’Yin Jiang felt a surge of panic, terrified that he too might one day have an accident and be unable to remain by Si Shuo’s side. To have once possessed, to become one with her, only to be torn away piece by piece... that agony would be far more excruciating than being locked in a cage!’

As the sky gradually brightened, Yin Jiang held an exhausted, sleeping Si Shuo, her hair damp with sweat. He glanced at Ji Liang in the distance, who had already gone to take over the watch, then curled his lip and departed.

Xiao Cheng gave her a mock-resentful bite. "Big Sis, you’re teasing me again!"

Si Shuo laughed, patted his back, and gently pushed him away. Her expression grew more serious. "Xiao Cheng, you pretend you’re also here looking for Ji Liang, and openly reunite with him."

"Xu Chi and I will follow you while Invisible. Yin Jiang, you go to Yimei and Kouba’s place first and wait for my signal."
