Beastmen Love-Chapter 127: Whisperings In The Forest

At night, every one of Astri’s spouses is hurt, not only Claud. She watches all of them tend to each other’s wounds and sighs a bit relieved to at least see them helping each other. She can’t force them to understand.

Everyone has their own time, and she needs to respect that.

In the next few days they keep doing the same thing, and she’s not liking what she sees. They’re blind and believe that if they force their bodies they will find their powers.

"Wayde." She calls.

Wayde and the others stop sparring and look at her.

"Come." Wayde goes to her and waits for her to say what she wants. "Let’s go. Bathe and let’s go. I want to explore."

"Can you call Claud and the guards? I’m training.." He answers.

She raises an eyebrow, showing dissatisfaction, making him stop talking.

"Let’s go. Please." She repeats.

"Ah.. Do you want to mate with me?" He smiles.

If she could growl, she would be growling at him now. She grabs his hand and walks to the lake. She throws him into the lake, and then with her powers she makes the water swirl around him to wash him faster.

Then she pulls him outside again and throws hot wind to dry him.

"Ready. Let’s go."

She walks away and Wayde obediently follows her, knowing that she gave all signs that she’s mad.

"What did he do?" Tyr asks the others, curious and wanting to know so she doesn’t do the same with him.

Most of them didn’t know the reason.

"She’s not only mad with him. With all of you." Zin says, and they get impressed.

"Zin is right." Claud answers.

"Why?" Koa asks.

"You’re too blind wanting to find your powers. I understand why you’re doing all this training, but you need to remember that it is not strength. You’re doing everything to force your body, but this way you will only get hurt and get more marks, that’s all."

"She’s mad because you’re getting hurt like cubs." Zin says.

"And because you’re not going through a path that will actually find the objective you’re looking for." Claud nods.

They sigh, sad and they sit around the ground and rocks, not really wanting to keep training.

"But how are we going to find our powers? I still don’t understand how it’s possible." Beau asks.

"Think. Why do Zin and Dieg have their powers?" Claud asks.

"Because of Astri." Koa answers.

"Exactly. Because of Astri. Zin, when you were feeling something was off, who did you go to try to understand your own energy?"

"Astri." Zin answers.

"Dieg, what were you thinking or doing that made Nature come back to life?" Claud asks.

"Astri.. All I thought about was Astri." Dieg answers.

"Astri. She’s the fountain of the energy you’re looking for. Like this, you’re looking after other energies. Even if Zin and Dieg keep fighting you with their powers, you will take hundreds of years to actually have any powers." Claud clarifies.

A sense of realization hit on them.

"Train your bodies. There’s no problem with that. But not this way. Of course, she will be mad, she loves us. She doesn’t want us to get hurt."

They sigh, feeling a bit ashamed, but also happy because she just wants them to be happy at the end.

Astri and Wayde are walking around a forest in silence. Wayde is worried and trying to remember what he might have done.

"I’m sorry if I did something you didn’t like.. Can you please tell me what is happening?" Wayde says.

"I’m not mad, love. I just want you to focus on what truly matters." She answers.

"What..?"

She stops and feels the wind breeze.

"I also don’t know all the answers, love. The infinite is not possible to count. But I know where the answers are." She says.

She holds his hands and takes a deep breath.

"You try. Close your eyes and take a deep breath." She says.

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

"Yes.. Now slowly and longer breaths."

He does what she says and relaxes his body after doing it several times. Then he hears voices. It’s faint, but it sounds like a crowd talking. Astri watches his energy and smiles.

Opening his eyes, he looks around trying to see if people are nearby, but he doesn’t sense anyone. He closes his eyes again and then the voices come back again.

She imitates his energy and then hears the same voices too. She smiles understanding what he’s going through.

"Tell me what you’re feeling, love." She says.

"Can you hear voices?" He asks, still with his eyes closed.

"Yes."

"But there’s no one around."

"No?"

He opens his eyes confused and looks at her.

"Do you really think we’re alone here?" She asks.

He looks around and sees the trees and plants. Some birds, and little animals like squirrels.

"No. We’re not."

"We’re not. Exactly."

"What are these voices? Is it them?" He asks, and points to the animals.

"Not only them."

"But they’re soulless."

"When you learned that there are soulless animals, it’s not quite right to affirm that. The soulless things you know actually have a soul, a spirit. They’re just not evolved like us. Remember that I told you that you would be a great leader?"

He looks at her.

"Yes."

"You have an amazing gift, Wayde. You’re hearing the animals, trees and plants. If you can hear them, what else can you do?"

"Talk to them."

She nods.

"Yes. You can lead both beastmen and animals. The plants carry memories as they absorb the energies of everything that goes around them. You can learn things from plants and animals." She brings his hand to a tree. "Feel its energy. And let it go through you."

He looks at the tree and then he feels waves of energies on the palm of his hand. Then he sees people walking there and the scene of him walking with Astri nearby too.

That impressed him to no measurements. He tries with another tree and is amazed.

"I could see the memories of the trees!" He says.

"Can you see how great that is?" She asks, proudly of him.

He smiles and nods.

"I could feel your energy was changed. And I believe this is not the only gift you have." She says, watching his energy flowing through his body.

"Do you know what else it is?"

She denies it with her head.

"No. I can see your energy flowing strongly all around you, but I’m not sure of what this means. You will need to find out. But I can help you." She answers.

He smiles, so in love with her. He goes to her and hugs her tightly.

"Thank you, my love."

"Did you have to fight or spar with anyone here to discover this?" She asks.

He goes back a little to look at her face, now understanding why she brought him there.

"It’s not only a matter of strength, my love." She smiles.

"When I’m with you, it feels easier to feel this. I don’t know how to explain it well. But it also makes me feel stronger. I think that it all depends on how open I am to receive your energy inside of mine. And let it change mine."

"Smart as always. It’s exactly that." She says, passing her hand on his hair.

He purs, feeling her hand, then he kisses her lips.

"I was hoping you wanted to mate with me. But either way, I had a great profit." He jokes.

She giggles, poking his sides, then kisses his lips too. They kiss deeply, and as he’s getting aroused she stops.

"If you feel the energy. The plants and animals can tell you that Galion and four more guards are coming here." She says.

He feels the energies again the way he learned, then he sees scenes in his mind of Galion and other guards coming in their direction.

The realization of the things he can learn from plants and animals is too great in his mind. His powers are even greater than he imagined.

"Can you do the same things I can do?" He asks.

"Yes. Everything you can do comes from me. The powers that you end up accepting in you it’s because it’s the one your energy feels better with."

"I always thought you empowered me. It really happens then. Thank you." He says and smooches her neck and shoulder.

"Miss Astri?" They hear.

They see Galion and the others arriving.

"Could you restrain yourself, Wayde? After what happened we can’t risk anything." Galion speaks.

"That’s all right, Galion. I brought him here for him to stay away from the others and finally see what he needs to see. The others were affecting each other too much on these trainings with each other and you guards." She says.

"I’m sorry if it was disturbing you. We didn’t know."

"It wasn’t. It’s just a reminder. All of you are affected by my and Claud’s energies. That’s why you all live longer. This is something that not only them, but you also can do. However, being my spouses makes them receive more energy and that’s harder to control. Know that to find your powers not always is related to what you’re used to doing for training." She explains to them.

The others nod.

"We can also have powers besides living long?" Galion asks.

"Yes, but not as strong as theirs. They have a direct connection with me. If you get closer to Nature and let it go through you. Start to see your energy as part of Nature as well, you will start to see things differently. That might take time or not. Depends on every each of you." She answers.

Wayde didn’t know that, and he’s sure his fellow spouses don’t know too instead of Claud. The guards didn’t look impressed by her affirmation, so they should have known that they were affected by Astri’s or Claud’s energies.
