him closely. Jian's heart beat faster.

Was it fear? No. It was something deeper—an early thought that, for the first time, he might not be able to keep up.

Kai's movements were smooth, almost casual, as he started his approach.

He faked left, and Jian moved to block him, but it was bait. Kai cut right with a speed that defied logic, leaving Jian grasping at thin air. It was effortless.

David stood as he shouted. "Did you see that? Kai just blew past Jian like he wasn't even there!"

The crowd murmured in confusion. Jian stumbled back, his eyes wide with shock.

He spun around to chase after Kai, but he was already gone, a blur of motion streaking down the court.

Ashley clapped her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide. "Is it really happening?"

Kai was at the top of the key, and Jian and Jimmy rushed to meet him. He didn't slow down.

If anything, he sped up, his legs pumping like a new, expensive machine. He dribbled between his legs, crossing over with a sharp, precise move that left the two behind them.

"Oh my god, did you see that?" Gina yelled, nearly jumping out of her seat. "Kai just crossed them up so hard they're eating dust!"

Sir Dao leaned back, a grin spreading across his face. "He's putting on a clinic," he said, almost in admiration.

Miss Cherry shook her head. "This kid never fails to amaze me."

"You're not getting past me again," Jian hissed, his voice low as he stood in front of Kai.

Kai just chuckled, a sound that was almost condescending. "Oh, Jian," he said, shaking his head. "I already have."

In a split second, Kai shifted his weight, stepping back as if he were going for a fadeaway jumper. Jian leaped up, arms extended high to block the shot, but Kai wasn't shooting. He'd faked the jumper perfectly. Jian's momentum carried him forward, and as he came down, Kai was already moving.

The crowd roared, a sound that was deafening. "He faked him out!" David yelled. "Kai just made Jian look like a rookie out there!"

Gina was laughing, her voice breathless. "This is incredible! Kai's making it look easy!"

Jian turned, his face twisted in shock and disbelief. He'd fallen for it completely.

He'd been outplayed.

And there was nothing he could do but watch as Kai drove straight to the hoop.

The last defender stepped in—Chaoxing. He tried to body him up, but Kai didn't flinch. He was a force of nature now, unstoppable.

He rose up, leaping off the floor with a power that sent a shiver through the crowd.

He soared through the air, the ball held high above his head. Time seemed to slow down as everyone watched, breath held in anticipation.

Johnny and Kimmy were on their feet now, eyes wide as they watched Kai ascend.

"He's going for the dunk," Johnny said.

Ashley's eyes were glued to Kai, her heart pounding in her chest.

Kai brought the ball down with both hands, slamming it through the hoop with a force that rattled the entire backboard. The sound echoed through the stadium, a thunderous crash that left the crowd in stunned silence for a split second before they erupted into wild cheers.

"WHAT A DUNK!" David screamed, nearly losing his voice. "Kai Guo with a monster dunk to end the third quarter! I have never seen anything like this!"

"He just demolished the defense! And what's this? The gap is now at four points. This is the first time in history that someone has done this to the Juren Champions!"

Kai landed lightly, almost like a feather, despite the power he'd just unleashed. He glanced back at Jian, who was still standing there, frozen in place, his face a mask of shock.

Kai gave him a small, almost mocking salute. "Better luck next time," he said with a wink.

The buzzer blared, signaling the end of the third quarter, but the noise was drowned out by the roar of the crowd. They were on their feet, chanting Kai's name, their voices filled with awe and adoration.

Max felt a shiver run down his spine.

Kai was different now.

He had surpassed Jian.
