Chapter 129: Whirlwinds

As the days pass, Astri’s spouses are waiting for their powers to bloom as they try to stay as close as possible of Astri knowing that all answers are in her energy. Astri tries to make them think about other things so they don’t start to feel pressured again.

Zin’s powers are getting stronger each day, and Wayde found out that his strength and speed are enhanced when he uses the energy from the ground. Watching both of them, Dieg and Claud being the most powerful between them are making the others a little pressured, and Astri is trying to help them with that.

The sea castle started to be built, and her spouses shift turns to watch the construction evolve day by day. One day, Astri wanted to go see the castle and how it’s turning to since she was the one who projected everything there. She noticed that Lee was very stressed, with too many demands as the main leader of the United Tribes, and also pressured to become stronger and be capable to protect his family too.

"Can you take me to go see the castle’s construction?" Astri asks, hugging his back.

She feels his muscles relax under her touch and energy, he smiles and turns around to hug her too.

"Of course, love. I’ll let the others know and organize a group of guards." He answers, brushing her hair and seeing the feather he gave to her, that she still carries it.

She restored it and changed the leather that holds the feather, but it was always there with her. And when she shifts, it’s still there, being the only spousal gift she can carry. She always have to remove Tyr’s necklace, and Koa’s bracelet to not break it. freewebnoveℓ.com

He tells the others that he wants to bring Astri to see the new castle, and that he will bring guards. By flying, they will take one day and half, and he wants to use his turn to spend the most time as possible with her either. And he can feel she wants him too.

As they were getting ready to fly, Astri jumps on Lee’s arms princess style. He looks at her in confusion, because she is capable of flying just like him.

"What? Can’t I be with my spouse?" She asks, and that made him smile happily.

"You can!" He says, kissing her head and lips.

Lee flies to the sky quickly, Galion and four more feather guards follow them. While other guards, Wayde, Tyr and Zin follow quickly on the ground.

High above the sky, Lee soared on the currents of the air, his eagle eyes scanning the horizon. The routine patrol had become a dance between him and the sky, a moment of peace amid the very different life he has now. He believed he could enjoy another peaceful time in the sky with beloved spouse, but today, the sky had a different story to tell.

Dark clouds gathered in the distance, a brewing storm that promised to unleash its fury upon the land below.

Astri could feel Nature telling her things, and she feels the energies around knowing this storm is actually there for a purpose.

"I think we need to go back.." Lee says, but inside of him he felt something different.

He felt a pull toward the storm, an inexplicable urge to meet it head-on.

"Lee! We have to go back!" Galion screams from behind.

"It’s all right, guys. You protect yourselves. Leave me with Lee." Astri tells everyone through their minds.

All of the guards there know about her and her powers, so they leave them be without further questioning. Lee looks at Astri, and she nods at him showing he should follow his instincts.

"Won’t it be dangerous?" He asks her.

"No. Trust me, love. Just feel it and don’t fear it."

As he drew closer, the winds began to churn with more intensity, a wild dance of nature’s raw power. It was in this chaos, this whirlwind of energy, that Lee felt something awaken within him.

For the first time, he didn’t just ride the wind. He felt as part of it. It was as if the storm whirlwind recognized him, greeted him as a long-lost kin. With a thought, Lee found himself not just braving the gusts but shaping them.

Astri smiles proudly as he spread his wings wide, and the winds calmed around him, bending to his will.

"Go. Feel it and let it go through you." She says to him, and then jumps from his arms and opening her wings too.

He watches her flying in the middle of that storm as nothing was affecting her, so he tried to mimic her energy. She could sense his apprehension, but something deep within him stirred, a force that demanded to be acknowledged. Lee focused on the wind, feeling its power, its wild, untamed essence. It was a force of nature, yet suddenly, it felt like an extension of himself.

Curiosity turned into exhilaration. Lee experimented, his movements becoming more deliberate. He directed the wind, creating spirals that danced around him. A sense of euphoria washed over Lee. He tested his newfound power, guiding the winds to swirl in patterns of his choosing.

He commanded, and they obeyed, forming a spiral that reached towards the heavens, a column of air that twisted and turned at his command.

Then, with a surge of confidence, he summoned a powerful gust, and a tornado formed at his command, spiraling upwards into the darkening sky.

The storm around him seemed to pause, as if the wind itself was in awe of its new master. Lee hovered in the eye of the tornado, a calm center in the midst of chaos. He had found his power, a deep connection to the wind that allowed him to command it with ease.

Below, Astri’s spouses and guards watched in astonishment as the storm above seemed to dance at Lee’s command. The tornado dissipated as quickly as it had formed, leaving a clear sky in its wake. Lee descended, flying gracefully beside Astri, his eyes alight with the thrill of discovery.

"I think I can control the wind." he said, a sense of wonder in his voice. "I can shape it, guide it. The storm... it listened to me."

She smiles proudly and nods happily. Astri reached out, her hand brushing against his face. In that moment, everyone realized the extent of Lee’s abilities. He was no longer just a protector from the skies; he was its master.

Together with Astri and her other spouses, they faced a future filled with unknown challenges, but with Lee’s newfound power over the air, and the other spouses’ powers, they felt ready for whatever lay ahead. The discovery of his abilities was not just a victory for Lee but a beacon of hope for all of them, a reminder that in their unity and individual strengths lay their greatest power.

As they descended, the winds gently eased him to the ground, where everyone else awaited. Their eyes sparkled with a mixture of joy and disbelief.

"You... you controlled the storm." Wayde whispered, his voice a mix of wonder and pride.

"I did! The wind... it’s part of me. I can shape it, direct it. It listens to me." he says, his voice steady but awash with the thrill of discovery.
