Became a Demon with Pregnancy System-Chapter 164: Ice Realm
"Ice Realm!"
"War General-level Contract Beast!"
The moment Monica Winters unleashed her ice domain and Noah Truffle summoned his beast, gasps erupted from the audience.
An elemental domain at the mid-tier level? That was unheard of—normally, a domain required a soul-tier elemental spirit at the very least. Yet, Monica had achieved this at a mid-level stage.
It was an unquestionable trump card, an ability that could dominate battles.
And then there was Noah’s contract beast. The Ghost Wolf, a war-general level creature. One look at its razor-sharp claws and savage fangs was enough to tell that it was an apex predator. Against a team of mid-tier mages, it was more than enough to dominate.
With a lineup like this, Imperial Capital Academy shouldn’t have lost the last match.
In the stands, the top students from Xiamen University and East China University looked absolutely devastated.
Earlier that morning, they had been completely crushed by Imperial Capital Academy—and now, they realized that Imperial Capital had been hiding their strongest players all along.
The gap in power was beyond frustrating.
If their academy’s strongest couldn’t even touch Imperial Capital’s weaker team members, what hope did they have against this lineup?
But then—
Something strange happened.
"Wait... what’s wrong with that Ghost Wolf? Is it sick?"
A student from Xiamen University pointed at Noah Truffle’s summoned beast with a confused expression.
Contract beasts and wild demons weren’t that different—both were naturally violent and aggressive.
Even under a contract, a summoned beast should never cower or act weak.
But right now, Noah’s Ghost Wolf was shaking violently.
"Noah, what’s your wolf doing?! Get it together!"
Noah’s voice was sharp, his frustration evident.
This was supposed to be his moment to dominate, to reestablish Imperial Capital Academy’s superiority. But instead, his beast was making him look like a laughingstock.
The Ghost Wolf let out a weak whimper, shifting slightly.
It moved forward—but only on its stomach, dragging itself forward as if forced into submission.
"Huh? Is this some kind of strategy?"
Finn Harper, another Imperial Capital Academy student, raised an eyebrow.
Maybe the Ghost Wolf was faking weakness, trying to lure Luke into a false sense of security?
Noah frowned. That wasn’t part of his plan, but it sounded good.
If the Ghost Wolf could get close enough, with its superior speed, it could close the distance instantly and take down Luke before he could react.
"Wow, Noah, I didn’t know your Ghost Wolf was that smart."
Liao Maddox chuckled.
At first glance, this strategy seemed stupid—but if it worked, it would shock everyone.
Most mages would never let a war-general level beast get close without pulling back.
But Luke wasn’t moving.
He stood there, completely still, watching the trembling wolf crawl closer.
"Haha! This guy’s an idiot!" Noah burst out laughing. "He’s completely frozen in fear!"
His laughter echoed across the arena.
"What a joke! Celestial Academy is humiliating itself this year. How did they let a nepotism recruit become a mentor?"
Meanwhile, in the stands, Zoe Miller watched the match with a smirk.
"Hey, Marissa, how do you think the wolves are doing lately? Haven’t seen them in a while."
"Luke took them to the Avalon Lake territory for a while," Marissa Jones replied with a chuckle. "They should be close by."
"That’s great. I kinda miss playing with the big wolves in Blue Wolf Valley," Zoe mused, stretching lazily.
Marissa nodded.
She could still remember running through the forests, playing with the mighty wolves that had once roamed freely with Luke.
Below them, the Ghost Wolf in the arena continued its pitiful display.
"Man, that little wolf moves fast." Zoe smirked. "One whiff of Luke’s scent, and it turned into a pet dog."
"They recognize bloodlines," Marissa explained. "Luke must have an extremely high-ranking lineage. If it weren’t for the contract binding the Ghost Wolf to Noah, it would have submitted to Luke completely."
"A shame," Zoe sighed.
Their conversation was quiet, barely a whisper—but the students nearby weren’t paying attention to them anyway.
Instead, they were too busy screaming.
Like Noah, they had assumed that the Ghost Wolf was using a strategy.
They had believed it to be cunning and deceptive, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
But now, the truth was clear.
The wolf wasn’t faking anything.
It wasn’t being strategic.
It was terrified.
Its large, intelligent eyes weren’t full of bloodlust or violence.
Instead, it looked up at Luke with devotion, sitting down and gently rubbing its head against his clothes.
Occasionally, it let out a low, submissive whine, trying to gain his approval.
The entire arena fell into shocked silence.
No one could process what they were seeing.
Contract beasts weren’t supposed to switch sides.
No one had ever seen a war-general level beast completely abandon its master and submit to someone else.
Even Noah was frozen, his face drained of color.
"Evil beast! What are you doing?! Get back here!"
His voice cracked with rage, his foot stomping into the ground as he shouted.
The Ghost Wolf didn’t react.
It didn’t even glance at him.
Noah’s fists clenched in frustration.
"Damn it! WHY?!"
His scream of rage filled the arena, but the Ghost Wolf simply ignored him, gazing up at Luke with worshipful eyes.
Everyone was speechless.
Even the referee was too stunned to speak.
But while the entire arena reeled in confusion, one person remained calm.
Monica Winters.
Her beautiful ice-blue eyes stayed locked onto Luke, her lips pressing together in thought. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"What... is he?"
She had expected a good fight. She had expected Luke to be a strong opponent.
But she hadn’t expected this.
Even in her Ice Realm, she could sense no magic from him.
If Luke had cast a spell to control the Ghost Wolf, Monica would have noticed immediately.
But he hadn’t done anything.
The Ghost Wolf had submitted to him of its own free will.
Monica’s fingers curled slightly.
She would have to see for herself.
She stepped forward, her ice-star atlas lighting up as her breath turned the air frigid.
"Looks like I’ll have to do it myself."
