Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties-Chapter 184: Liora’s Dominance
Zerath stared at Liora. He was confused about what was going on. "Who are you? Why are you helping me?"
Liora didn’t turn to face him immediately. Instead, she laughed hard. "Helping you?"
She glanced back at him over her shoulder and smirked. "You must still be dazed from that attack if you think I’m here to help you."
Zerath frowned as he continued to stare at her. "What—," but before he could talk, Liora cut him off with a sudden act.
Liora leapt into the air. With Zerath being taller, she had to jump to reach her target. She shot her claws out and clamped them around his neck.
"What are you—?!" Zerath’s words were cut off as Liora tightened her grip and smirked. "You’re confused, so let me fix that for you."
With a twist, Liora drove her knee upward, striking Zerath squarely in the head. The impact reverberated through his skull, leaving him momentarily stunned.
He staggered backward and instinctively used his claws to defend himself. He also let out a growl as she snarled. "You... damn—"
But Liora wasn’t finished. She smirked as she landed lightly on the ground.
She turned around and delivered a hard, spinning kick to Zerath’s midsection.
The force of the blow sent his body skidding across the hall and crashing into the wall.
Meanwhile, Delano and Drayton had just regained their footing, shaking off the lingering impact of Liora’s punches.
They then turned to the one who was responsible for their earlier humiliation.
Their confusion soon shifted into anger the moment they knew who she was.
Delano clenced his rock fist and growled. "It’s you, Liora! How dare you attack us! We’re supposed to be on the same side!"
Drayton also nodded as he stepped forward. "We’re in the same camp, and yet you think you can strike us down? Explain yourself!"
Liora tilted her head slightly and smirked as she folded her arms. "Oh, I’m sorry about that. I didn’t realize you were so weak that you couldn’t even take a hit."
The casual insult made both men shocked for a while and increased their rage.
Liora smirked and continued. "I’m truly sorry. I didn’t mean to knock you around so easily."
Delano was trembling in anger as he growled. "You arrogant brat. Do you have any idea who you’re talking to? I’m a general!"

Drayton also added as his molten fist glowed. "And I’m a patriarch. We’re not the kind of people you can mock and get away with it!"
The two seasoned tamers couldn’t contain their rage any longer.

Delano roared as he activated his skill. "You’ll regret this!"
Drayton also prepared his own skill. "We’ll teach you to respect your elders!"
The two of them charged toward Liora. Both of their fists were now filled with so much power than before.
But Liora didn’t move and stood still. She smirked as she watched them approach her. "You’re too slow."
In an instant, spheres of concentrated Silver Flame energy appeared in each of her claws. She grinned as she was ready.
Before Delano and Drayton could land their strikes, Liora vanished and reappeared directly in front of them. "Silver Flame Burst."
She put both her claws in their faces and exploded the spheres right in their faces.
The massive explosion of silver fire engulfed both Delano and Drayton. The force of the attack sent the two tamers hurtling backward.
When the flames subsided, both of them lay motionless. Their fused forms began to defuse as they went back into their human forms.
This time, neither of them moved. Both tamers had passed out for good.
Liora stood tall and smirked as she surveyed her handiwork. "You really shouldn’t have underestimated me."
She then heard something that caught her attention from behind. She glanced over her shoulder to see what happened.
Behind her, the battered Zerath was barely standing. His serpentine body was trembling and cracks appeared across his scales.
Zerath glanced at Liora and growled. "Just... who are you?"
Liora smirked as she turned fully to face him. "You really don’t know?"
Liora smirked as she stepped closer. "Let me enlighten you. I’m Liora, and I’m from Volcaria."
Zerath froze. "Volcaria?"
Liora chuckled. "That’s right. And thanks to you, we managed to find your base."
She crossed her arms as she explained it. "It was almost too easy. All we had to do was follow you after you stole the essence."
Zerath staggered slightly as he absorbed her words. "Damn it. No wonder you found this place... It was my mistake."
He immediately pulled out the Red Dragon Serum from his spatial ring. "I won’t let you go any deeper. Not without a fight."
The moment Liora saw the vial, her smirk faded. "Oh no, you don’t."
Before Zerath could drink the serum, Liora moved. She vanished and closed the distance between them in an instant.
Zerath barely had time to react before Liora appeared in front of him and struck him squarely on the head. "Stay down."
Zerath let out a low groan as he defused. He collapsed to the ground as he was knocked unconscious.
Liora stood over him and reached down to pick up the vial of Red Dragon Serum.
She held it up and smirked as she put it back to her spatial ring. "This will be a good thing for Master Lucius to research."
She then glanced back at Ragnar, who was still leaning casually against the stone wall.
Liora frowned as she raised her eyebrow. "Patriarch, why haven’t you gone deeper yet?"
Ragnar smirked and chuckled. "Why? Because watching you fight was far more entertaining than anything I’d find deeper in this base."
He tilted his head slightly and glanced over the result of the battle. "You’re stronger than I thought, Liora. Way stronger."
Liora crossed her arms and smirked. "I see. Thanks for the praise, Patriarch."
But still, she reminded him. "But now that I’ve handled all three of them, it’s time we finished this."
Ragnar pushed himself off the wall. He flexed his claws as he stepped closer. "Yeah. Let’s go. We’ve got work to do."
With that, the two of them turned toward the deeper tunnels. They were prepared to uncover the final secrets of the base.
