Beastmaster of the Ages-Chapter 3543 - Beastmaster of the Ages
Chapter 3543 - Beastmaster of the Ages
Ahead lay the Grand Myriadpath Ruins.
The valley lord hasn't arrived yet. I still have time, Tianming thought, his gaze turning cold. He really hadn’t expected to be forced into such a dire situation. His original plan had been to set traps, eliminate enemies, and continue growing by leveraging Myriadpath Valley's resources.
But now, all pretenses of cordiality had been torn apart.
Suishen Xiyue’s operation had been quite risky. Fortunately, she had been formidable enough to put Suishen Ranxing at a disadvantage.
And there was one advantage on the Grand Myriadpath Ruins side: the person the valley lord had ordered to capture the Qingchuan family was none other than Qitian Muyue. Tianming deliberately had her delay her actions, buying him precious time.
Since Qitian Xiao was still gravely injured, he hadn’t taken any swift and decisive action, giving Tianming a critical opportunity.
"Back then, during our first meeting, I noticed the shackles on that old man’s ankles were made of a formation. I was still insignificant in Myriadpath Valley back then, only Lan Yun as my supporter, so I dared not act rashly." But now the time had come for Tianming to unlock those shackles.
He and Suishen Jiguang landed on the plaza outside the Grand Myriadpath Ruins. After the recent turmoil, there was only a tenth of the usual human traffic present. However, it had increased from the previous decade, which showed that he had brought renewed hope for a peaceful future to the cultivators of Myriadpath Valley.
"It's Pathkeeper Li!"
"Wow, and Eminent Jiguang is with him...."
Their arrival caused a stir. The situation was vastly different from before.
Today, Tianming was a monstrous talent who had slain an eminent before the age of a hundred, representing the future hope of Myriadpath Valley. As for Suishen Jiguang, her feat of slaying the valley lord's tensource beast had already become a legend throughout Myriadpath Valley.
For Myriadpath Valley’s cultivators, the two of them held a status comparable to Qitian Xiao in the past. Ordinary disciples rarely had the opportunity to see the valley lord.
Even many people within the ruins were drawn out by the commotion.
"Please step aside, everyone. I have urgent business to attend to," Tianming said.
The crowd quickly cleared a path, fearful of obstructing him. Despite his lofty status, his politeness reassured everyone, making them feel like one of his own. The crowd was moved, growing even more respectful and admiring of him. They had been worried that his rise in status would make him arrogant and distant.
It had been exhilarating watching him climb the Fortuna Ranking in the past. Interestingly, his name still remained on that ranking list.
"Auntie Jiguang, assess the situation and make House Qingchuan and the former valley lord's issues public to Myriadpath Valley. News about Suishen Ranxing will likely spread soon, causing further turmoil. Before that happens, we need to seize the narrative and divide the Three Exalted Houses from Myriadpath Valley," Tianming said as they walked.
Though he no longer had the imperial majesty of the Galactic Emperor, his confident tone and demeanor carried a weight that left Suishen Jiguang momentarily dazed. It was as though he still possessed the unparalleled grandeur of an emperor.
"Understood..." she instinctively replied, obediently nodding like a dutiful wife. She was the perfect person to make such an announcement. Her authority in Myriadpath Valley was on par with Tianming's, surpassing that of the three leaders of the exalted houses.
She stepped forward to address the gathered crowd.
Meanwhile, Tianming made his way toward the entrance. He spotted an elderly man with white hair and a hunched posture dressed in tattered clothes. One hand hung limp, while the other held a worn-out book. He laughed with only two teeth remaining.
"Grandpa, long time no see," Tianming greeted with a smile.
"We may not have met, but tales of you have been inspiring me, allowing me to craft an epic masterpiece. Want to take a look?" The old man excitedly beamed.
"A masterpiece?" Tianming glanced at the book’s cover, which bore the boldly written title: Beastmaster of the Ages.
“I wouldn’t happen to be the protagonist, would I?" he asked in surprise.
"The protagonist’s name is Lin Feng. I based his story on yours, applied some artistic license, and made it an epic tale of unstoppable ascension. Truly magnificent!" the old man declared.
"Artistic license? You mean exaggeration, right?" Tianming opened the book.
What he saw nearly made him spit blood. Beneath Beastmaster of the Ages was a subtitle that read: Building a Harem in the Astralscape.
"What is this slander? Am I that kind of person?" he exclaimed.
"You don’t get it! It’s called artistic imagination!" the old man retorted, adamantly defending himself.
Tianming took the high road and ignored him, squatting down to examine the shackles.
"Boy, does my fragrance fascinate you?" the old man teased with a laugh.
Tianming immediately pinched his nose with one hand, while his Sky Plundering Hand got to work.
"Enough with the nonsense. In the past, I didn’t have the strength to pull you out of the abyss. But now that I’m powerful, I can’t bear to leave you here. As a fellow book lover, I’ll bring you out today!"
"Fellow book lover? Does that mean you read the copy of Super Son-in-law: I Have a Pair of Twin Flowers I gave you last time? How was it? Did that scene where the sisters shared a bed inspire you in real life?" the old man teased with a sly grin.
"Enough already!" Tianming was speechless.
The old man gave an amused laugh before he finally stopped his banter. Looking at the young man before him, his eyes welled up with tears as he solemnly said, "If you free me from this abyss, I’ll give you the Grand Myriadpath Ruins."
"Huh? That’s an amazing deal!" Tianming exclaimed.
"Actually, no. I already regret saying that!" the old man grumbled.
"Too late. No take-backs!" Though Tianming already possessed the Blissful Union, who would complain about owning more fortuna-class astralships? The astralscape only had two fortuna-class astralships. If both were under his control, who could possibly rival him?
Motivated, he meticulously worked to unlock the shackles.
