Beastmen Love-Chapter 172: Father and Son’s Forgiveness

Astri’s spouses talk about how things should be to direct his village to the right path first. Bono and Otto listen carefully. After that, they decide to start with the structure of the tribe, and that means building protection walls, areas for the use of all such as the hospital, leisure areas for females and cubs. After that, they will teach how to manage the tribe.

Bono is a bit overwhelmed with so much he learned that night.

"The walls will need to be different from ours. We need to remember they’re dinosaurs." Wayde says.

"That’s true. Their walls need to be strong to hold the strongest dinosaur. Does the King have a wall around the city?" Tyr asks.

"Yes, mostly to slow the entrance. But any dinosaur can easily put it down." Bono answers.

"How to build such a big wall without it falling?" Dieg asks.

They fall silent for some time.

"Astri might know a way. She’s smarter than all of us here. I’ll project the walls with her." Claud sighs, hating to bring her to do something.

"She can do that?" Bono asks, impressed.

"Yes. She’s young, but has the intelligence of someone twice my age. And I don’t even know my age anymore." Kangki answers.

"May I ask you what kind of beastman you are? You don’t look like it, but I can sense you’re the strongest of them all." Otto asks Kangki.

Kangki smiles proudly, while the others roll their eyes, knowing that Kangki’s ego just increased three times after that.

"I am a Quimera. And yes, the only one here capable of defeating me is Astri." Kangki answers.

"Never heard of. Your aura is dark, but for the Goddess to have you it doesn’t mean you’re evil." Otto analyzes.

"He’s not evil. He’s an important beastman for balance, like Unicorns and Pegasus. He’s more powerful because he’s the oldest." Claud says to lower down Kangki’s nose a little.

"I see.. She must be very powerful then." Bono says.

"She can defeat us even without her powers. And in many ways, if I may say." Beau mentions, and his fellow spouses chuckle, agreeing.

"I’ll go inside and stay with Astri. I don’t think I have many more to add in here now. And it’s my turn to sleep next to her." Zin says, standing up.

"I think we all could rest. We have plenty to do. We need to decide who will be taking the lead with the renovations here. The weather is colder here, and we can’t risk Astri’s and Yuki’s health, so we need to improve everything here too. Leader Bono, you can ask your people to gather materials to build the walls. Avoid taking materials from places too near." Claud says, and everyone nods.

Bono and Otto are walking together in silence. Bono ends up walking to Otto’s cabin, both sitting in the front and staying in silence for some time. It’s a healing silence. Not awkward or painful.

"I’m sorry, father.. For not hearing you. And for leaving you." Bono says.

"You’re my son.. I forgive you. I think I wasn’t wise enough to bring this subject to anyone, and that’s why everything ended like this too." Otto smiles.

"I should have believed you always. I should have protected you either way."

"You protected the way you saw fit. Don’t worry. Now the Goddess is here, and her army too. I have faith things will get better." Otto says.

"She... Is she like that because she’s a Goddess? She thinks differently from every female I’ve met."

"Well.. I don’t know females from other continents, but I can say she’s unique. Take the opportunity to learn from her.. and also heal yourself. Bono silently listened, not being sure of himself. After hearing about so many changes there will be. Listening to what people expect from him made him unsure of his capabilities and strength.

He didn’t decide to be who he is. He simply didn’t want to be near the King, fought to be away, and people simply followed him. The King hunts him, but defending himself made people believe he’s the only one strong enough to defeat the King. He wasn’t planning to become who he is.

The next morning, Astri was nauseous and having a hard time keeping food inside. After feeling less nauseous, she watches Claud, Lee, Tyr, and Wayde trying to project the walls of the tribe. Bono and Otto were watching them.

"What do you think, love? I feel we will waste too many rocks and trees for this." Claud says.

"You will." She agrees.

"But how to hold big creatures? It can’t fall easily, and the taller it is, the bigger should be the base."

"How does a big tree stabilize itself on the ground?" She asks.

"With the base as big as the top?" Lee asks?

"Nop".

"With the roots... The roots are wider than everything else from the tree." Wayde says.

"Exactly. The roots. Build a base underground that will hold a taller wall. And instead of one single wide and solid wall, build two smaller ones and in between put pillars forming the format of several Y letters so when someone breaks in from outside the pillars will hurt them." Astri explains drawing on the paper.

"Oh.. This is brilliant." Claud says, analyzing the drawing.

"I like this.. And what’s this?" Otto asks, pointing at a taller pillar on the drawing.

"Watch towers.. This way not only flying dinosaurs can guard." Bono presumes.

"Correct. Leader Bono is opening his mind already. That’s great." Astri smiles, then walks away to the plantation.

She knows her spouses like the challenges of building something different, so she lets them take the lead with Bono. However, Bono’s eyes keep going to her on the plantation all the time.

"Is there something wrong, Leader Bono?" Wayde asks, noticing his looks at Astri.

"No.. Is it all right letting her do what she’s doing while pregnant?" Bono asks.

"Yes. Astri is very active during pregnancy. She does exercises and keeps training. She proved in her last two pregnancies that keeping herself active helped with the delivery moment. Besides, Astri’s very protective towards her children. She would never risk their lives." Claud answers.

"Training... for what?"

"You will see if you come here in the afternoon."

Bono wasn’t planning on going there during the afternoon, but now he’s curious to come back and see what Claud is talking about.

Zin helps her while Koa, Dieg, Cyprian, and Beau took the lead with the renovations. Kangki is babysitting under a tree, Atlas is playing with a toy on his side. Yuki has her head laid on his thigh on his other side.

"Fawther Kank?" Yuki asks.

"Hum?" He answers, chilling under the tree, watching Astri from afar too.

"Why doesn’t mom become the Queen of the world?"

"The world is too big. She wouldn’t handle." Kangki answers.

"Mommy would be tired.. Is she tired now?"

"No. She’s fine. She’s doing exactly what she needs to do."

Kangki knows Yuki doesn’t understand the entire meaning of what he’s saying, but he also knows that Yuki is worried more about her mother than she understands too.

In the afternoon, Astri is training by herself since no one wants to risk hurting her while pregnant. Bono and Otto came just to watch her training and ended up impressed again.

She’s training with her spear, and her movements are also creating wind, and she’s controlling it so it doesn’t grow bigger than it is.

"Why does she use that stick?" Bono asks Galion, who was watching, too.

"Lady Astri doesn’t have claws or teeth. So the spear is for preventing beastmen from getting near her. However, she uses it for training because it helps her focus her mind. Look at her eyes." Galion explains.

That’s when they see her eyes are moving. Not moving like looking to places, inside of them is like the sky at night and full of stars moving. Like the galaxy was inside of her eyes.

"Whenever her eyes are like that, it’s because she’s using or talking to Nature. She’s not training only her body, she’s training her mind."

"Training the mind..." Bono repeats to himself.

"That’s what makes real strong beastmen. The strength of the mind." Galion says.

Bono has decided now to train and also let his people do that too.

"Who can teach us to train like that?" Bono asks.

"I’ll see what I can do for you. The best is Astri. I trained our soldiers, but she trained them on that side. Letting her train everyone here would expose her too much."

"Lady Astri does not stop impressing me." Otto says.

Bono is walking around the construction of the wall, but his mind is always questioning if he is the right one to be there. The King is 5 marks stronger than him. How can he be someone like a King?
