Beastmen Love-Chapter 156: Another Chance

Dante’s spouse look at Astri from head to toe, then to her other spouses, to ask:

"You want him for you? Why? He would be too weak compared to your other spouses."

"I didn’t say that. And I don’t care about strength. Answer me. Do you want him as your spouse or not?" Astri asks, more serious and losing her patience.

"I don’t need a useless male." The female answers.

"I’ll take that as a denial. And you Dante? Do you really don’t want to be her spouse anymore?"

"No. I never did. She’s too selfish and doesn’t care about anything besides her own desires. I didn’t want a female yet because normally females want males all for themselves." Dante answers.

"Of course I want. It’s the least you need to do to convince me to have cubs with you." The female answers angrily.

"Quiet." Astri says, quieting the female because she remembers Astri is more dangerous than anyone there. "I don’t want to hear you two fighting. What I saw now is enough to know you don’t fit each other."

Astri walks slowly to the female and then looks at her males, all of them look like very obedient spouses and only Dante doesn’t fit there indeed. Then she looks at the female again.

"Dante doesn’t want you because of you, not because he’s a bad male. Unfortunately, because of that fake medicine, he had his integrity and wishes disrespected. I hope you understand that if you want better males you need to become better too. That’s all I can advise you." Astri tells her and then calls Dante to come close. "I’m in debt with Dante and he asked if there’s a way to remove his spousal mark. I will do that for him. What I must remind you all is that this is not something natural. So don’t spread around that anyone can come here and I’ll help them. Am I clear?" Astri says and looks not only to the female but to her males too.

They nod slowly in response.

"I’m serious. If I discover any of you had spread the wrong word about this and people start coming here I will ask my spouses and other leaders to banish you."

"Yes." They answer.

She sighs and then excuses herself. She touches Dante’s chest and then the female’s chest. They see Astri’s eyes shining and moving like the stars were inside of her eyes, shocking them.

Dante and the female felt their chest growing tighter and warm, then slowly going back to normal.

Astri’s legs start to shake and then Kangki holds her so she doesn’t fall.

"Lady Astri! Are you all right?" Dante asks.

"I’m fine... I’m not completely recovered so I got tired that’s all. Look at your beast mark now." Astri answers.

Everyone looks at Dante’s beast mark at his chest and they discover that he doesn’t have a spousal mark anymore. Making everyone impressed.

"I’m not.. I.." Dante says shocked.

"Not mated anymore. I hope you are more careful around females now. Even more now that you will be working as a leader with Xzan. Unfortunately, there are females capable of doing the worst to keep a good male for them. However, I believe females will improve." Astri explains.

Wanting or not Dante made the mistake of trusting that medicine and what that female said about it. He had to deal with the consequences of being immature, but Astri removed that from him and he feels more than grateful.

"Thank you, Lady Astri! Thank you! I will be very careful now." Dante says so happy he wants to jump and scream.

The female is hating to see Dante so happy, but she has to admit that he never wanted her and never will.

"You can go now. I need to rest and recover." Astri says with a tired voice.

"Idiot. You could have waited until you were recovered to help him." Kangki says, carrying her away.

"I’m fine. I’m more tired of the talk than this."

"I’ll make you some tea." Zin says.

Her males go to their bedroom with her and be with her as she rests. Xzan watches Dante sending his ex-spouse away with her other spouses.

"Will she bring problems?" Xzan asks Dante after he comes back.

"I don’t think so. She will probably be very quiet about this. No female wants to be exposed like this." Dante answers.

"I hope so. And how are you feeling?"

"Amazing. I’m so happy. Since I mated with that female my life felt dull and now it feels like I’m back alive." Dante mentions with a relieved sigh.

"Good for you." Xzan smiles. "Astri did a lot for you. I hope she recovers soon."

"Me too. I’ll find out what she likes to eat so I’ll go hunt it to thank her." Dante says.

"And I’ll look after new plants for her." Xzan says walking away.

"That’s a great idea too!" Dante says following Xzan.

Xzan and Dante know that she didn’t guarantee she would be their spouse but they can court her openly, and that’s what they’re planning to do.

As Astri is recovering her mind is traveling to another place, reminding her that she needs to leave for another realm soon.

She’s grateful now that she mastered portals and they won’t have to travel for so long, but she needs to plan with her spouses how things will be since they will be taking all their children.

After taking five days off, Astri feels fine even if the bruises are still fading away. While they’re having breakfast together, she decides to bring up the hard talk.

"I need to talk to you about our next destination." Astri tells them after cleaning and finishing her meal, taking everyone’s attention. "And, of course, discuss the best way to do this. The fact is that I postponed this a lot. Since before Kangki turned back to being a beastman I knew that Nature was worried about that and kept showing me things."

"Where is the place? Is it far like Aquaterra?" Beau asks.

"Very far, yes. But not all the way is through the ocean." She nods.

"How will we get there? We don’t have ships anymore." Lee says.

"When we traveled to Aquaterra, I didn’t know how to make portals. Now I know. And also we have Claud and Kangki to help with that. We can make a portal for us to get closer to the place we need to go and the time traveling will be not so long and hard."

"Oh... That’s nice. I don’t think I can endure so long on a ship ever again." Lee sighs relieved, and she chuckles.

"But can you make a portal to a place as far as Aquaterra?" Koa asks her.

"Yes. With Claud and Kangki, I can. Even if this place would be much more distant."

"How far?" Dieg asks.

"Humm.." She thinks of a way to explain. "Galion, two fruits, please." She points to the fruits on the kitchen counter.

Xzan took it first and then brought it to her.

"Thank you."

She raises one fruit and says:

"Imagine this is the world we live in. Our world is a giant ball."

"A ball? We live in a ball?" Cyprian asks.

"Yes. It doesn’t look like it because it’s too big and it looks flat, but if you fly really high you can see the curve and perspective. We live here." She points at the fruit, then she raises her hand more to the side of the fruit. "This is Aquaterra." Now she runs her finger to the back of the fruit. "This is where we need to go."

"Oh.." Everyone mouths.

"Very far." Cyprian says, impressed.

"The realm is called Nelfeim. Kingdom of giant beasts."

"That’s near the Emperor of Monsters’ territory." Kangki says.

"Yes. It is. However, he’s not the one causing the trouble. It is another Monster King. The Emperor will be grateful that we will wipe out this Monster King. He’s pretending to be a beastman and could become a counselor of the King. The King hears him and is being completely manipulated, resulting in a turmoil of energies there. There are people who are good and are fighting this, they’re the hope for this kingdom. We need to go help them before it’s too late."

"All right, but what do you mean by giants?" Wayde asks.

"There are several types of lizards beastmen, very ancient, however, they look like dragons don’t fly and not all spit fire." She tries to explain, but what Nature shown her are like dinosaur creatures.

"So we will be small before them?" Dieg asks.

"In the size of beasts, yes. That’s not something you should worry about. You’re bigger in intelligence and in power."

"Is there something we should worry about?" Claud asks.
